If you don’t already have a library card, you need to get one! I read all my books on Kindle using my library card for free. They even have audiobooks you can borrow. I haven’t purchased a book in several years.
Yes, I do! I use the app Libby it’s amazing and I get free virtual library books it’s so great! Thanks for your help and for watching 🫶🏼🙂
I agree. I just started borrowing books from the library through Libby.
@@laurasagan2606 it’s so easy! I love using that app so many good books on there too :)
I like having favorites, so it makes it easier to get one of each thing that is good quality. I agree with technology, I did get a Google Pixel 7a recently, but my old phone was losing charge and it was 3 years old.
Yes I couldn’t agree more! Sometimes we have to upgrade when we need to there’s nothing wrong with that :)
Could you please write out this list in the description box? (I had difficulty understanding/hearing you because of the background music). Thank you ❤
Of course! Once I have it uploaded I will let you know 🙂❤️ Also, I listed each part of my list in the video if that helps too!
I don't fill my apartment with unwanted STUFF!
I collect memories not things.
We don't need half of what Americans think we do.
Could you imagine if animals use toilet paper?
yet, we condition ourselves with the I might need that "mortality"
❤!
Have a great week.
Yes, love this!! I couldn't agree more!! Have a great week too!
I use one perfurm to go out and one body splash to everyday, my cellphone is a old one and i have just bank account, youtube and netflix installed (i dont have a TV). My goals this year is to buy things to my house and save a bit of money.
Seems like you are doing a great job so far! I have similar goals for this year too :)
I stopped buying hair dye.... until I starting getting grays #darkbrunette #thisis28
No shame in that! Gotta do what we gotta do I’m sure I have a few of those hiding too at 28 😅
I got rid of most of my books recently. It’s been hard taking my identity away from my book collection
It’s definitely not easy to declutter something like that, but I would definitely say to keep things that bring you joy and if a book collection does that don’t be afraid to keep more 🙂
Not even watched the first half and I love this video so much! And at 3:14 - latest tech - that's so good! I'm the same nowdays. I use my devices for as long as possible. Until it almost breaks or when I really need something new. It's important to buy something new before it's impossible to transfer your apps and documents 🥰
A big problem for us humans is the we often are collectors. Clothes, bags, movies, books, CDs, games, art, toys and whatever. So it's really a great to watch videos like this one from you to get inspiration to not collect too much. I love to listen to other people like you for inspiration to how to think for getting rid of things.
So this kind of video and also smart storage solutions videos are what I love so much! Means so much!
As always I appreciate and love you loads! You're really that bestie I wish I had 🥺❤️ you're so amazing and wonderful in so many ways! You truly deserve so so soooo many more views and subs 🥰 Xoxo
Aw thank you so so much!! You’re so kind! You’re exactly how I am with technology and devices! I will use it until I can’t anymore 😂 I couldn’t agree more collecting things is very popular and goes hand in hand with consumerism. I am trying to keep only items I love and realizing what I really do and don’t need.
I’m so glad this video helps inspire you that makes me so happy to help others 🤍☺️
Thank you for all of your kind words and I’m sure we will would make great friends sharing so many interests! I appreciate your support it means the world ❤️❤️🫶🏼
Soooo happy that we got so similar mindset 🥰🥰 I love technology and devices so much and of course it would be so nice to always have "the latest and greatest" but that would hurt the wallet so much.. I bought a MacBook in 2015 and I've used it since then in 7 years and now lately I bought a new one. I really felt that I needed a brand new. And I'm the same as you with perfume as well! Same with shoes and clothes. I don't need so many pair of shoes. I rather have a very few pair that I really love/appreciate 💖
Consumerism is interesting! The society is based on that. If we all reduce our shopping too much then so many people will lose their jobs. It's a tricky balance 🥺
Wish so bad that I could give you a big hug and in that hug I wanna thank you for all your inspiration and say that you're how I love a great friend to be 💖💖
I wish I can inspire you with anything, some day ⭐️ my love, heart and support is soooo yours! 💕💕💕
@@cjeelde you make such good points on the technology, shoes and consumerism! I never thought about how that would affect jobs that’s so true. It’s a very tricky balance for sure 😞 I’m so happy to help and inspire you!! 🤍🤍 thanks for your support! 🥰
Exactly 🥰 and so happy that I found you, your inspiration means so much ❤️❤️
Have you ever watched that TV show "Extreme hoarders"? I've watched that and that's when collecting has gone way too far a really long time ago. But that TV show is a perfect example of how to focus on what's the most important to keep and what to get rid of.
So that's what I need: inspiration for keep/throw and also for storage/organize. I prefer to do the organize first, then it's easier to decide what to keep and get rid of 🥰
So so soooo much love to you ❤️❤️
Please DO NOT use essential oils in your dryer! Its a fire hazard!
Oh goodness I didn’t know that thanks so much for sharing!!
