    Ahhh everything is back to normal for my favorite band of outcasts! Drunkenly stumbling their way through the Warhammer world and somehow surviving. Love it! Cant wait for the next. 💪😄

      Yep, this felt much more like the Warhammer Quest I’m used to.

    I'm impressed by how deadly those giant Rats can be when they hit.

    • @dmgashbad4908
      @dmgashbad4908  10 месяцев назад +1

      Not only that, I think they could have been more deadly. Typically when I run the monster turn I move all the monsters and then do their attacks. That works fine for almost all the monsters, but I realized after the game that because the giant rats sometimes kill themselves with their attack, rats behind them could then move up into the empty space and then attack as well. That could have meant Hundert could have gotten his head bit off in that corridor by two waves of rats, for example.

    Getting thrown out of town really was the best result for Naughtiness.🤣🤣🤣
    Man, with this game, the dungeon is only HALF the battle.

      It says something about the game (and the Louts) when I roll a double one and think, “Oh, just getting tossed out of town. That’s a relief.”

    Excellent Adventure, Epic Objective room battle. Scary travelling to Town, the exact same things happen to me. Running through a lvl3 Catacombs of Terror myself tomorrow.

      Awesome! I would love to try out some Catacombs, but I just don’t have enough undead painted up. Seems like the random events are even more brutal in that book.

    I see the Louts wisely resisted the lure of the dreaded secret door! Great gaming!

      Yeah, I went and chose an objective room without an instant-kill fire chasm and everything. Maybe next time.

    Watched all your WHQ playthroughs and looking forward to more. I also watched your NBC Halloween display video. Great job building the props. I especially like the band and mayor. I've seen displays where people built the fountain, Oogie, and the mayor, but I've never seen one with the band.

      Thanks. Yeah, the band was one of the first things I made. I had engineered them all to be animated, but I ran out of time and never went back to get the motors set up.

    Using lucky charms to modify the portcullis events is a great (and viable) strategy; our group had several failed quests from that damn event. We used to remove the cave in card event as well as WHQ is deadly enough (esp. random events).

    • @dmgashbad4908
      @dmgashbad4908  10 месяцев назад +1

      Oh yeah. Took out the Cave In as well. Just can’t figure out how that card wouldn’t kill the party most of the time. And as for the portcullis, I really should have remembered to buy lock picks at the Dwarf Guild Hall.

    Ahh, good adventure! I really do wish I had that old WHQ set, the new ones are nice too but the style of the old box set is just impossible to beat. Thanks for putting this out here, I'm already looking forward to the next adventure.

      Thanks. Yeah, the new sets were tempting, but not quite enough to lure me away. Maybe if I stumble upon a Blackstone Fortress some day…

    One heck of a quest room, great seeing Boneripper (or at least what's left of him!). Time freeze was clutch; even better if you can get the spell.

      @@dmgashbad4908 Might be time warp; a couple of our guys used to start singing "time warp" when casted (that would be a good death-song for that other random event ability).

    dunno if it's something to add, maybe you can add one minor addition to the next Warhammer Quest video you do? namely, displaying your Wizard's current power. as a sorta [Rolled Power(Stored Power)] kindof format of sorts.

    • @dmgashbad4908
      @dmgashbad4908  8 месяцев назад

      I’ll look into it, but the power fluctuates a lot more than most other stats, so it would be a lot of extra editing. I’d probably count down the number of rerolls available before trying to track the power every round.

    A suggestion for when you have to roll for a level you don't have many miniature painted for, you should have it be the closest monster you have a miniature for. Don't know what models are at level 4 and which you have, but for example, if you would roll a Treeman that you don't have, you just take a troll if it is the closest monster on the chart that you do have.

    • @dmgashbad4908
      @dmgashbad4908  10 месяцев назад

      That’s a possibility, though it might make some monsters more likely than others. It just seems like after all my painting I have a lot of monsters on the list, but then when I go to roll it turns out that’s definitely not the case.

    • @gamerman782
      @gamerman782 10 месяцев назад

      I meant it like you roll, and if you don't have the monster, you move to the closest on the list no matter if it's stronger or weaker @@dmgashbad4908

    Whats up with the base sizes in WQ? Do ogres and minotaurs only take up 1 square?

    • @dmgashbad4908
      @dmgashbad4908  7 месяцев назад

      The Minotaurs in the Warhammer Quest box came on smaller irregular stands, and were meant to take up only one square. I’ve tried to keep to this and have any monster on a 40x40 base occupy one square, which often looks weird. Except my gigantic spiders, who probably should be on 50x50 bases, and so I often have them take up four squares. In short, it’s all very haphazard and arbitrary, like a lot of the things I do.
