I’m so into this so far! I’m totally bugged by the color code and size, lol, so I looked it up. The color of the actual metal hook depicts what size. Your metal is blue for 4.0mm 😉
I went to the company web-site. they all have pink handles. the part that is color coded is the metal shaft part. the blue shaft corresponds to 4.0 mm.
Won’t rush out to buy one. I’ll wait till a few more teething problems have been resolved. Interesting though. Happy New Year 🎉🎉🎊. Thanks from Australia 🐨🥳🇦🇺
Wow I want one, two, maybe three of them!! Well I just thought of something...I was going to buy one due to my memory, but that would not help, I would just forget to push the button. Lol hmm🤔🤔 Great review!
If you look on the website, the colour of the actual hook and not the handle is what defines the size, blue for 4mm, silver for 4.5mm and pink for 5mm, hope this helps Steph xxx Great review by the way, thank you xxx
Thank you so much for your honest presentation. I don’t think this is right for me. It would definitely slow me down which means I wouldn’t faithfully and with intent, press the count button. 😁 I will however use your suggestion of using stitch markers. I never even thought about using them for counting. And I 😮 HATE counting! I usually use the tally method. Thanks again.
Great review of this product. I watched your video and theirs. i don't see myself using this now. Think the product needs refinement. While my hand might be able to adjust to a bulkier hook, I don't trust myself to press the counter for each stitch, and definitely need a product that will zero out quickly to be of value to me. Thank you for bringing such new products to our attention:)
Thank you for the review. As you where explaining it I had the same concerns you ended up mentioned. I use a finger counter for rolls and stitch markers for stitches. But now I’m thinking a finger counter might work for stitches. Maybe?
Great review, Stephanie. Thank you. It's a good idea but the execution is too stiff (hard) to operate to consider getting this hook. I hope you'll be able to send this review to the company so maybe the next version will be easier to operate. I think I'll stick to my colorful little stitch markers. ~db
I have one of the hooks and there are a few things you got wrong. 1. The size of the hook is shown by the color of the metal on the hook. Not the plastic. If you look at the website, all of the hooks are pink. But the color of the metal changes depending on the size. 2. You never really have to count down. If you press the row button, it automatically goes back to 0 stitches. You only need to hold the button if you mess up and need to count down a stitch or two (if you accidentally press it) I've never had a problem with it missing count. I think you're just not pushing it hard enough. I think they made it that way so you don't push it on accident.
1: Yes, that was pointed out to me after the video was posted here in the comments. Be that as it may, it still doesn’t change my opinion that there needs to be a printed size on the handle. I don’t want to have to go to a website to remind myself which color is for which size. 2: Really? Holding down the row button resets both the row and the stitch count at the same time? That is how I understood it reading the directions. I’m glad you’ve never had an issue with it and like it. It isn’t for me and that’s okay. It would be a pretty boring world if everyone only liked and disliked the same things.
I love this review!!! Thank you! I think I would have the same issues. I really love the idea though. Maybe the next version will have some kinks figured out! Thanks again
Thank you for the review. I’m a lot like you, oh a new crochet hook, I must have, lol. I will not buy one at this point, I can see how it would slow you down and miscount stitches/rows.
Good review Steph! Thank ya much. Hopefully the company will see this and be able to make some revisions. I think it's supposed to mimic the Clover Amour Hooks. With thickness, hook and thumb rest. If thats the case I can see why you need to click with purpose. If the botton is under your finger as you work you wouldn't want it to to engage to easily. Well, possibly for those pencil grippers. Im curious, ( giggling) if one with a snug grip would be a super clicker. It would be fun to try. But I agree, on all points. Not being able to clear count definite lag you down, mess with your crogo..oh no! Im thinking it's going to be ok for certain needs. For those of us whom Chet intently, ummm? Lolol ok yammering lol Steph. To you and your family may you have the best and Merriest Christmas ever with blessing and peace that flow graciously throughout your new year. Hugs n Blessn's sweety💞 🎄🧶🎄🧶🎄🧶🎄🧶🎄
I love this! Just got the ring one and its not automatically counting. Is this hook count stitches automatically? It looks like it does. Thx for great video
No, it does not. You have to press the buttons on the handle of the hook which proved to be problematic for me as I showed in the video because of how I hold my hook. I kept accidentally pressing the buttons which made the entire purpose of the hook wasted.
Thanks for the review. I think I’m too OCD, lol, It would probably really slow me down, I would be too worried about missing stitches and counting them anyway🤣😂🤣
Thank you for the review - Not for me, though; too slow for me and too easy to drop stitches. Like you, I'll stick too my stitch markers. Besides, I work with a variety of hooks/sizes. Not really convenient for me since I would end up recounting manually anyway. Seems we have the same ocd, lol. Have a good one :)
Perhaps you could just use the stitch counter to keep track of just each 20 stitches. It would be easier to just have to push the button every 20 stitches rather than after every stitch. Otherwise I am not impressed enough to use it to count every stitch. Thank you for this amazing review.

😂 oh yes I have to mark every 20 stiches.... and doing more effort with my eyes, recounting. I hope Than counter hook help us! Thanks for sharing😊

Thanks. Made it clear why or why not to buy one.
Wow I want this hook

Yes anything over 100 stitches I do the stitch marker/row markers. Thank you.

You do have a blue hook as the flyer shows. All handles are pink. Seems time consuming to stop and push the button on each stitch.
Thanks so much. Great review.
The hook is blue for the 4 mm

Thank you for the review - Not for me, though; too slow for me and too easy to drop stitches. Like you, I'll stick too my stitch markers. Besides, I work with a variety of hooks/sizes. Were you paid at all to do this ad?
No.
Your handle is pink but the hook itself is blue.
The actual hook itself is blue
Your hook itself is blue.
Just push the row button once and the stitches automatically go back to 0.
👍
oh my goodness, pressing a button to count every stitch.. no thanks
This is not for me... Too finicky... Thanks for checking it out for us...
Thank you I guess I won’t buy it. I hold my hook like a pencil.
I hold mine like a pencil, but surprisingly, I've never had an issue with pressing it on accident
