Heyy, I’ve just remembered, didn’t you say in one video that your brother lives in Florida? I hope everyone there is safe! Sending prayer for all of the states suffering from the hurricanes.
Wow, Yes! 🥺 thank you so much!! His house is in the direct path of hurricane Milton but thankfully he has evacuated and is in a better location but we are all so worried for him and heartbroken for everyone that is suffering from Helene. 🥺 my parents are in East Tennessee and are also okay but it’s been a hard hit for the south East and so devestating😞💔
@@AshlynnCalee Oh my gosh that’s scary! I’m so glad they’re okay. I pray for God to bless and keep safe everyone there going through this, and their families.
I absolutely love Ashlynn's videos. Not only are they always so bright and feel positive, but you can tell she works hard to keep her content unique and fresh. This video was no exception!
Such a cute video! Your grandma has good taste in books! My little brother asked all my family what our favorite books were so he could read them(we are also a big family of readers!) he wasn’t very happy when my top choice for him was The Stand by Stephen King. 😬 It would be so fun to see you reading all your family’s top favorites and experiencing their taste in books!
Beneath A Scarlett Sky is one of my absolute favorite books ever. It is heartbreaking, informative and causes so many thoughts and feelings. No matter how long its been since reading this book, I still think of it.
I’ve added Beneath a Scarlet Sky to my Amazon wish list so that I eventually buy it. I don’t usually read stories that are based on true accounts because they affect me too much but this book sounds really interesting. Thank you for the recommendation 😀
Bestie have you read The Nightingale??? If you enjoyed beneath the scarlet sky with the silent hero’s, it is like that except focusing on what the women did while the men were away and the huge impact the women made in secret, you will love it!!!
11/22/63 is by far the best book I have ever read, it had such a long lasting impact on me, nothing else has compared since or before reading it. The day I finished it, I was an absolute mess. I just kept randomly crying! I even started crying during my driving lesson and my driving instructor thought it was hilarious (which it was). Anyways, I encourage everyone to pick it up because it is LIFE CHANGINGGGGG.
Good for you making it through dark age. It was a struggle for me because I did not know it was groomed dark at all. I was so sad and I cried at least three times in that book.
Hi Ashlynn! I love that you’re getting into some historical fiction reads recently! A book I read recently read that I think you’d absolutely love is “A Girl Called Samson” by Amy Harmon. It’s about a girl that disguises herself as a soldier in the Continental army during the American Revolution (also based on a true story). There’s found family and faith and strength and romance and the author just has a way of making you walk together with the main character and feel what she’s feeling. Hope you give it a go! ❤
My uncle was in WWII in Europe. We heard a few stories. His division helped liberate a concentration camp. He didn’t talk about that much. Who could blame him. So happy when I see your vids in my feed!
Mimi’s a legend, haha. She definitely seems like a sweet lady. I’d like to get back to the Red Rising Sequels. Initially I bounced off of them because the multi-first-person-pov was really jarring. But knowing that now I could probably enjoy them.
Wow those are some solid books. My mom loved Beneath a Scarlet Sky and 11/22/63 is on my TBR. And I LOVED Dark Age but the next book is my favorite in the Red Rising series.💗
Ashlynn, I will like to recommend a WW2 true story called We Die Alone by David Howorth! I am a free thinker but the events in this book made me felt the presence of a higher source of power...I cannot recommend enough!
Haha. All I could think of for my parents to pick something is sports from my dad, smut/romance books from my mom and my three sisters possibly fantasy maybe.
I think that it is a great that everyone in your family loves to reads. Unfortunately, all of the books that they picked for you are on my TBR and are books that I own so I had to skip over the summary of each book because I like to go into a book as blind as possible, knowing little to nothing about the book, I don't even read the summary on the inside jacket or back of the book. I literally purchase books by cover and recommendations.
7:44 To be honest when I read a book about the War or anything non-fiction I just rate it 5 because it feels wrong to almost rate it anything else and make a judgement on someone’s life and experience
This was so cute! I love seeing your family pick books for you to read. I may have to use this idea sometime for my channel. Two of my besties gave Beneath a Scarlet Sky 5 stars so I definitely need to read it. I started the audio but I need to go back to it.
I loved the idea of this video, but I feel like if you’re gonna have people pick books for you they should be able to pick whatever they want, not just from a selection 6 books you have already picked out. It makes the concept way more fun.
Actually I think "the back of books" regularly spoil a LOT. I never read them for that reason. Really appreciated your comment about giving what is too great a burden for us to bear to the Lord (Matthew 11:28-30). Great video!
They did pick some big ones. I love Stephen King. It’s getting to the point that I can’t pick a favorite, bc all of his books touch me in some way, so they’re all five stars😂😂
Awesome video idea 💯‼️😻What do you mean by “fluff” ? Is fluff in books filler extra material ? So far I have tried 2 Stephen King books the shortest book The Elevation is so boring and depressing as well as short that it put me to sleep. Then I tried IT and the first part was so boring and filled with filler/fluff of information that wasn’t in the film version and by the time that I got to part 2 where the film starts I was ready to dnf it. Don’t know if I should try 11/22/1963 or maybe any other Stephen King book or just give up on his books. Also I have read books 4 and 5 of The Red Rising series and the first 3 books are the best and so far the rest of the Red rising books are not as exciting and o am just reading them to finish the series and I don’t know if I should just spoil myself and read a plot explaination of the Lightbringer if it’s like books 4 & 5. Is Lightbringer worth reading ? Also should I give Stephen King another chance and if yes which Stephen King book would recommend ? I also have ADHD and dyslexia so reading comprehension is difficult for me and while the audiobooks for the first 3 Red rising books were amazing, I am having trouble with the rest of the series and the vocabulary and comprehension of the books. So maybe having the physical book would help me to comprehend them better and I can look up the difficult words? As for Stephen King the narrators for his audiobooks are just so boring so if you could recommend one Stephen King book that is as long as Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and that I won’t get bored I would really appreciate.
Would a mature 14 year old be able to read beneath a scarlet sky? Because it sounds like something my younger friend would love. Also do you think she could read Red Rising or does she need to wait until she’s older?
Ashlynn, it’s great to see you doing so well on RUclips! I actually haven’t seen any of your videos yet! I was making dinner and saw Clorissa’s RUclips pulled up and I saw you and your parents in one of the video feeds and watched it! Great public speaking, great positivity, great editing and great job Loving your family!🙏 I’ve been reading a book by a Doctor on a topic that interested me for some sermon series’ that I’ve been studying for Preaching. I was thinking about doing a book review on it on my RUclips channel and if you want, I might share it with you if you wanted to hear it? It may even make a good episode collaboration if you wanted to? Either way, it’s always great to see you and your family! Have a Blessed day and may The Lord, our God, Bless your channel with success!👩🏻👶🏼👧🏼👨🦲🐶
Your dad using the super bright headlamp to read a book a foot from his face is the most "dad" thing ever, and im guilty of it too
Your brother looks like the “don’t ask me how I did it I just did it and it was hard” guy
THIS😭😭😂😂
“That one”
“It’s 750 pages…”
“That’s the one I picked”
😂😂😂
Such a brother move lol

