Also for what you were talking about at 15:30, in my experience 30fps is enough. 60fps is more important for gaming or sports footage where rapid movement needs to stay crisp
I would also add that for blog posts, I'm most often watching/listening on my phone, so the difference doesn't matter. When the subject is more focused on showing detailed builds, that's when I'll switch to a 4k TV. Hope that's helpful!
Frankly, for me, it is a real pleasure to sort my pieces after a purchase on the wall. My record is 34 pots and I spent five hours sorting everything. I go home, I empty everything on the dining room table and I sort them out before I put them awaywith à good serie I find it so pleasant that it relaxes me 😂😂😂😂 In France we have rock elements and I buy 5 large pots and 6 dark green foliage as well as 7 pots of nougat and white bricks
I've been following you for about 4 months now, and I see that your content is basically focused on your collection. Since you said that there are a lot of people on the days that there are parts replacements, it would be cool if you could ask all those brick masters to do interviews and show you their collections and tell you how they hope to improve them or continue to expand. It would be a super cool content from which you could also get ideas for your own basement.
If you'd like a strategy to help prevent you from over-spending on the PAB cups, I'd recommend only keeping the number of cups in your car that you are comfortable filling and paying for in one shot. That way you'll never fill more than you're comfortable with. (Unless you buy new cups).
I think that your Disney castle would fit just a little better in the back corner of the new shelf. Just a tip from someone who really loves to organize! You have such an awesome collection!!
The trophies - you could use them in the mansion. I know you finished it recently, but those could be on a trophy wall for races won with the cars. They could also be used as fancy plant planters on sidewalks or outside big homes/mansions.
I did notice the reduced frame rate in the last couple videos. The lower frame rate doesn't work well for fast sweeping shots like when you're walking around the room filming but would be fine if the camera is steady on a tripod.
The LEGO factories are only worthwhile if the weight of the individual brick in low. There was a RUclips video which said that it was cheaper to get the bricks directly from LEGO pick and build. I think it was about 10 Euro for a 100grams of LEGO. Some parts you are restricted to just 100grams. Things like plate hinges would be brilliant due to their high costs. It is great to see the PAB wall improving the selection of pieces.
I know you’ve been wanting to dive more into the lighting for your city maybe since you have all those transparent yellow slopes you can add a building fire or do without the lighting and it would still add a story to your city! Love the progress keep it up!
Just about 2 months ago, I went and got my very first pile of stuffs off the PAB wall. Had a lot of fun with that and scored enough light grey 8x8 plates to make a grey MILS.
I said a long time ago that the PAB wall should be sold by weight, but maybe the way they do it by cups helps get rid of pieces faster as people do as you do and add filler pieces they may not need just to fill the cup and get their monies worth.
What I have every week, if I go. No time to save space. So small stuff for the lower rim, then small stuff to fill up the gaps. No wagon wheel mounting parts, that go with the wagon wheels? They are great, they are also good to upgrade your city cars to eight wide. Hey, no lantaarns poles, at all? It would have let you add some more lights to your streets. Heh, somebody had some luck, then, pre-packed. Nice to know what the next few weeks might offer, in terms of new parts. Nice. Say Bricksie, if you get a few more plank mounting holders, think you can add say another sword, above your helmets?
I live in Japan, and the lego discovery centres in Osaka and Tokyo do PAB walls by weight, for small parts it works out to be too bad, but with big pieces not so much. Also the PAB walls at lego stores here in Japan are very poor, many bins that are duplicated and many parts that have been sitting on the the PAB walls for a very long time.
Me personally I'd prefer you film in the 1080 at 60fps, at least for things other than timelapses or a showcase where the camera is fixed. Your usual style of filming just has a lot of movement which is totally fine at 60fps, but a bit jarring in my opinion at 30.
