  • Grab yourself a note pad as Dan Lydiate drops so many gems from tips, drills & advice on how we can better our Rugby tackle.
    Main points:
    - Light on your feet
    - Don't plant early (get close to the attacker)
    - Drop your height and project yourself through the tackle.
Alongside the above Lydiate gives tips on arm position from what Shaun Edwards taught him.
Knitting all the Tips together Dan shares with us a simple but effective drill of which we can all add our extras.

This is how the NRL players in Australia have been tackling for as long as I can remember, another reason for staying tall in the tackle is the attacker will mirror you, usually if you stay tall he will stay stall then you drop late and chop him.
