I know alot of people don't like how you can 6 star to win 50 thropies and then immediately lose 50, but it's better than when you could 3 star and still lose.
It's actually a better mechanism, because when you got -50, there's something wromg with your defense, and then improve it by watching the replay Compared to old BB when you have to do just spam and wish you win faster. And it affects attacking too, because you don't need to hurry, you can use the most strategic approach to win the game, and conserve the troops as much as possible.
As a slightly trophy pushing person, it's fun to get matched up against a better-leveled person's base while they get yours and not letting them gain trophies off of you by taking down their base. What actually annoys me is the fact that stars are worth like 9 trophies each, so you can time fail 197% 5 star and lose 9 trophies for it when functionally you only really played worse by 1 or 2 trophies' worth.
You also just kind of have to have some sort of win/defeat system like you do in the builder base. You have the exact same thing in legend league too, but somehow there nobody is complaining lol
@@codewallette3381 I made a second half base where there was a 1-wide gap in the wall and a crusher right behind it. There was a cannon next to the crusher and in the corner of a rectangular section. When pekkas or the battle machine finish off the trash building outside the base nearest the cannon, they would literally walk to the adjacent side of the base, through that one block gap, and target the cannon while the crusher would whale away at them. Not super useful against all the pekka spam i suffered as 3200~3600 mid-leveled bh8. Would work great against giants though.
@@insertuserhere1748Because you won't even get builder elixir unless you spam attack and leave immediately instead of attacking properly. It completely kills the purpose for ranking up and hence, I always make the statement "Trophies are irrelevant in Builder Battle".
@@insertuserhere1748 builderhall 2 gives gold on attack, it scales with stars. elixer is granted with defence, wich downscales with stars. the gold and elixer income in my eyes is not high enough. gold isnt a big issue, its mainly elixer

My only problem about builder base now is the rewards. I'm Bronze II an I recieve 39 000 of gold for the six stars (And I don't get 6 stars in every attack) so I need a lot of attacks (and time) if I want to raise money for an upgrade

If Supercell added a currency similar to raid medals that could be earned thru the builder base but benefit the main village in some way people would play builder base way more. I personally love clan capital because its fun and you can buy things in the shop if you do the raids.
Here's an idea I have for the builder base: At builder hall 11, you gain the ability to upgrade B.O.B's hut in the home village like you can upgrade the builder's huts at TH14. Here's how it would work: As soon as the enemy starts deploying troops, B.O.B will start building robots around itself. These robots will wonder around and start attacking troops if they get within the robots' ranges. Maybe, you could also upgrade the B.O.B control beyond level 5 in the builder base to do a similar thing there.
It's dumb because the BB and HV are meant to be *separate* experiences. Making stuff in the home village be affected by BB isn't a good thing. BOB is meant to be a helping hand, awarded to you for doing something optional. And before you bring the gear-ups to this point, they're also optional and they're a reward for playing the BB

Another thing that makes playing the Builder base worth it is clan games. There are a lot of easy tasks in the builder base, which can be quickly completed one after another in comparison to home village tasks.
Occasionally you have these dumblings that don’t know how to anything but muscle it and lose in hilarious ways. But it doesn’t happen often enough to move up consistently
people dont play builder base as you make way too few gold, elixir is really easy to make, but gold is hard and there are upgrades with over 5 million gold, if they can do something about this it will definitely get better, but yea at this moment get the 6th builder and move on
nah they killed it with 2.0 it takes twice as long and they killed like every troop u cant even do barbs with wallbreakers and cannons anymore it was just an excuse to make the walls 5* as much 14 day upgrades ect.

I’m surprised the gem mine wasn’t mentioned. I know a lot of players play builders base just to upgrade that and 6th builder. Maybe it flys under the radar but it’s in my opinion a great building to speed up progression in the game.
I actually think this is nearly perfect and SO MUCH FUN when you take the time to expirement, but I think the loot needs to be increased at a base value. Like 2x across the board.
Im kinda late for this but my theory that eventually they will release Builder base 3.0 or 2.1 etc.. Because 2.0 meaning 2.1+ will eventually release If it was “Builder base 2” we can see it staying like that. So maybe they eventually will add a THIRD base on the future with much more strategy and new troops but you probably gonna need to be maxed th10 or higher on trophies since its gonna be hard.