When it comes to the video, other than trying not to bounce around too much, a stabiliser/better stabiliser for it will reduce the bounce. RUclips will probably savage the resolution quality for almost everyone anyway. This doesn't mean that recording in 4K isn't a bad thing, it's better to record in a higher resolution as this allows your video editing step to reduce the resolution, smooth the panning, and so on.
hey there, I have a degree in film making and technically 4k 30Fps (or 1080p 30fps) will be fine because human eyes can not see 60fps (or above 30fps), so there's no difference by human eyes. We actually see at about 20-30 "frames per second", somewhat less i think. So I hope this answers your question. The 60fps, would mostly be good for "bragging rights" is all. Also to add, The only real benefit of 60fps, is for editing. 60fps makes it easier to edit video, but if that's not an issue, I'd stay with 30fps (or technically 29.97fps) unless you were filming a huge 2hr full length movie or something, then 60fps is better for editing purposes & that's for 4k, & 1080p. Hope this info helps.....
I really like that idea you have about getting PAB wall by weight, and it would also be a good way for Lego to create a self serve where it prints a sticker with the cost and even has a self sealing bag you pour into.
On the camera work, I'm for the higher frame rate over resolution. 60fps is a lot more noticeable in quality over the higher resolution especially with phones where anything above 1080p isn't really noticed with the smaller screens from PC's. And if people still have concerns over data use, they can drop the setting down to 720p60 if needed. Higher refresh rates are generally better for faster paced, unkown pan's over slower/more intended pans like movies and TV shows.
PAB is a great ideal since it keep people coming in and they may leave with more than just those bricks. Encouraging a habit is good for companies. For brick by weight, I say they could just have a random lego that you pot luck for. If it is brick by weight then you could just pick the number of bricks.
I would definitely do 1080p/60fps. With the nature of how you move around the room quickly(which there’s nothing wrong with) the higher refresh rate is more noticeable than 4K. Love what you do, keep up the fantastic work!
Yeah +1 on forgetting the 4K…most people “watching” RUclips are doing so on mobile in 1080p and a lot of times less, so staying on that with the higher fps will give you the better “watching” parameters.
And of course I heard the opposite you get just a little bit more in the boxes but you can't make everybody happy LOL I would just be satisfied with a Lego store closer than 400 miles 640k away
I picked up 15 PAB Wall cups on my road trip to BWC23 & back. MOA & Schaumburg. Kind of disappointing. Nothing I was really excited about. It's a 10 hour round trip to the closest store. I wish I knew what was there ahead of time. But it would be picked over when I got there on Saturday. I'm not skipping work for the PAB Wall.
with your experience can I ask u 2 questions?? 1. Which pab walls are the best? can you rank them in terms of which store gets the pieces? The one in SA is so bad with their pab wall. I want to build a winter village so which store normally has white bricks and tree pieces 2. How do you sort out your lego pieces? by colour and type of pieces? Thank you so much. Love ur videos. From South Australia
Just placed my pick a brick order this morning. Wasn’t sure of the process so I wanted to see a video on it. Hoping this video is what I’m hoping for 🤞🏼
I wish the PaB wall at my local LEGO store was that good (I was there yesterday and they had 1 x 1 round plates with hole in white (which I was kind of tempted by) but not enough other parts to justify filling even a small cup. Did score a nice haul at the BaM bins though (they had a school holiday sale on 50% off which is why I was there looking at BaM)
Excellent haul! I agree about the amazing selection that has recently become available. The PAB gods have listened! I bought 18 cups the first day, 10 more cups yesterday, and then 3 today.
You should try putting something like the small aputure lights behind the new castle, rivendell and helmets Not strips that would me a bit to much, instead of it being to Dark behind them Keep up the super work. Making me want to restructure ones Old collection ;D
Awesome haul. Last time I was at my lego store in MN they also had those door frames but no doors or windows for them I still ended up with 6 of those frames because they were the only good part on my stores pab wall. As for the nugot parts, an accent color that's good with them would be dark blue. That's what I did my moc pet store in since I missed the 2011 pet store modular.
I think I would have done the same. Don't blame you not one bit bud! Congrats on the haul! Especially with those light post, disc, and transparent yellow heads!
