Just like Brodie, so articulate and smooth in his speech and he gets the no talking gimmick.
I’m SOOO pissed at VNCE😡😡🤬
Just like Harper, probably didnt sound southern enough
Curtis Brock honestly
Well with Daniel Bryan he talked more
Wwe logic
Once Rowan can't throw people around anymore he should be a writer. His ideas were 1000x better than a fake spider in a cage!
@SJW'S Ruin Everything! Yeah exactly the dumb spider it's self had better ideas
@@benvalenti7679 you stupid fuck, stop bringing politics into this, politics has nothing to do with it you fucking moron
ForeverTired2000 are you stupid or blind or maybe you can’t read??? No one said anything about politics...
@@SoulSaber6 the guy isn't smart enough to realise the first part of the message is actually the name of the person he's responding to.
@@extremeking425 Yeah, dude was just quoting the name of the commenter he was replying to lol - It's the other guy you wanna yell at, I think. That being said, in reality just about everything is political - it's impossible to avoid. Also, only reactionary incels ramble about "SJW"s...
Erick Rowan in my opinion was SEVERELY underrated. A big man who could brawl, but also had some agility to him, WWE could have done so much more with him, and at least made him a big mid-card star. WWE's loss in Rowan will certainly be someone else's gain for sure.
While I don't disagree, always my biggest concern with Rowan was that he was paired with Brodie Lee, who was simply just better in every conceivable way. Rowan was larger, sure...but Brodie had all of the skill on the mic, in the ring, and even a better look in my opinion. I like Rowan, it just sucks he was paired with a better version of himself for a majority of his career.
A lot of great wrestlers wwe could of pushed but didn't reason why I stopped watching wwe and then some
Yeah, Vince is losing it little by little. I say letting the cage go too long was bad. Letting Erick Rowan go was a bad move too! Just me....
@Zamza They can be winners else where
Read yesterday that he's signed for AEW, hopefully if true he doesn't immediately join the Dark Order he can be used well as a big man
After the unveiling of the spider, Mojo Rawley should have tweeted “It wasn’t a spider that I saw in the cage...”
This honestly shows how scared WWE is when it comes to taking risks with stories and letting any but a select few wrestlers really be stars.
It’s honestly incredible the amount of times WWE have had gold in their hands and thrown it in the trash with terrible decision making.
STAAAAARDUST
JimartyMcfly weird how many times they’ve made chicken shit into Gold to!!! NO MATTER WHAT YOU OR ANYONE ELSE THINKS VINCE IS A BILLIONAIRE FOR A REASON HES A FUCKING MENTAL GENIUS NOT EVERY GENIUS SEES EVERYTHING SOMETIMES GUYS SLIP BY🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
I love that he put so much thought into where the story could have gone. I wish I could have seen what it would have looked like if they listened to the ideas he pitched.
I love your videos! Yes! He puts effort, but a lot of people in WWE do that only to be shut down. It had a lot of potential and a lot of let down
@@MMK77344 Thanks for watching, man!
His idea for the cage would have gotten OVER in front of a live audience- at least for the first reveal.
The man has the coolest T-shirt’s. And tattoos
Alestorm!
He legit looks like he could've been the third member of the "Viking Raiders" 😆
@@gator9339 you mean the Leader
@@Dalton420 nah
He reps some amazing bands. Alestorm is top notch
"So I went to Heyman, and..." was anyone else's response "well, there's your problem", after the Good Brothers thing?
Like how Bray has "his" decapitated head when he comes out now, I thought inside Erick's cage should've been Luke Harper's head in the same way - given that Harper had left before the reveal.
Dude that's genius! Like a Al Snow-Undertaker gimmick.
Probably a good thing they didn't do that considering Brodie passed months after that angle
Why do people dislike this! These are 10/10 interviews.
And they dont even listen to them completely! I'm usually in the first ones to watch live. It's been out 5 minutes, interview is 45 minutes ans already 2 dislikes. Those people need happiness in their lives man.
G-A Rawr True
he should go AEW or Impact wrestling..hes so potential man..
Calem MrNazreenn Isn’t he still in AEW?
The problem Erick Rowan has is exactly the same as the issues Bray and Luke also faced. They are really smart, really creative, and really in touch with their artistic development... The only problem is, Vince McMahon never wanted to do anything with them.
Rowan's pitches were so interesting. Makes me sad & angry that we didnt get to see them. The character building is what WWE needs. Delve more into who the characters are just like Rowan's pitches explored.
People say that wrestling hasn't been the same since the attitude era. I think this is why. Imagine if every wrestler was just given some time and creative freedom like they were given back then. Wrestling as a whole could be so much better and grow so much more!
@Caffeinated Piper him and brodie could have a great program!
@@tj1ification No, WWE* hasn't been the same. WWE isn't the only company, wrestling elsewhere has been thriving.
