shows a lot that you care enough to go back to your videos and update us, you goated fr 🙏 Also, i probably wouldn’t i have it on ps4 so no point to get it again imo, but its great for people who dont have one.
I love Gravity Rush. It definitely could be better in some places, but it's still an absolute gem that easily beats many current AAA titles, barring God of War, Elden Ring among others, in terms of pure fun and charm.
Funny how I literally found both the remaster of GR1 and and GR2 in a gamestop. Picked up both on a whim, and they ended up becomming one of my favorites.
Been a fan since 2013 and still play the first and second game every now and then I really wish for a gr3😭😭 (ppl need to know this terrifyingly underrated game!!)
It's weird seeing this series on many backlogs since I bought a Vita and a PS4 mostly for this series. I totally agree with Gravity Rush's story being characters > plot. The story; while I did enjoy in the moment, did get messy towards the end. I feel like the story was better at setting things up than concluding them, and there's weird confusing introductions that is the creators. What I did like is the characters and the initial intrigue. Kat and her interactions with the cast are a joy. She's one of my fav game protags. Sometimes I wonder how it'd turn out if it did release on PS3.
This review was really impressive. Clear, concise, points. Incredibly clean audio. High quality captures of your own gameplay. Some great editing, especially the custom stingers for transitions. Admittedly, this game's sitting in my own backlog so I skipped the story spoilers and I apologise for the impact on your watch time metrics but yeah, I definitely need to watch more of your stuff!
Nothing to apologize for! I really appreciate the kind words and I'm actually glad the format allowed you to enjoy the video without spoiling the story for yourself. Really hope you enjoy the game if you get around to it!
Just catched up with the remaster because it was on my radar for a while and had a week of pure fun. You put in words exactly how I feel about the game. Probably for me Gravity Rush 1 & 2 is Japan’s studio best gems in it’s unfortunately finished legacy. This franchise deserves better care but the trends in the gaming industry pursuing foto realism makes great games like this to be overshadowed. Finished all trophies today and started second title right away and was shocked by the changes they did so far when they weren’t restricted by hardware limitations. We need more games like this.
Gravity Rush was a fantastic; a tad frustrating to get to grips with at first (you start off a little too weak in abilities and stamina) but once you get into the flow of it all it becomes a unique and breathtaking experience. Splendid review here; I particularly like how you made many mentions of differences between the original PS Vita version and PS4 Remastered Version. Heck, you even mentioned the minor things like the Trophies. The jokes sprinkled throughout were also pleasing. Kat's a great protagonist and the world they built here was wonderfully distinct, so it's a real shame that the series is unlikely to continue after the 2nd game (Gravity Rush Remastered happened to be the first game I got for the PS4, an it's announcement is what stopped me from getting a PS Vita as I had initially planned).
I think the Ps Vita version has charm to it over the console version. Something about playing on that amazing OLED screen and the intimacy of a handheld is a great combo for Gravity Rush. I think the comic style cut scenes fit a portable experience better too.
Thank you! I really enjoyed this one, my only regret is that I haven't gotten a chance to review the second one yet, but I'm gonna do everything I can to review Gravity Rush 2 by the end of the year!
I picked up the physical Remaster a few years ago, and when I got a PS5 there were no PS5 games at the store. Then I saw Gravity Rush 2, which I didn't even know existed, and it became my PS5 launch title. Hope you enjoy it.
Is 2 as good? I found this review after purchasing the PS4 remaster (originally bought it for Vita but my thumbs just couldn't hand the layout/back pad), but I've fucking really enjoyed playing this for the past week. Noticed there is a sequel that shows some more of Raven's backstory, which sounds great; just wondering why this series is so slept on. Was 2 not so fun or just a result of being a weird PS title
subscribing 2 see the 2 review bcs it might suprise you (and yea, that game is a bit bigger but surely better) :D and for nice video editing and shit, probably will be seeing other videos o/
When one of my friends said castle crashers on ps3 was the best game ever to come out for playstation it made me genuinely sad that he thinks that without ever playing a gravity rush game. Im not saying its the best game to be on playstation platforms im just saying this game just like the title says is a forgotten gem.
The way you pronounce S'es as Zs is driving me nuts! (don't take that seriously). Also, I've been enjoying that Sonic podcast... thing. Nice job getting on there!
Loved this review you had the same thoughts I had, just wish it wouldn't take so long for one to organize their thoughts and present them in a neat fashion people can understand, but I guess that's just the level of abstract complexity one's trying to explain haha!
1st off, the PS5 remake is not a waste for TLOU. The remastered was a** imo and could not finish it, until the remake. Now I wonder if this reviewed og/ remaster is worth my money
There's talks of a possible PC ports of the Gravity Rush titles. Would you get those ports if they came out?

