The reason they're so expensive is because it says WALKERS on the packet, overated and overpriced products, just like HEINZ, imo. Keep up the great work with the videos 👍
They target the public to recycle more but not these companies who continue to make bigger packaging with less content, whilst increasing the price. There is absolutely no reason to make the bag twice as big as the contents, but just to fool the buyer. We all keep falling for it over and over again. Great video though... as always!
Just finished munching a pack of these. I think they taste like paprika as well. They’re better than the wotsits crunchy version(taste very lemony) but the Doritos are the best version, they taste like Takis. I got these from Asda. For £1.50
That Millenium Falcon was Pac Man in disguise! My hubby went to put these crisps in our basket last week and I gave him the look of 'are you joking, at that price' and they stayed on the shelf 😂😂
Tried the Doritos version the other day, opened the bag and saw what looked like bright red Doritos staring back! I thought, ‘blooming heck, these are gonna be hot!’….and they were!! 🥵
Extra flamin’ pricey…..what else? They smell, and crunch! Chop up a spud and make your own! Love watching you BFG……even though I’m a vegetarian, I watch them all……pie-opsies, meaty stuff…..the lot. You do everything so well, thank you!
I don't do crisps anymore on my diet but used to like Tayto back in the day. P.S. Can you do a review on the Sainsbury's mince they're trying to pass off as beef mince please, I was shocked at the state of it on the shelves in a vac bag. ❤
Glad you did this video mate. I picked up a bag of these in Tesco last week, can't remember how much they were but definitely less than £2.25 I wouldn't have paid that! By chance I opened them up and tried them just before I watched your video. Taste is pleasant, but laughed at the 'extra flamin hot' because they definitely aren't!
Hi Gareth, thanks for another brill review. Really cheered me up after one of my oldest friends passed away yesterday suddenly at a very young age. It's all hot air from Walkers. The only thing that's extra flaming hot is the price. You might get burned...lol.Keep up the spot on work. Best wishes from Scotland.
Those Seabrook Scorpion Chilli crisps that appear every now and then in supermarkets are the hottest on the market, for me. I'm alright with spice, but those DO make your head sweat
Honestly, these companies are taking the piss now with their pricing on these so called special edition crisps and massive bags with hardly anything in them. Would only buy these when they were on offer. Great video as ever.
We always buy Lay's crisps, they are all owned by the same parent company of Walkers but I think Lay's are produced abroad and taste so much better, or Tato crisps are also way better than Walkers.
I notice the Marmite branded flavour crisps, which used to be Walkers, are now made by Tayto in Ireland. Crisp inflation has been astronomical in the past few years 🤬
I don’t know if you’re into sweet stuff but Iceland do a nice range of frozen cakes. They have a new one, rhubarb & custard which is delicious. I got my mum one for Mothers Day & now she demands them every time I do an order, 3 for £6!
Liking the marks out of ten, def do this on all your reviews going forward, quite a few of them are just you saying, that’s nice. Another great video though!
I don't like sunflower oil, which all crisps are now made in. The only crisps I now eat occasionally are Golden Wonder chicken flavour as they are nicely flavoured and it masks the sunflower oil, combined with a good price (1.25 for 6x25g at Home Bargains)
Not bought walkers for years.. Rip off prices, I actually prefer tesco own brand or lidl crisps. Lidl cheesy nachos a jar of chopped jalapinos, and a cheese & chive dip costs about the same, and you get more. 😎😋
As you posted this I was in Iceland I walked in with a trolley and all I bought was 2 bottles of the New Lucozade (£1.50p each) Iceland's Prices are shocking for Food now
Whilst waiting for a table at my local Toby I had a packet of the Max roast beef ones and they were delicious , much better than the actual meal itself I kid you not 😂
Keep em coming Gaz! It's worth noting that these used to be 150g bags, so as ever, you pay more for less. They think they can fool you with a bag redesign too! Lame tactics by Walkers.
Things have been difficult in the food industries, these past few years. It isn't surprising that some companies introduce products that are different. So that some people buy them to try 😉 How much sugar are in those? Crisps and sugar don't mix. Cheers for sampling these Gareth 🙂
Tried a bag of these from my local discount store and they were £1.50 ..... didn't think they tasted much different to normal Flamin Hot version but was drinking Lager too!.... Prefer the Hot Chicken Wings flavour myself and they are always on offer in my local Food Warehouse Iceland at 3 bag's for £5.00 ....at least you won't get asked if you can do them in the Microwave!....😂.....👍
If you could find them, you should try seabrooks loaded fire eaters crisps, trinidad scorpion chilli flavour if you like your spicey food, you might like these
Appetently we all have mountains of pounds hidden away to spend or we are willing to use credit cards to get it done. No thanks unto that, my brother. We know better. I agree with you.
Remember the crisps gazza smith's snaps I loved the tomato flavour ones when I was a lad they were 2p a bag wowzers mate ain't prices hiked dramatically over the years 😮
The local One Stop has them in for £1.50. The Doritos do taste like Taki Fuegos and are a lot cheaper as USA import places tend to charge £5 for the Takis
Hi Gareth, £2.25!!! it is expensive for a bag of crisps heading in to Pringles price. I bet they are nice but not that nice for the price. Catch you soon Take care
Extra flaming expensive Two months ago walkers brought out a new range of watsits crunchy Extra hot and a cheese flavour I bought the cheese flavour and they are delicious also they were £1.75 for 130g I went back a month later (Asda) and they were priced at £2.50 I was absolutely floored by the price hike Iceland sell them at 3 bags for a fiver
Prices are insane I'm a gardener. I like peas I see 12 plants for 3 pound. I buy 250 seads for £1.99 free soil and get 120 plants. Depending on germination levels. Plus the seads are kind of free with certain apps apps that pay gift cards over time. So free food lol