@@Tcrror that's what I was implying.
Find it kinda funny how Kane is probably one of the most fleshed out characters in the company’s history
WWE should fire their creative team instead of the talent that they waste.
It’s a business so people are gonna get wasted
No Not the creative Team. They're actully real good. The Problem is Vince.
@@wasg3ht774 no dude. No. It's all of them
Gage23 they don’t get time to book
GOLDBOND vs BALLS Yeah BOOKING you idiot
rowan was a deep character wwe creative doesn't have the skill or talent to realize it
Rowans ideas were fucking brilliant I would of loved to see this stuff such a fucking shame
Erick sounds very kind and speaks well about about his craft. Hopefully he can come over to AEW at some point.
Chris: What was supposed to be in the cage???
Erik: ...A rat.
Chris:...a rat?
Erik: Yes, like a sewer rat....
Chris: ...ok.
lmao
But remember Black Reign or Dustin Rhodes did that with Misty in TNA
Rowan is brilliant and has clear ability to turn a turd into gold. Hope wherever he turns up he's given some genuine creative input and control over what he does. Glad he's free now.
Loved hearing Rowan talk about those stories and ideas, he's really well spoken! Can't wait for the full interview!
“Fear monger” Erick Rowan. I would’ve loved that so much. That would’ve been fiend level hype
Full interview is gonna be released on my bday tomorrow thats gonna be a great bday present to me. Thanks chris
Happy birthday!
@@ChrisVanVliet appreciate it. I really started watching ur videos last year. I really loved the one with chris benoit's son.
Chris seems like hes a genuinely nice guy
we'll see him on aew dynamite shortly.
Everybody look up the band on his shirt "Alestorm" they are great.

Man all the ideas he had sound so cool, I wish he would've done it that way
Oh My Gosh!! His original pitch was incredible!!!!
Damn- those ideas which he had attempted to pitch sounded absolutely brilliant versus the end result to what we got.
Just goes to show that alike Brodie Lee is given the time for these guys to work with creative they could have been amazing.
Damn Rowan has such more of a creative mind than the entire WWE Creative Team as a whole. Significantly better than that stupid spider.
Rowan's idea would have been so awesome. Could've shot him into the main event picture. Reminds me of an angle Kane or the Undertaker would have back in the day.
That idea he had for the cage my eyes opened up crazy. That sounds so wild. I love that
Would love to see him back with the fiend and Braun just makes sense.
After listening to this
I can say that Rowan is a creative person
SERIOUSLY I gotta whole new respect for Eric Rowan he's seems like a great dude hope he gets his shot at Impact or AEW.
I used to think Heyman was a wrestling genius (he can still cut a great promo) but after hearing how he stabbed Gallows & Anderson in the back and wouldn't consider Rowans ideas because they were already making the spider makes me lose mountains of faith in him.
Rowans 1st idea was great because it would've matched the hype. And his 2nd idea was great because it's putting over the faces.
Heyman has the reputation of being a lier but he is a wrestling genius but you still have to remember WWE could have the smartest wrestling minds ever but Vince is still in charge. Vince replaced Eric bischoff & Paul Heyman as heads of raw & SD with his yes man Bruce Prichard & rumored to be Shane.
God that was so stupid. A robotic spider scared men who were 6ft tall and over 200 pounds 🤦♂️
MUCH smaller, REAL spiders scare men of the same size daily!
John Willis But it was a FAKE spider
Zamza MECHANICAL
That's the second wave of the 1-2 punch, right? First, you have a clearly mechanical spider, and then you have to sell for it.

Oooh Rowan finally gets to speak lol
Yeah man ill be there
Ok, so now that I read this I feel like a jackass for downing the interview length. Got it, wait until I read everything next time 🙄😂😂
interview john cena next and ask him why he had an agenda against alex riley, john is a nice guy he would for sure answer that question
@GOLDBOND vs BALLS Yah I mean, Vince and creative have jack shit to do with what goes on in the WWE, right?
Fuck off, troll.
Im so looking forward to seeing the whole interview! Rowan is really a cool ass dude. Great taste in music also! 🤘
For those who havnt heard other wrestlers speak about rowan..my impression is that he is an incredibly nice, genuine, polite humble guy...lets all hope he has a gr8 future ahead of him
I had the honor of doing Ericks first interview after his release and couldn't believe how cool he was, Hope to see him move onto other things and show his creative side.
Honestly one of the most underrated talent in wwe
He Talks!!!, 7 years i have watched him in WWE never saw him talk
erick rowan seems like a cool kind guy to spend time with
The little lady idea was amazing, but man his way to try to make the mechanical spider to work is also fantastic. Going full It or Scarecrow or anything like that, amazing
Erick Rowan is BRIILIANT! Hearing his ideas and knowing none got green-lighted goes to show you how creatively handcuffed you are with WWE unless you're one of the top chosen ones under Vince's eyes. Anyone lower than those top few Vince selected rarely get anything approved. Erick Rowan will be truly better off and wherever he goes, I'll be tuning in for sure.
