Brian is right. It always happens and it's true I always run out of buttercream and I've been decorating cakes like for years I have to make like so many batches of buttercream.

White food coloring for the stars would work out so great! But it will be a bit messy! If you just apply some white food coloring to a food paint brush and flick it, it would be so pretty!!
