Presonus has partnered with Bitwig about the open source file format!! Yes!!!
The fact that you still cannot change the assignment of mouse buttons for panning and zooming is simply ridiculous! This setting should be in the very first version!
Now if they can only get the MPE right. Studio One 6.5 introduces a bug wherein the pitch once "glided" reverts back to the original pitch once the note is released. It would also be nice if the fifth dimension of MPE, lift, was recognized.
Is the score editor new in 6.5 or was it part of previous versions? I'm currently running Artist version 5
It was launched with Studio One 5 Professional. We just made it better, and will keep doing so!
Thanks for the info. Do we have the ability to use Izotope RX seamlessly in Studio One yet? Whether through ARA or some other means?
ARA was invented by PreSonus in partnership with Celemony. There are a lot of ARA compatible plugins out there. v6.5 brings ARA to the Project Page for mastering engineers for the first time. I have older RX plugins, but I do not use them in ARA mode.

It depends upon whether RX supports ARA or not. If it does, then it can be used in ARA in both the Song and Project Pages. ARA integration into the Project Page is new with v.6.5.
umm i really like the new UI elements in the plugins. for example in the surround delay they keep the old ui for the bottom half but that middle right portion is very clean imo. same thing wiht open air changes. the old stuff on the bottom of open air looks so dated compared to that middle right section.
Anyone have any clue on the difficulty of other companies adapting the Daw Project Files?
The SDK for it is freely available, so developers are free to get it and then adopt it for their DAW. Hopefully uptake will be good. Especially as what is supported in DAWProject is expanded.
I am guessing that the VAST Majority of current users are unable to access the ATMOS features since hardly anyone is using it. I see all the effort of implementing ATMOS in Studio One 6 at this very moment a bit of a head-scratcher. But what do I know? I am just an audio engineer who produces, edits, mixes, and masters music.
Actually, some streaming services such as Apple Music and soon, iTunes and Spotify are moving to Atmos, so for users who upload to such services, it is good to have such features. And, for customers who actually work in major labels and for Film and TV, Atmos delivery is essential. So PreSonus is able to now serve both sets of customers.
They didn’t make studio one just for your needs.

Sorry but how this new file format imports native plugins from bigwig ? ….
I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that won’t happen, only reaper allows that and even then you can’t use them all in another daw, only Certain plugins

For my work flow would be amazing if I could import guitar pro files to Studio One. But I guess will never happen, because of legal rights...

Just don't create a song using the Dolby Atmos setting. It's an option. You don't HAVE to use Atmos.
I fear there is going to be a mountain of secondhand monitors on eBay in a few years time when everyone wakes up and realises that Atmos was a futile industry led bandwagon.
You are entitled to your opinion, but I totally disagree with you. And I am not a big Atmos fan.
There’s a ton of ppl mixing at home and yet there’s not a ton of professional mixing engineers flooding the industry, man chill out.
