you can get them under msrp on gunbroker just watch the auctions plenty of chances you can always score now they are available who knows in future if joe does import ban. HK won’t admit it but almost the whole gun or parts are from germany and assembled hear an import ban would stop the ability to produce them here. That can be done without executive order president has full authority to do so its not a law does not need congressional approval. Its the same authority as say closing the border for covid

Why release any kind of "new" AR platform in 2021 and not have it be full ambi? Just doesn't make any sense anymore. HK trying to be like Harley Davidson and get top dollar for outdated design 🤦♂️

Needs the slimline stock, HK grip, and adjustable gas. Chrome or at least nitride the barrels. Come on Hk.
I'd like the adjustable gas black. But the stock and grip, buy whatever you like. As for it not being chrome lined? Clean it out with a copper solvent after 10,000 rounds. That's it. That is the one and only 'detriment' of it not being chrome lined.

Can't believe this rifle is much more expensive than the H&K 416. I mean what makes it more expensive, it just looks the same as the 416 just a bit longer barrel and different handguard

@@LîNkxUSMC At this point, either will do. I’ve been on the fence on selling my MR556A1 because of the lack of barrel coating, no ambi controls and it’s heavy as hell.
@@CaptainCreampie69 i hear ya, hk is pretty ridiculous for thinking their name alone is reason to charge the premium they demand for an outdated design. It does have some cool features, but the lack of ambi controls and some sort or barrel treatment is unacceptable in this day and age for sure.

I love my mr556. Id love to get an mr223 a3. If yall have a factory in America then just make them shits over here. I got made fun of by a canadian that had an mr223 a3 and I cannot believe that they are getting these things and not us. Make another factory if you have to. People will buy the hell out of these things. Make 1,000,000 hk mr223 a3s and I guarantee you they will all sell. DO IT!

Yes, and the MR308 is the civilian version of the HK417
They're not the same. Very similar but you aren't getting a 416.

416 is chrome lined and full auto capable. Same gas system though, which is the best thing going for this rifle (short stroke piston)!

It’s already got a heavy barrel. Putting a quad rail on it makes it unreal. 8lb gun with M-lok probably 9-10 with quad then add in magazine, and optic and you are upwards to 11 or 12lbs. Not worth it. I’ve got one and they are way heavier than my DDM4v7.
@@CaptainCreampie69 They re-contoured the barrel to a light profile BS! With the m-lock rail and the Magpul grip, they made it an American, Armalite-looking piece of wanna-be HK crapola! Just another ar-15 now for $3500.00. Kind of like a $30,000.00 "Indian Chief" motorcycle made by Polaris. I purchased the 2021 HK MR762A1 and the barrel is soooo thin!!! I hope my newly ordered MR556A1 is not as thin. Now I have to order the quad rail and German barrels. Another $1,500.00 per gun.