I add a good shake of Worcester sauce maybe a bit of Tabasco and a picked onion or a pickled egg, that’s my crisp heaven.
I like the way you have to dig to the bottom of the bag to get your first crisp out! Never buy crisps, just slice an average potato and fry it, job done.
Hey Gareth , if think they are pricey you should try jumbo Watsits . For a pack of those in Morrisons costs £2.90 , cost of living my arse they dont weigh any more now than they ever did . Its just government taxes mixed with a hint of pure greed & rampant profiteering bud . Lol A
I've had these nice hint of lime I thought the best ones are the extra flaming hot triangle chips very moreish with the hot chilli dip takes them to another level another level if you've a nectar card £1.50 a bag
Not tried the wotsit or the max versions yet, but the dorito 1s were rubbish :/ had such high hopes for em aswell and I assume they're all the same seasoning :/ I will recommend the 2 Seabrooks though... TRINIDAD SCORPION CHILLI & SMOKEHOUSE CAYENNE
I just had a pack of 6 Asda meaty variety ....6x 25g bags. = 150g 2 x smokey bacon, 2 x roast chicken, 2 x beef & onion........ Price?......89p! That is a bargain nowadays----and they were just as good as the main brands.

Another great video, Gareth! But if anyone out there wants a truly great crisp recommendation - Aldi's Fiery Hot Mega Puffs 130g for 99p. You can thank me later. Honestly, they're ridiculously addictively good.
The reason they're so expensive is because it says WALKERS on the packet, overated and overpriced products, just like HEINZ, imo. Keep up the great work with the videos 👍
Heinz products are always decent tbf but yes the TK sauce is a crazy price
Spot on
Heinz products are massively overpriced!
Don't forget walkers have to pay the overated and overpriced Gary Lineker 😛
Heinz gotta be the worst for that
Companies only put to make a packet
My favourite crisps used to be Brannigans Roast Beef and Mustard Flavour Crisps. They tasted amazing! Sadly now no longer made.
Brannigans best ever. All gone now. I loved dorritos with hint of lime for dipping. Stopped them aswell. Do like flaming monster munch aswell lol.
Heard Tesco finest beef and horseradish is supposed to be like brannigans so going try them. Heard some good things.
Brannigans were great crisps......
All their crisps were banging, full of flavour. The ham and pickle ones were lush too.
What about lamb and mint too really nice 😎👌🏼
They target the public to recycle more but not these companies who continue to make bigger packaging with less content, whilst increasing the price. There is absolutely no reason to make the bag twice as big as the contents, but just to fool the buyer.
We all keep falling for it over and over again.
Great video though... as always!
Loved watching this . I don't know about you but I miss Brannigans roast beef and mustard crisps those were out of this world .
thanks
Just finished munching a pack of these. I think they taste like paprika as well. They’re better than the wotsits crunchy version(taste very lemony) but the Doritos are the best version, they taste like Takis. I got these from Asda. For £1.50
Slice a few potatoes really thin, cover in paprika or seasoning of your choice and airfry. Costs hardly anything, no crap and tastes really good.
Great idea! And you'll be getting slices of actual potato, not re-formed scraps, which is what the reviewed product *might* be made of.
That Millenium Falcon was Pac Man in disguise!
My hubby went to put these crisps in our basket last week and I gave him the look of 'are you joking, at that price' and they stayed on the shelf 😂😂

