    The watch looks perfect on your wrist! Would you mind sharing your wrist size? I've also been thinking of getting either the two tone or the stainless steel variant in a few months but can't seem to decide on size just yet!

      Thank you so much, my wrist is 5.5 inches, I’d highly recommend going with the two tone, it’s more versatile and the gold imo really makes it feel more luxury. I believe the price difference is justified as well. Hope that helps! Good luck with your purchase

    Cartier should make it water resistant to 10 bar. I’d put a rubber strap on it like an aquanaut.

    • @WatchesCanBeFun
      @WatchesCanBeFun  2 месяца назад +1

      I’ve thought the exact same thing. If the santos de Cartier can be 10 bar without a screw down crown why can’t the santos Dumont be 10 bar. Also Patek new to make the 34mm aquanaut in automatic. Over $20,000 for a quartz is ridiculous(except maybe the FP Journe…)

    What made you go for the Rosé Bezel instead of the full Rosé? Torn between the two but price factor surely...

    • @WatchesCanBeFun
      @WatchesCanBeFun  5 месяцев назад

      Price is definitely a factor.
      My argument for the two tone: the steel case makes the rose gold bezel pop. The contrast is what sells it to me. Plus Cartier is known for two tone. It’s just classic.
      Either way you’ll get an amazing watch for sure, hope that helps!

    Is there a S, M and L version of the dumont?

    • @WatchesCanBeFun
      @WatchesCanBeFun  5 месяцев назад +1

      There is a Small which is the one I have. A Large that would fit most bigger wrist. And an Extra Large that has a mechanical movement(the smaller two have quartz). As always I recommend trying then on to see what size fits best. Hope that helps.

    Is there a two tone YG for the small? I always see Rose Gold and Stainless Steel only available.

    • @WatchesCanBeFun
      @WatchesCanBeFun  5 месяцев назад

      The watch I have is the small two tone with rose gold. From what I know, the Santos De Cartier comes in YG and Rose Gold. But the Cartier Dumont only comes in steel and Rose Gold.

      @@WatchesCanBeFun thanks for the quick response. I will just go back to the AD and try the small RG.

      @@WatchesCanBeFun I will, I really prefer the Dumont vs the Santos. It's more dressy and close the OG watch.

      @@kta_0187 I totally agree, I like how the Dumont keeps the square bezel and the case is thinner. Very well done modern interpretation.

    Why did you prefer the two tone over the steel?

    • @WatchesCanBeFun
      @WatchesCanBeFun  6 месяцев назад +2

      It was purchase by my mom and I and we both agreed the gold looked good. Specifically the stainless steel case makes the gold bezel pop so well. I also prefer cartiers rose gold over their yellow gold. The yellow gold looks a little “brassy”
      hope that helps :)

      @stoic900 6 месяцев назад +1

      It does. I'm really conflicted by the choice been the steel and two tone for myself. I have a steel Azzuro blue DJ41, a black dial titanium Aerospace EVO, I'm thinking it makes sense to add a new case shape, dial, size and material by getting the two-toned santos @@WatchesCanBeFun

      I had to look both of those watches up but wow! that would be a killer three watch collection. Definitely try the santos on in person since I noticed you wear more than 40mm. I think the large model would look excellent on your wrist.
