Nothing great about it. In training all ball carriers run and stay upright. It almost never happen in a game. No wonder teams give away so many penalties with head contact. They don't train properly.
@@sbok9481 Kolbe & KLA both red carded this year for taking players out in the air. Kreil & Faf both knocked out cold attempting ill advised grass cutter tackling technique. Why not worry about your own team instead of criticizing ours?
@@regularjohn7123 So was Koirobette, Barret, Dupont and many more. What's your point. Air collisions are a general problem, which should not be allowed in the first place. You can't coach someone not to make a JUDGEMENT ERROR. Did you see the word ERROR in there? It means NOT deliberate. Tackle technique is premeditated and you have mostly control over how low or high you tackle. You can learn from mistakes or you could stay like your first name.
They must get a specialist defense coach. Nobody presents their ribs like they do in training. Caleb Clarke is a prime example. He bends down his upper body and lift the knees, resulting in an unsuspected tackler to be concussed. Our boys go for the legs. The success rate is higher and it's more realistic in a game situation. Look at Faf, Kurt-Lee Arendse, Kolbe, Jessie Kriel, all going for the legs, especially if they are smaller than the ball carrier.
Of course they have a specialist defensive coach. Two springboks knocked out this season against the AB's with poor tackling technique why would the AB's need their advice?
Oh, so you are proud of the fact that Caleb Clark managed to concuss two of our players. Next time you want to preach player safety if your team is concussed. The worst tackler we know of is Caleb Clark. So where is your so called specialist coach? Your team will slowly move backwards if you are the yardstick of NZ. You can't take criticism or advice. I also never said you must get a SA coach. I merely mentioned how we are trained to tackle.
@@regularjohn7123 What was so poor in their technique that you refer to? Can you remember Jona Lomu score ONE SINGLE try against SA? No. We were coached to go for the legs. You can't run without legs. The same with Clarke. But Clarke deliberately presents his knees during his brace. That is dangerous. Is the exact same as a ball carrier leads with his elbow to brace the tackle. Rugby rules don't address it because it almost never happen. Now you want to say that it is the tackler that has a bad technique resulting in him getting hurt.
Damn are those SA fans cringing easily. Seriously, anyone trying to teach technique to the all blacks from his coach has no idea of what he's talking about.
@@chrgf I suppose you're right. The ALL BLACKS are the no 1 ranked team in the world and the World Champions. They don't lose any games and can't do any wrong. Foster is the BEST coach. So please STOP WHINING about your coach when you lose. According to you, it's certainly not the coaching that's a problem.
Could watch this all day
😊
Such a great technique from these guys