100% gravity rush is one of my favourite games and having on pc would make it so those who don't have it on playstation can give it a try
Would get both day 1!
I've got the platinum trophy in Gravity Rush 1 at least 4 times now, why would I miss out on a chance to do it again on PC?
Instand buy!
RIP Japan studios
A studio with an outstanding legacy that truly deserved better.
Agreed
A least the studio that's making the Astro Bot games is an offshoot of Japan Studio.
I love Gravity Rush. It definitely could be better in some places, but it's still an absolute gem that easily beats many current AAA titles, barring God of War, Elden Ring among others, in terms of pure fun and charm.
Definitly one of my all time favourite games. Also worth mentioning, it's a pretty fun game to speedrun.
Funny how I literally found both the remaster of GR1 and and GR2 in a gamestop. Picked up both on a whim, and they ended up becomming one of my favorites.
I don't remember this game, but the world looks very cool.
I wish they did more with the OVA thing and turned it into a actual anime
You and me both, I was watching the OVAs the other day and spent the entire time wishing it was a full series
Been a fan since 2013 and still play the first and second game every now and then

The gravity rush games are masterpieces

This video describes what I love about this game quite well. Thanks for making it. :)
Love these games, GR1 is a fun platinum too. Challenging but not super frustrating.
This is one of the greatest most unique games I’ve ever played I love them both and apparently they want to make more and I will buy them
kinda wild to think that it's so expensive in the usa, like I got my german copy for ~30€ on ebay lol
Late to the show but there was a sequel released in 2017. Also apparently there's a movie in the works now.
This is a really well-constructed review.
Thank you! I really enjoyed this one, my only regret is that I haven't gotten a chance to review the second one yet, but I'm gonna do everything I can to review Gravity Rush 2 by the end of the year!
@@Wayneisboss I just finished the first one today. Gonna play the second one too. someday. Maybe in time when the review comes out xD
"I'm not gonna make you guys wait for too long"

Great game and characters.
Definitely could have used more story.
Gravity Rush!
Just picked up a physical copy for $20. It's a Japanese copy, but still works.
I picked up the physical Remaster a few years ago, and when I got a PS5 there were no PS5 games at the store. Then I saw Gravity Rush 2, which I didn't even know existed, and it became my PS5 launch title. Hope you enjoy it.
Me too! I liked what I played so far for early footage recording, I guess we'll see how it goes!

Yow where is the Gravity Rush 2 review?
Where is the gravity rush 2 video?? I hope it'll appear some time

Started recording footage of the second game and really enjoying it so far! Hoping it won't take me too long to get the video out!
Your video quality is fantastic! Subscribed and can't wait to see more!
Thanks so much! I always put a ton of work into my videos so it helps to see positive feedback like this!

Luckly I got mine for £37.88, sucks how much it is in the US.
It is missing story. Play gravity rush 2.
He has returned
Damn, this is a pretty good video.
Thanks you! Put a ton of work into this one!
You should review x men origins the video game it was actually pretty good

hi
great video def worth the wait i assure you
Game apologist sent me 😊
I remember playing the demo on the PSVita and being turned off by the motion controls
There's certainly a lot more to enjoy about the game, and the enhanced controller support for the console release really helps
@@Wayneisboss Thanks to your video I might check it out at some point. Really great video Wayne , keep it up.
1st off, the PS5 remake is not a waste for TLOU. The remastered was a** imo and could not finish it, until the remake.
