Is a good reason to set the judgement aside a defendant not being able to respond to the money claim online form?

A social worker used a CCJ to actually tell lies about myself, without even knowing me, & realising the horrors that I had been assaulted. She put down that it is ordered, etc. Now this has since been discontinued. I suffered some abuse from her & harrasment. How do I address this. Does this become a public record? Do I need to put in my defence now since I was lied about, & are all those details kept on record? thanks. Lisa

My understanding is that the Court Fee is £275 to set-aside a default judgment. What happens if the claim itself is less than £275 (incl costs) - how does the defendant recoup the £275 court fee?

Thank you for the question. Unfortunately we don't provide legal advice on this channel - we just share advocacy tips. It may be worth speaking to a solicitor about this issue to obtain some legal advice.

@@speedmooting What would be your advocacy tips in addressing the judge/court with a view of reclaiming the court fee (of £275)?
