I think that all the time. The Tillamook ice cream buffet was probably tough for the lactose crowd.

I remember way back when, in an episode, they had brought up this up. Whatever is obviously edible for everyone/most will be consumed by the crew. Anything else gets donated to pig farms for slop or composted. Don't quote me on this, just what my memories tell me. But I remember it coming up in an episode

Erewhon used to be a semi normal independent health food store. They only very slowly morphed into an expensive luxury status type store. I work nearby, but rarely go there. It's weird that people would pay 15 bucks for an egg salad sandwich. It's just boiled eggs and mayo!

Whole Foods is actually cheaper than Publix for a lot of things now
not only is whole foods cheaper but it seems significantly better considering how often walmart and kroger beat earworm or whatever.

I think they're just used to Kroger usually being the winner and Link wasn't really paying attention to the fact that Walmart actually won this episode while Kroger did just fine overall.
I know these episodes aren’t super fast paced or exciting but they’re my favourites. I like naked foods, any taste test, comparisons. They’re mild but sometimes you need to cleanse your pallet

$18 for a rotisserie chicken almost seems reasonable to me. Especially if you compare it to a $15 egg salad sandwich or a $21 bowl of soup.
The best chicken I ever had was a 26€ local organic free-range and all that one my mom cooked.
Compared to Costco’s $5 chicken it seems insane, but at least it feeds 4+ people

a fast food place in australia, red rooster, sells a whole rotisserie chicken for about 20 dollars if i ememebr right
well the soup was 32 oz so that's like 3 portions, $15 sandwich is just wild though
I have never heard of Erewhon despite living/working in LA, and wow, I will never shop there. I don't mind paying a slight price bump for convenience, but it's looking like everything is 2-3x as much as it should be.

Walmart definitely benefits from the fact they don't have to go in the Walmart. And it might not be true anymore but when I went to Walmart as a kid they weren't very clean. It can be hard to get past those kinds of strong associations.

I would guess the Erehwon chicken is so small because it’s a no hormones / free range or some kind of heritage bird. More expensive tends to be smaller since it’s not given those growth hormones. No excuse for over cooking tho! Haha
