24:30 man this one hurts to watch this was a free switch to Kyogre, there was no reason to predict EQ into Braviary if Kyogre comes in and eats Heavy Slam, you get the Origin Pulse into Ting Lu if Kyogre comes in and dies to EQ, you send in Braviary without needing to risk the switch in, he's at full health, and you have the rain to guarantee Hurricane never misses. plus agility to prepare for whatever might be in the back. you played that game perfectly up until that point, sooo close to #1 next time, I believe, you got this Freezai!

Thunder doesn't KO. Both are 110 BP. Kyogre has STAB and rain on Origin Pulse so 1.5*1.5*110 = 247.5 which means 75% chance to KO vs Thunder which is super effective for 2*110 = 220 which means 6.3% to KO. Plus Hawlucha can tera fighting or flying. If it's tera fighting then Thunder never KOs.
Unfortunate miss on Origin Pulse, it was the best chance you had to win :( Surprised that calcing it myself Thunder has a 6.3% chance to ko when I thought it would have definitely koed from that range. Bummer :/
In that final battle, the tera water on palosand is a misplay. Its ability makes it immune to surf and its immune to volt tackle by being ground. Palosand is actually a pretty hard pikachu counter. Tera water only made them able to pressure you with big volt tackle damage. It also made you unable to tera late game against the hawlucha. Did you not have a safe thunder play in the last couple of turns of that final endgame? Given that its fully accuracy in rain, as well as super effective (obv)
I had an extremely similar game as the last one with a volt absorb pikachu completely changing the match, possibly the only mon that could have lost me the match at that point lmao
For those who don’t know, I checked the ladder an Freezai’s elo is now 2208, I guess he tried recording another vid but lost A LOT in a row. 2495 - 2208 elo
No, the site has ELO decay which causes you to lose a lot of ELO every day. These were all recorded 1-2 weeks ago and Freezai went to worlds. His GXE, which doesn't decay, is still really high. So the drop is due to him not playing. Not sure if he got to #1 though.
I’m sorta confused on using origin pulse instead of thunder.
