Totally agree with the views in this country. I reckon we have some of the most majestic views in the world. The Highlands right up north, I reckon, there is nothing to beat it. Have been around most of Europe and have visited the Grand Canyon in Arizona. And nothing can compare to the Highlands or any of the National Parks in the UK. Anyway, keep safe. Like old times😉. After my lovely hubby sadly passed away four years ago, I took myself off to visit Hadrian's Wall as I've always wanted to see it. Went up the M6 and came off at Carlisle, and on the way back, called in at Tebay. This summer will visit the Selkies and see them, so another visit into Tebay. I do agree with you about Tebay, its a bit more expensive, but its far better than the run-of-the-mill service stations. And I do prefer their fare. Its not exactly a place that you'd call in every day. So its more of a treat🤣. Its also a bit awkward for cars to park as well. Just out of curiosity, when you left Tebay, all those blasted cones. Were there any roadworks, or just mile upon mile upon mile of the stupid things with nothing to show for it? Talking about the low flying jet. That happened to my brother once when he was coming over Woodhead Pass. He had to do a 45 minute stop, and he had a few jets come over him, and he found out later that they used him as a target for their low flying bomb practice run😊
Martyn, One vlog would you be up for a "Setting up for a week tramping in Europe" and showing what you typically bring for a weeks work? Would be interesting to see as i'd love to go tramping in the future when i achieve my license, Cheers bud

Lovley scenery around Shap.My grandad worked for BRS in sheffield and Scotland was a regular run in a old layland octopus and he told us lots of stories about getting stuck on Shap in the winter.brilliant vlog pal.
The collection point you were at have a great bunch of workers there, we deliver there regularly and normally in out shake it all about with no issues.

I agree with another comment excellent as always as I remember the last time you were in Scotland 🏴 you were picking up recycle ♻️ cans along a bit from the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum after spending the night outside Perth. You went via Dunfermline when heading South again. That was last March or April if correctly Pal. 👍
Good to see you on the M6 the other day. I was in the City Logistics Volvo. I had just come down from Glasgow as well. I must of not been to far ahead of you during the run down. I also saw the two Jets near Shap. Amazing to watch them fly over. Great Video as always.

Tebay Services, used to be my favourite, was always guaranteed to get something decent even though it is expensive. Last time I was coming home at 2 am bought a chicken pie that was delisious but cost over £5, but the chips were hard and cold, coffee was poor quality. Wrote to complain, they offered me a voucher but never got it.
Did you change you're mind and not bother stopping at Tebay instead carried on to killington Lake, They used to do a wicked steak and kidney pie chips peas an gravy in the cafe but I'm going back to the 80s now, I even fell for a waitress there I hope she's still around 👍

Tebay is not cheap, but it good food and better than the norm. The views and valley are great. I pass the Cumbria sign south of Kendal but I feel back home as I drive through the valley. I love living in this beautiful county