I am very jelly of your PAB wall in your area. In my neck of the wood, the LEGO stores near me are not the best at keeping a good PAB wall, with practical parts.
I wish my PAB wall was like this. My LEGO store does not have a set date of switching it out, so I never know when to go. They say they just switch it out when something is running low.
Awesome haul! Instead of stacking those plates to make a brick I was thinking you should try making a building out of 1x2 plates with medium nougat as your main colour interspersed with some other accent colours. Could look like stone work maybe?
Do you recommend getting the large cups or small ones? Im just wondering if it's worth getting the bigger ones or smaller ones, you never know if they're secretly scamming you! (And I plan on going to a lego store soon)
I finally got to experience a PaB wall today for the first time! It was at the Christchurch store that just opened about ten days ago, looking forward to checking the wall out in the future 🙂
they sell LEGO by weight at the LEGO factory story at LEGOLAND. looks like the boxes are going to hold about 15% more in them, I expect a PAB price increase as a result
What about X 2 VIP coming up !! Looking forward to that haul !! LOL !! I can`t speak to 4K , not there yet , but 1080p has always looked great ! Later , Dreamer

Dude holy cow 🤯 Don’t blame yourself for going crazy, that’s the most stacked PAB wall I’ve ever seen!
Fr
Frankly, for me, it is a real pleasure to sort my pieces after a purchase on the wall.
My record is 34 pots and I spent five hours sorting everything.
I go home, I empty everything on the dining room table and I sort them out before I put them awaywith à good serie
I find it so pleasant that it relaxes me 😂😂😂😂
In France we have rock elements and I buy 5 large pots and 6 dark green foliage as well as 7 pots of nougat and white bricks

Your Lego store PAB wall is awesome! As for the sun, yes, more golf. Enjoy your weekend.
12:18 u can also use them to make door mats
I think that your Disney castle would fit just a little better in the back corner of the new shelf. Just a tip from someone who really loves to organize! You have such an awesome collection!!
Don’t worry Jordan that was an awesome PAB wall. I am glad you didn’t miss out on it.

Midevil era would be thatched roof. Shingles didnt come till about mid 1600s. Well popular. They do date back farther but not that far.
I really like that idea you have about getting PAB wall by weight, and it would also be a good way for Lego to create a self serve where it prints a sticker with the cost and even has a self sealing bag you pour into.
This is easily the best pab wall of all time
Yeah all 3 of the ones in my general area are easily 1/3rd the size of that one

Loving these videos. Thanks for sharing. I do adore PAB. I also love the sorting afterwards 😊
Other way around on the boxes. I tried the new ones out and you get small parts, you can get a smidge more than a cup in the new boxes.
saw all the PAB stuff had to try myself. 10 cups at the Lego store and 5 more at the Lego Discover Center.
The Disney Castle is looking so nice. They hit the color scheme on the hammer this time.
the green flowers would make a good texture in the hedges too
I would definitely do 1080p/60fps. With the nature of how you move around the room quickly(which there’s nothing wrong with) the higher refresh rate is more noticeable than 4K. Love what you do, keep up the fantastic work!

You could make a retro house and give it a V-style roof and use the shingle design for it
Bricksie loves the shelf aisle, lol
And of course I heard the opposite you get just a little bit more in the boxes but you can't make everybody happy LOL I would just be satisfied with a Lego store closer than 400 miles 640k away
The PAB wall was EPIC and the 30fps is just fine. Detail over frame rate for vlogging!

My store's PAB wall hasn't changed in over a year. It sucks. I even lugged parts home from Germany (I'm in US) in ziplock bags 😂
omg my lego sstore has none of that
I love your vids keep up man
Dude that is such a huge amount of good pieces. You are very lucky!!!
It is about 19.68 Canadian dollars for 100 grams, here in Denmark, in Legoland Billund 😊
Can you make a video of making these hedges?? These look so nice🤩 10:57
Awesome haul! Instead of stacking those plates to make a brick I was thinking you should try making a building out of 1x2 plates with medium nougat as your main colour interspersed with some other accent colours. Could look like stone work maybe?
