Its a 45 min drive for me. Not too bad but not ideal.

Cool variety of pieces. I try to go every other week to one of the big malls in my area. Was excited that LEGO moved to more eco-friendly boxes but then immediately dejected when I noticed the price hike. Oh well!
The white palisade bricks (I think that's what they are called) are very cool and versatile (as you mentioned). The "nicer" LEGO store near me had them in grey so I got a ton for making castles or adding interest to grey walls.
I am sort of cheap so I always take like 30 minutes to an hour to really stack pieces and maximize the cost of the box. So far, so good. People always see me doing it and ask, "Is it really worth it?" I tell them, "It's actually relaxing to me and, for plates and bricks - definitely worth it."
Sometimes I make a "well" or area in the box, between stacks of 1x6 brick (as walls) and then filter in smaller elements in those pockets.

I got a bunch of them in dark Grey also a few trips ago. Unlike you I am too impatient to stack the bricks. Especially the plates because they are so hard to seperate.

The only Lego stores near me are two hours away. I'll have to be satisfied with buying clearance sets or bulk Lego online. I started building a house for my OC character, which will probably take up at least four baseplates, plus some extra for the backyard.

That's a bummer. I have two right by each other but it's a 45 min drive. Not horrible but I don't go often.

@@bricksculpt If any were closer to me, I'd absolutely visit them when I have spare cash. As it stands, I just fret that my town's Goodwill doesn't have local pickup anymore, so I will have to pay for shipping, even though they're just a bit down the street.

I know its not you but wtf is this part selection lol, the pieces suck. Can't think of any good builds with these pieces, 1x4 trans-blue tile is nice though.

Like I said it wasn't the best selection I've seen recently but I can't say no to pick a brick.

So I’m new to the Lego store only been once, and I’m wondering how much do those lose legos run for because some of the sets are crazy expensive! being a life long nanny I saw what moms did with old legos so now that I have my own kid I basically bought a bunch of bulk Lego for Christmas for the price of like 2 sets and we have lots and lots of Lego and my kiddo who is 5 is having the time of his life building in-fact he likes building his own versions of sets he doesn’t have, more than following along with a set build, he got a bunch of actual sets for his 5th birthday and basically I’ve been building them lol which I love and I also think it might be cause they are a bit beyond his age and he just can’t build for that long but I’m over here reliving my unfulfilled childhood so it’s all good I guess 😋 glad I found your ch! Im thinking of making some Lego videos too but not sure how my plant friends will take it.

Would you be willing to share what a box like this cost in your area? Simply curious. Thanks

I saw that yellow slide piece on the PAB wall a few months ago and got 3 of them to make a tall spiral slide out of it.