Great list! I wish I had this mindset at your age - guessing I’m close to your parent’s age. Since I was a kid I have always liked things neat and uncluttered (no overflowing drawers or closets or shelves). Problem is I always had a lot of space. I bought my first house at 26 (in Tampa ironically) and kept buying up with each move because that’s what you were supposed to do. They were good investments but my current house (NE FL) was a what was I thinking house - way too big, way too much to maintain. The current housing market makes it very hard to downsize homes because there is so much competition for the smaller ones. I sort of feel trapped. I also really love my neighborhood.
Thank you! That’s how I always was a kid too, I loved to declutter our whole house and organize everything from spice cabinets to closets. Wow such a small world you that bought your first home here in Tampa! Yes, that’s very true that was the expectation and mindset to keep upgrading your home. It’s very unfortunate how crazy the housing market is I agree. We hope to buy in the future but that won’t happen until the market settles down more. That sounds very difficult for you I’m so sorry to hear that I can understand why you feel stuck. Hopefully some homes become available for you soon :)
Great tips! Thank you😊
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching :)
I love my minimal flat now
It makes the space so much better!!
I agree with everything but books, there is nothing better than holding and reading a good book the other thing is you do need more than one pair of scissors, it my husband used my fabric scissors to cut paper, there would be a problem lol, also you don’t use the same scissors to cut your hair that you would use for paper. Other duplicates you may have a point on.
Oh yes I understand that I love the feeling of holding a book! Haha yes very good point some scissors are different I really meant basic scissors you wouldn’t need duplicates of. I agree with you though, hair scissors and for instance kitchen scissors would be totally different but you wouldn’t need duplicates of either of these I hope that helps clarify the point I was trying to make 🙂
Excellent content and informative! New subscriber. ❤🎉❤
THANK YOU! So glad you enjoyed it!!❤
Books can be taken out at the library for free.
Yes! I use my library card often!
I love this but look, I will not stop buying doubles/triples/quadruples of notebooks. I can’t stop and I accept that about myself lol.
Nothing wrong with that at all! Everyone has different preferences and that is totally fine :)
Really love your videooss and been watching them while decluttering or even when I feel lazy 🙌🤍 I just wanted to point out that the music is a bit loud esp if anyone has earphones on which makes it a bit harder to focus 🙈😄
Thanks for watching! I appreciate the feedback I’ll be sure to lower it for future videos thank you 🙂
Hi Ali - I have been itching to see a minimalist shoe declutter / collection video! I am trying so hard to have 4-5 pairs of essential shoes but honestly I just have such an attachment to boots 😅
Hi Emily! You got it! This is something I definitely need to declutter so I will add this to my list of videos to make. Haha I understand that shoes are so hard to let go of 😅 Thanks so much for watching 🫶🏼
Hey Emily! I am also on my way to minimalism. I watched a documentary about minimalism and the advice that stayed with me is - if there is something that makes you happy, for example collecting books, CDs or anything that brings you happiness, you should not get rid of it. If you like boots, it's okay to leave them. I think we all rush too much into minimalism and get rid of too much too fast, and then later on we sometimes tend to regret it haha! If having different pairs of boots brings you joy, I think you should definitely keep them! Maybe not EVERY pair but you get the point. Minimalism should be whatever you want it to be. For me that means getting rid of unnecessary things that I reeeally don't need and they just clutter my space. But I love me my collection of books, vinlys and jackets! Good luck! ☺
@@laurasebalj5939 I absolutely love this advice!! Thank you so much for sharing! I will be using this moving forward on my minimalist journey 🤍 Which documentary did you watch?
@@AliMarie I've watched The Minimalists: Less Is Now (2021) it's on Netflix! They have an older documentary as well, I believe from 2015! ✨
Great thank you I will check those out!! 🙂
What I’m always interest in is why or how people got to minimalism. Was there a point we’re you realised or was it a slow journey of being more sustainable and then got to minimalism (like me). I would like to know
I can definitely do a video more in depth on this! For me, it has been a slow gradual journey just like you 🙂 I started decluttering a lot and the less junk I had the better I felt. So I started to dive into minimalism more and realized it was exactly what I needed in my life to feel my best.
you have helped me now i see other areas i need to work on i still have way to much to manage im going to do another sweep and this time im really going to be ruthless i dont want to mess up and get rid of stuff we need but theres still a ton i can let go of
I’m so happy to hear that! I love being able to help and inspire others :) good luck on your next sweep you got this!! Yes, I agree keep items you need but definitely donate or toss items that won’t be used.
Great video! What essential oil scents do you use with dryer balls?
Thank you! Typically we use lavender, but you can use any of your favorite scents :)
You’re doing great with these minimalism videos. Even though I’ve been on this minimalism journey for about 4 years, I still learn a lot from your videos.
Thank you so much. That means the world to me 🤍 thank you for your support ☺️
Great tips!!
Thank you!! 🤍