I really look forward to your wall videos and the way you shot this video is so nice!! I really hope you keep this format
Maybe the shingles and yellow hay pieces could be combined for some sort of thatched roof effect.
never seen a variety of PAB bricks at a lego store here in europe, hopefully lego is changing up there regular pab brick varietys world wide
Do you recommend getting the large cups or small ones? Im just wondering if it's worth getting the bigger ones or smaller ones, you never know if they're secretly scamming you! (And I plan on going to a lego store soon)
Big cups
@@Bricksie Excellent.
I finally got to experience a PaB wall today for the first time! It was at the Christchurch store that just opened about ten days ago, looking forward to checking the wall out in the future 🙂
Whahaha you are going back for the grey arches😂
Would a grey baseplate work for the new Disney castle?
How much is a pab cup stuffed with Lego?
You can fit 301 trans clear minifigure posts in a large cup. PAB Wednesday's might become a problem 🤣
lol check out that tan line!!
they sell LEGO by weight at the LEGO factory story at LEGOLAND. looks like the boxes are going to hold about 15% more in them, I expect a PAB price increase as a result
That is the most stacked pab wall!!!!
I would of gotten loads of those light posts with the tops.😅 Also the white fence parts I like those especially for Roman architecture even Egypt.
You're so lucky. My local LEGO store's PAB wall is horrible. It's usually only 10-12 bins, if that...
What about X 2 VIP coming up !! Looking forward to that haul !! LOL !! I can`t speak to 4K , not there yet , but 1080p has always looked great !
Later , Dreamer
Epic haul! 💯 Enjoy
4k 30p is good. you only need to 60p if your slowing your footage down. I don think you need to slow your footage down plus it would create a little more work in post.
keep up that great work.
Your PAB wall is so much better than mine!
"No more Lego this month" - The biggest lie a Lego fan can tell themselves haha.
I need to get to a PAB wall soon for sure! 😂
How do you get the stuff on the top?
WHAT THE HECK
YOUR LEGO STORE IS CRAZY
awesome video jordan the pab haul was amazing lots of great pieces
This was such a fun video!
wow that wall was as good as winning the lottery. so many amazing pieces 😮😮😮😮😮😮
Wow, I'd go broke with that PAB wall.
You're lucky to have such a big PAB wall
What Lego stores that? Like what town and state?
Edmonton Alberta Canada
I can’t wait to go get my Disney Castle at my local Lego Store🏰💫
Since most of the helmets are Star Wars, I would put them on top of the lightsabers
love the vid
What is that wall called again?
Today as I drove past the same old pizza hut, that I drive past every day, I thought... We need to see a Lego pizza hut. 😬
no need for 60fps unless you plan on slowing down the footage 4k 30 fps is plenty lol,
I really want to go get a haul of brick but my nearest lego store is 2 hours away
That was a MAJOR PAB wall so don't lament getting too much!
Legend!!!!!!!
I would go for 1080p res. Who even has 4k screens? Except TV. I only watch your videos on phone, ipad, laptop. Not my main tv. And i guess this is for most people. But i can be wrong. You should do a poll and ask the viewers
And then there is me who gets nervous buying 3-4 cups that i spend much on them 😂😂
I gotta talk to my manager about upping our PAB wall… holy.
Fantastic video and commentary!Videographer here 👋🏼 Why would you need to film 4K 60fps, or 60fps in general for this kind of subject matter? 60fps is used to capture twice as many frames per second with an end goal of 2x slomo. The crispness of fixing your camera shake would hardly noticeable, but what will help is post processing shot stabilization, which DOES work better from a higher resolution like 4K
4K isn’t necessary unless you want to crop your shots in, which I haven’t noticed you doing much.
Seems to me if you want the most bang for your Buck on storage, quality, and functionality you should film 4K 30fps or 1080p 30fps, and you can also choose when you want to do both.
Let me know if you have any questions! I’m just getting into Lego, but have good experience with video and photo 🙂 where are you from?
Nice helmet collection you got back there
