well the star was a LOT smaller than our sun, so much so that even at that point, closer than all other stars, it probably wasn't bright enough to see.

1. smaller doesn't always mean denser, the earth is denser than mercury, even though mercury is smaller. denser means that there is more weight in a cubic centimetre of the object's material than the other object's material.
Density wouldn't help unless it was dense enough to be a neutron star or a black hole. that star also has less gravity because it is a red DWARF star.

It came MUCH CLOSER than most suspect, so close in fact that it left an asteroid belt of the planet it ripped apart and sent a chunk of it(Vesta) into a grazing impact with Mars, which incidentally had lush forests, water, & life at the time. As Vesta grazed Mars two chunks broke off of it and Mars received two moons as a consolation prize, Phobos & Deimos. Oh yeah, one more thing: the swarm of dead comets Scholz's Star sent hurtling towards the Earth is a cyclical event and Chelybinsk was the beginning of the swarm(a small chunk of a 600m dead comet that passed two years afterwards on the exact same trajectory as the Chelybinsk meteor). But don't worry because the real bad news isn't until the year 2880 when there's a 1:1 chance of a major impact event according to NASA & ESA observations. The next major event we'll see is the keyhole event of 99942 Apophis in 2029 which MIGHT impact the next time after that unless diverted. Fortunately, they have already successfully diverted a 600m rock. Unfortunately, 6 miles wide is exponentially more difficult to divert. But hey, no worries, the world doesn't end until the next rogue star swallows it whole and almost everyone will be dead long before then. Comforting thought isn't it?

Internet wasn't a thing before and I didn't know anything about rogue stars, what i know before was the star in my dream is our sun, and it's getting nearer, hotter, the whole atmosphere's becoming red, everything's shaking, everyone's hiding, and all life on earth's just melting... i'm glad to remember those horrible dreams as this is somehow the perfect video for it.

Gliese 710 will likely get no closer than the Oort cloud, though some think it might actually get close enough to disturb Kuiper Belt objects. It will not greatly influence solar system planetary orbits, though it will increase incoming meteors. It may pass anywhere from .22 to 1.09 light-years from the sun; its trajectory is very sensitive to its current course and speed, which are not yet well known.

The planets in the foreign system wouldn't have much effect unless one passed close to a planet in our Solar System, which, given the stats above, is very long odds.
1:06: Uhhhh, stars in the galaxy don't make turns and go in the opposite direction. What you meant to say is the star passed at 0.8 ly from the sun.
0:32 A rogue star is one understood to be traveling in an unusual orbit around the galaxy or at an unusual speed. Gliese 710 is neither, and Scholz's Star probably wasn't either.
