Made this for my son's 6th birthday today. Turned out fab and your instructions are really clear and reassuring for someone like me who's a relative cake newb. Would recommend buying pre-coloured fondant where possible. I have red and blue colouring everywhere! Still, the kid loves his slightly off-colour purple imposter! Huge thanks.

*I personally don't like the taste of fondant at all... Ganache, however, is heavenly! But I understand that certain things cannot be made unless done with fondant and are much nicer looking with it too! Either way this cake is so brilliant!! Amazing work!!*

I use a baking tray, however print your template and then you can see what pan you need in your location!

I love the idea of the cuts, but everyone coming to my daughters party hates fondant. Can this be done in a buttercream per chance?
Many people have recreated this using butter cream -maybe I should make a video on that too?

vodka and food colouring makes a great quick dry food paint.