I am really hoping that AEW sign Rowan and Brodie Lee reveals him as a member of the Dark Order that would be awesome and bring another big hitter to the Dark Order
Tune in tonight friend
@@Dave_ja_vu i can't i will be to busy watching NXT TakeOver XXX but i record every AEW so i will watch it back later
@@bunyan4.20 I have a feeling he's showing up tonight
Or he could be a baby face and cost brodie lee his match against cody. The storylines are infinite I really hope AEW signs him.
Erick Rowan kept being given bad hands by WWE. His babyface turn turned him into a jobber (& the intelligent monster character he portrayed was apparently meant for Luke Harper), he was jobbed out to the Rock at Mania in 6 seconds, his Bludgeon Brothers repackaging was initially interesting but ultimately uneventful, & of course the cage. His Wyatt Family incarnation & his run as the New Daniel Bryan's quote-unquote "equal" were both great, at least.
This guy had so many great ideas like wtf was creative doing whilst not listening to him
Did you know? Erick Rowan was genius & smart in rl. His IQ 143
That Ma Petite angle would have been the best storyline they've had since the Attitude Era. Hell if done right it could have been the best storyline in WWE history. Jyoti Amge is an amazing actress who creates utter amazement on screen.
But then again WWE has been absolutely awful when it comes to story telling for years. Not sure where they lost it, but lost it they did. There was a time when WWE storylines were captivating to the point where Monday just couldn't come fast enough and you wouldn't dare miss an episode. Professional wrestling always reminded me of a soap opera for men. It was very much like the soaps our wives or mothers would watch every day. And they wouldn't even consider missing a single minute. They'd be glued to the set 5 days a week, constantly talking, or arguing with their friends over this storyline, or that storyline. What was happening between this couple or that couple, who was having an affair with who, who shot so and so, ect....
Well professional wrestling have men the same entertainment outlet that was literally the same thing, with allot of violence and fancy costumes. But somewhere along the way they lost track of what professional wrestling was really supposed to be. Now instead of a soap opera where we follow every aspect of every story, and we don't dare miss a minute. Now it's more like a game show. It's fun to watch if nothing else is on. But there is no story to get emotionally attached to, and if you miss an episode or 3 it's no big deal because we're no longer emotionally invested in what's going on. Hell even the days of cops clowns and mummy's were more captivating than what we have today. Back then even though the characters may have been ridiculous the story telling was so good it made the ridiculous seem real and we got emotionally invested in what they were doing.
If I had to pick a time where I think it fell apart I'd say when they really started pushing "sports entertainment". But where it fell apart is when they put too much emphasis on sports and forgot about entertainment. They need to change the phrase to "athletic entertainment" because pro wrestling isn't a sport, it's not governed by any of the sporting regulations. Not to say that the performers aren't athletic as fuck. They're probably more athletic than 98% of professional sports athletes. But their athletics aren't meant to win games, they're meant to entertain. Athletics coupled with acting and story telling, but when the stories they're given are hollow pieces of shit there is not much they can do with it. The phrase should be "Athletic Entertainment" and the company needs to invest heavily into the entertainment side of things. The wrestlers today are athletic AF. but the company needs to start shit canning writers instead of wrestlers. Wrestlers can write their own stories if you allow them the creative freedom to do so. Case in point, who wrote the script for Savage VS Steamboat at Wrestlemainia 3. Hint it wasn't some writers, Savage and Steamboat wrote that whole match out move for move, and it's regarded as one of if not the best Wrestlemainia matches of all time.
I saw a documentary about that little woman, and his idea to use her would have been AMAZING!
i gotta say. I was really invested in just listening to his creative ideas. Imagine the impact if it had been really taken up and used.
I've never heard Rowan talk omg I definitely didn't expect him to speak like he did
Im happy 2020 has been good to ya for wrestling interviews. I remember back in 2018 when you were wanting to do more wrestling interviews over movies interviews. Thank you for helping get tbrough 2020 good sir.
No way. You may have hit gold with this interview! Much deserved brother!
I was already a fan of this man but seeing and hearing him as himself makes me like him that much more and I might of actually started watching WWE again if they had went with the pennywise gimmick
I wasnt really a fan of him until this interview
Chris Van Beard Vs. Erick Redbeard
BOOK IT
Are you trying to get me killed?!
@@ChrisVanVliet you took those chops from spears and breeze well enough. You got this 👍👀
It’s amazing how they couldn’t find a spot for Rowan in a three hour show.
Grossly underrated wrestler. Rowan should be a bigger deal.