The builder base is really cool but oh my god everything is SO SLOW. I am at builder base 4 and while I love doing attacks and I like everything about it, upgrading stuff takes an eternity. Atleast in the regular base you can have up to 5 or 6 builders, though I currently have 3. But the builder base only has one builder for the most part and 2 at maximum, though this is also forgetting the fact you might be gearing up something on the main village meaning you cant upgrade in the builder base either. The clock tower is useful but it doesn’t reduce the time much, as currently I am at clock tower 2, so I get 16 minutes of boost, meaning 144 minutes off upgrades, which is good, but with how long upgrades take it doesn’t do much.
Just got 3k trophies today for the 1k gems that was cool also im trying to get the 6th builder now bcz i couldnt be bothered playing before 2.0. I am th12 and dont even have all 3 gear ups
I dont really play bb anymore cus even if you 6 star if the other person 6 stars too you get no cups so they should make it so u like earn 50 by winning and 40 by losing so you can actually gain cups
The grind is too slow in builder base just etf can't you get some decent amount of coins and elixers in one match.. Like atleast give 100k coins I will play builder base regularly.. But like 20k per attack if you win is just a scam..And prices of building are too much..They should fix it asap..
One thing i dont like about this new builder base is, the requirement for the otto thing is now changed from lv 30 heroes to level 45. And ALSO making sure that you also upgrades buildings to its BH 10 version instead of 9 version. Oh also the troops lineup from being a zerg rush funfest into cringe ability based is not liked by me because it makes harder to win attacks not using Electrofire Wizard, Baby Dragons, and PEKKAS. I like the era when barbs can literally zerg rush a base...

As for loot, just don't worry about your trophies n just spam baby drags, close the app, n then open n repeat the process. We hav unlimited attacks now, so take advantage of that n then push for trophies later. I'm able to get 1mil builder elixir in 15min while also gaining about 800k builder gold; altho, this was possible bc I am BH10 with lvl7+ weapons, max baby dragons, hovering between 3k-4k trophy range, n b4 baby dragons got nerfed.
I'm almost max builder base 10( except for a few buildings and walls) with 5k-5.2k trophies and I must tell you that trophies do matter. Higher trophies mean higher league, higher rewards from star bonus, higher loot from attacks and defences, lesser you'll have to Attack to get those resources to build and you'll feel less frustrated. The only time I attack in the day is to complete the star bonus which leaves you with enough resources to upgrade and research considering the buildings also take like 10 days to upgrade. I have another builder Hall base 7, you cannot apply the same strategy here since buildings take a lot less time to upgrade but still pushing for those trophies and using just dropsships have helped me a lot. Since most people just rush their builder bases, drops hips are OP for even rushed th9s.
@bharatmatakayoda i'm not spamming baby drags to 6 star a base, I'm spamming them *for farming*. I do 6 star bases when I try n plan my baby dragon placement, but when I'm simply farming where the goal is to 3 star a base as fast as u can, spamming the drags n closing the app is the fastest way to farm. Also, spamming baby drags isnt the only option to 3 star a base; any troops can work actually, but spamming baby drags almost consistently 3 star a base, but after the nerf, their frequency of 3 starring a base decreased a bit.
Builder base 2.0 will also die if there is no competition. They should add CWL for builder base and wars so players can play different ways for more rewards.
As a player who spent a lot of time in bb 1.0 and had many top 100 season endings, I can say that you're wrong in many ways: 1. Versus battle system was absolutely better than what supercell did in bb 2.0 . The biggest problem now is that those who play for top 1-10 in the last hours and minutes receive their defenses very late, in fact at the beginning of the next season. Another problem with that new system is that high ranked players often face the same opponents several times in a row, and this makes base building useless, because the same player, attacking several times in a row, remembers the location of the traps and thus with a high probability destroys a base without problems. Both of these issues didn't exist in bb 1.0 . 2. Supercell said they wanted to remove spam style attacking that existed in bb 1.0 , but in fact spamming is still one of the most common way of attacking in bb 2.0 . People just spam pekka, baby dragons, drop ships with minions, cannon carts and pray for 3-6 stars. 3. Bb 2.0 will be more likely the same half-dead base as the previous bb 1.0 if supercell leave everything without major changes. Once most players upgrade this village to the maximum, they will stop playing it because the gameplay is extremely boring and monotonous. At the top of the world, many players have the same bases and attack styles. Even bb 1.0 had more attack strategies and types of layouts. P.S. I have a lot of top bb 1.0 players in friends and many of them just left this game or play th only since that update came out. I also don't like bb 2.0, this village has lost its charm.