He is RUTHLESS 😭😂
Ashlynn after finishing beneath a scarlet sky: ☹️
Ashlynn in the next clip: HI everyone :D
You definitely need to do this again. It was so nice to see your family.
I enjoy the Bible scripture at the start of your videos.
I absolutely love Ashlynn's videos. Not only are they always so bright and feel positive, but you can tell she works hard to keep her content unique and fresh. This video was no exception!
good video yet again, I would only add for people to read 'Magnetic Aura' from Borlest helped me a tonnn
Such a cute video! Your grandma has good taste in books!

Great choice, but you had no mercy 🤣🤣🤣
Hahahah!! Wow, The Stand!! That is awesome 😂😂😂
your family is so sweet! this was so wholesome 🥹📚🫶🏻
Beneath A Scarlett Sky is one of my absolute favorite books ever. It is heartbreaking, informative and causes so many thoughts and feelings. No matter how long its been since reading this book, I still think of it.
I love having book club meetings with the people I love.

It’s such a good read 😢❤
"It's 750 [pages]"
Meanwhile 11/22/63 being almost 900 pages
Beneath a Scarlet Sky is great! I read it based on Ian's recommendation earlier in the year.
Ohemgeeeeeeeee why is your entire family so cute!? Beneath A Scarlet Sky is on my TBR for November! 😊
Bestie have you read The Nightingale??? If you enjoyed beneath the scarlet sky with the silent hero’s, it is like that except focusing on what the women did while the men were away and the huge impact the women made in secret, you will love it!!!
Hi! Do u know where ur cross necklace is from? So cute and dainty
Beneath a scarlet sky is my favorite book!!!!!!!
Beneath a Scarlet Sky was so good! And I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on 11/22/1963.

I was so excited to watch this when you announced it earlier on Instagram 😁 That’s impressive how everyone loves to read!
Your grandma is so sweet I hope the Lord protects her
I’ve been planning out writing my fantasy novel for a while now, so thank you for sharing about Spines!! 🤎🫶🏼📖
Nice picks you got, especially 11.22.63! His second best I have read so far.. Now go read The Stand and do a discussion video on it with Ian! 🤘
My uncle was in WWII in Europe. We heard a few stories. His division helped liberate a concentration camp. He didn’t talk about that much. Who could blame him.
So happy when I see your vids in my feed!
Wow, he was a hero 🥺❤️

I LOVE YOU ASHLYNN!!!!
You should do another one with your family to pick your reads
this video’s take really clicks with some of the things I've been reading in the book Magnetic Aura from Borlest
I just ordered The Red Rising Series on a special Barnes & Noble sale. Whole series for $7.99. I can't wait to get it.😊
LOVED this video!! You read the coolest books. Inspired by u!!! 🫶🏼
Haha. All I could think of for my parents to pick something is sports from my dad, smut/romance books from my mom and my three sisters possibly fantasy maybe.
Im on the fourth book of the red rising series and you just motivated me to push through it so I can start Dark Age :D love your blogs
11/22/63 is one of my all time favorite books. I think 2nd only to Les Misérables.
I love you SO MUCH Ashlynn, you make the best videos that I could binge for HOURS, and you inspired me to read
This was really fun and creative 😊
your family is so cute

Loved this video and seeing your family ❤
this format really suits me
The Count of Monte Cristo is my favorite, if I am absolutely forced to pick a book. What a great video! I want to read and reread so many of these!
Your family choosing your next to read is hilarious!! Brother ls are brothers haha 750 pages!! Wow 😂
Still waiting for your Clash of Kings reading vlog.... 😁
I’m so early!! Ahhh I love your videos!! 🫶🏼

The wishing game is so good it’s like a Willy Wonka retelling
Hii
Sadly what’s happening in Gaza just shows people never learn the lessons from history 💔

I can’t wait to read that one by Stephen King 11/22/63. That was 3 years before I was born in 66
If you liked beneath the scarlet sky I would read under the light of the Italian moon!
Would a mature 14 year old be able to read beneath a scarlet sky? Because it sounds like something my younger friend would love. Also do you think she could read Red Rising or does she need to wait until she’s older?
Do you have Goodreads?