Wow pretty interesting. Also realized Rowan has the same exact Freddy Krueger pinball machine I have which is awesome! I love this dude!
The way he describes it if they went in that direction it could’ve been really interesting
The ideas he had would of definitely worked especially bringing in the actress from American horror story. Reason being was because the shock factor would have been great especially since many of us we’re trying to figure out what was in the cage the last thing we would’ve thought about was a little woman in the cage who is being protected by Rowan from this cruel world that we live in that would of been 🔥🔥🔥 ahh I love wwe But I do think they need to listen to the wrestlers a lot more
I am really looking forward for the whole interview. This little teaser was great :)
Erick I hope we all see you back in the ring really soon, we miss you man
Awesome Nightmare on Elm Street pinball machine in the background of Rowan’a room!
What Erick said at the end of this sounds to me like they gave that idea to "The Fiend"🤔🤔🤔
Rowan's theme is so good! Very underrated!
I won't lie the whole Tiny woman idea is actually pretty good if told right
Wow, these ideas were awesome. Super disappointed they didn’t come to fruition
Erick Rowan 🔥
Man......He's a creative genius.....
its time for that danhausen interview! love that danhausen!
You’re on fire Chris! 🔥
Thanks for being here! 🔥
Thanks for being here! 🔥
He had the best theme during the cage run
hey Chris do you have any advice for a young interviewer trying to get a start?
Take every opportunity that you can, and if there aren't any opportunities, start to create them for yourselves. Also make sure to listen more than you speak.
You've got this! Best of luck!
@@ChrisVanVliet omg thank you so much! I'll try my best! 🖤
Erick Rowan is smart and has alot of creativity
Definitely would've been a great story line if they went with Rowan
I have learned that Vince won't let anyone have their own ideas. For Goodness sake Rock did it and look what happened.
His idea about the cage is fantastic
Its very curious
It is such a damn shame when you listen to someone who genuinely wants to tell a compelling story and just gets their wings cut off. This is why I enjoy watching wrestling because people like him have a story to tell inside the squared circle but unfortunately stories are a lost art nowadays.
Am I the only one that noticed his alestorm shirt... 🤣🤣🤣 I love those guys!!!
I want to apologize to Mr. Rowan because I thought he's just another "ME BIG ME SMASH" type of wrestler. Turns out he's very smart and knows what's good for him. I wish you the best sir and I hope I see you back in action sooner.
My goodness! I would love these storylines hes pitching!
holy shit his idea are actually really good and extremely creative
Can you imagine pitching a good idea like those to just hear Vince scoff you off Nope buddy we’re going with a spider. I’d be like okay from now on I’m just collecting a paycheck and going home I’m done with this
Wow. His ideas are pure fire. This man needs to have creative control.
Glad to see he is doing alright
Erik Rowan is so underrated and intelligent
Love the Alestorm tee... Big pop from Scotland for that one 👍
His idea was awesome!!
My God. His ideas are actually GOOD. Why is WWE so opposed to doing something relevant?
It's like someone said ,what HHH told him about John Cena being the Last big star in the company, maybe they want to keep it that , not letting a superstar get to big to a point they can do what a CM punk did ,high jack the crowd and run to the opp
Brock Lesnar is the real last Superstar and he could give two shits about pro wrestling🤣
Erick Rowan looks like he plays the hardest most heavy guitar rifts and solos ever created by a wrestler.
Rowan’s idea of the wrestlers worst fear is one of the best and most original ideas I’ve heard. He could’ve been up there with Jake the snake, had they allowed that to happen. Really, a genius swerve on the whole idea.
The fact of the matter is they didn't care about Rowan's character. They just put him on TV because they just wanted to fill up the 3 hours, not because they wanted to enhance his character, which is very unfair because he actually had a really good idea.
Rowan is honestly underrated talent, id like em to go to AEW and ether jion the dark order or maybe build a story of him against Brodie Lee.
I feel like they screwed him over. Hope he goes to Aew and joins the dark order.
I'd like to see him go there and feud with Brodie or Archer.
Dude is a hard worker and deserves better.
I can’t wait for the full interview
Erick Rowan is truly underrated💯 AEW'S "DARK ORDER" WILL BE GREAT FOR HIM👍👍👍
This mans shirt game is top shelf
His idea was much better than what WWE went with, even the rat idea would of been better - hell practically anything would of been better. Loved Erick Rowan in the WWE, such wasted potential, he's a great wrestler with a great look and seems like a great person in every interview i've seen with him.
Both of those ideas were 1000x better than what the fans received. Whatever is next in his career I hope that it includes much more creative control than he had with them.
Just imagine the shock of seeing an actual human being coming out of that cage. That would have been hands down one of the coolest moments in WWE history and they ruined it by not even giving it a chance.