Builder base is still bad, the fighting makes no sense, gaining trophies are extremely hard. Troop rework killed half of the roster. On top of that the artificial resource limit makes everything 10x worse.

Builder base 2,0 update ruined it, ruined the base, ruined rivalry, ruined ballance, ruined units - god who asked them to break the things which were working fine? they could just rework loot system and buff firecrackers (attacking for example 2 targets at ones) without touching anything else but no...they destroyed builder base - the only base i played clash of clans for!

Cos there is not a lot to upgrade. You can easily max out BH10 before 11 comes out if you really put yourself to it.

I wasn't aware of this, as I played Clash of Clans in 2023. Then stop playing it after having storage problems with the app in my phone.

The only time I attack in the day is to complete the star bonus which leaves you with enough resources to upgrade and research considering the buildings also take like 10 days to upgrade.
I have another builder Hall base 7, you cannot apply the same strategy here since buildings take a lot less time to upgrade but still pushing for those trophies and using just dropsships have helped me a lot. Since most people just rush their builder bases, drops hips are OP for even rushed th9s.

I do 6 star bases when I try n plan my baby dragon placement, but when I'm simply farming where the goal is to 3 star a base as fast as u can, spamming the drags n closing the app is the fastest way to farm.
Also, spamming baby drags isnt the only option to 3 star a base; any troops can work actually, but spamming baby drags almost consistently 3 star a base, but after the nerf, their frequency of 3 starring a base decreased a bit.
Builder Base is still crap and always will be. It needs to be completely scrapped and something new needs to replace it

Builder base 2.0 will also die if there is no competition. They should add CWL for builder base and wars so players can play different ways for more rewards.

As a player who spent a lot of time in bb 1.0 and had many top 100 season endings, I can say that you're wrong in many ways:
1. Versus battle system was absolutely better than what supercell did in bb 2.0 . The biggest problem now is that those who play for top 1-10 in the last hours and minutes receive their defenses very late, in fact at the beginning of the next season. Another problem with that new system is that high ranked players often face the same opponents several times in a row, and this makes base building useless, because the same player, attacking several times in a row, remembers the location of the traps and thus with a high probability destroys a base without problems. Both of these issues didn't exist in bb 1.0 .
2. Supercell said they wanted to remove spam style attacking that existed in bb 1.0 , but in fact spamming is still one of the most common way of attacking in bb 2.0 . People just spam pekka, baby dragons, drop ships with minions, cannon carts and pray for 3-6 stars.
3. Bb 2.0 will be more likely the same half-dead base as the previous bb 1.0 if supercell leave everything without major changes. Once most players upgrade this village to the maximum, they will stop playing it because the gameplay is extremely boring and monotonous. At the top of the world, many players have the same bases and attack styles. Even bb 1.0 had more attack strategies and types of layouts.
P.S. I have a lot of top bb 1.0 players in friends and many of them just left this game or play th only since that update came out. I also don't like bb 2.0, this village has lost its charm.
Finally someone who said bb2 is the same as bb1 but more problems they need to fix it more
They shouls have left the BH as one and not 2 seperate. Would have mase it more fun to see bigger bases and to have 2 heros attck at once.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE 6 STAR IDEA. KEEP IT SIMPLE TO 3 STARS. WTF?
Builder base is still bad, the fighting makes no sense, gaining trophies are extremely hard. Troop rework killed half of the roster.
On top of that the artificial resource limit makes everything 10x worse.

Builder base 2,0 update ruined it, ruined the base, ruined rivalry, ruined ballance, ruined units - god who asked them to break the things which were working fine? they could just rework loot system and buff firecrackers (attacking for example 2 targets at ones) without touching anything else but no...they destroyed builder base - the only base i played clash of clans for!

Why not just change the loot system and add the new buildings etc but not split the map, add a new area or mode like supercell always have in the main game
It’s a lazy solution if you ask me - I’ve purchased loads and played for years sitting around 5k trophy’s