Why I shop at Aldi, no overpriced rubbish
I think I'll give them a miss. Thanks for another honest review 💜💜💜

local one stop shop are selling these for £1.50 a bag, they have all three variants, I'm on my way to the shop now 😋
Great crisp vlog, crispy are so expensive now but still buy them. Can’t beat a crisp sandwich. Yummy,❤
Remember the good old days when a packet of crisps was almost full to the top 😂😂😂 Now they are one third full.
Those Seabrook Scorpion Chilli crisps that appear every now and then in supermarkets are the hottest on the market, for me. I'm alright with spice, but those DO make your head sweat
I can't get enough of them. I'm considering using them as breading for chicken breast.
Yes I was just gonna say this….the ones in the black bag were amazing👍🏼
The extra cost is down to the extra print is has cost them to have EXTRA FLAMIN HOT printed all over the packet.
I liked "I've had cheeses that've made me head sweat"!
haha yes strong cheese does it.
I've had cheeses that've made me head sweat for gouda sake, and that may be brie-lliant!
Love crisps
Overpriced
Best wishes gareth
me too Kizzy, all the best

Loads of cobblers. Food inflation in France has been running at 4 percent, here in the UK it's been more than 30 percent. Have a think about why.
Maybe Gary Linaker can afford Walkers .. I can’t 🤦🏻♀️😂‼️. Best wishes Gareth x

just checked £2.25 ish is the cost across the major store chains
Garth not a lot of thought gone in to that review did Uber Eats drop them crisps round.
You should try the new walkers sensations. Mature cheddar and chilli chutney. They just came out recently. 👍
Ooh, they sound good! I'll be keeping an eye out for them myself! Thanks for the recommendation 👍🏽
Better not comment my opinion as it will certainly get blocked by RUclips, suffice to say thanks for another informative review 😊👍

Nice one Gary , you know your movies as I do with the reference to the Millennium Eagle from Star Trek 😂
I know what you mean Chiquittos spicy chilli was anything but. We had to ask for extra spice but they said it was cooked for a level of normal clients
Asda have them for £1.50. That'll go up soon enough, though.
Appreciate you reviewing these bald fella, wanted to try them but put off by the price. At least I know not to bother now 👍
Seabrook's have just released their Trinidad scorpion chilli crisps
That price! I haven't been near Walkers since Linekar went off the deep end, so no skin off my nose.
Used to get Tudor crisps up my way - they were usually almost stale by the time we got them - my theory was that the shops kept them in storage until close to the sell-by date and then sell them at full price - and they were invariably half a packet!
Their beef line wasn’t selling, so they repackaged them as “hedgehog flavour!”.
Have you also noticed that the only flavours of crisps that are suitable for vegetarians are the meat-flavoured ones?
Used to live in north east when I was a child Tudor did some amazing flavours best ones were bovril and pickled onion
I got some last week still waiting for the heat

Hey Gareth, they're on offer at Sainsbury's, £1.60 a bag with a Nectar card. Might be worth trying the Doritos extra flaming hot. I think they're on offer too at Sainsbury's.
In Canada, most bags of chips (Crisps) are $4.49-$5.49. That would be $2.61 to $3.20 pounds. Hard to afford food here!
I cannot understand why I am watching someone eating a bag of crisps. Oh yeah, it's because of Gareth. He makes eating anything interesting !!!
haha cheers
Gareth, thanks, but I'll stick to Aldi, maybe not as good for some as walkers but a lot cheaper
Thats a shame but its not surprising. Walkers dont seem to manage anything hot and spicy.
Nando's used to make crisps that you could get in supermarket's and they were so good. Proper spicy and a fabulous flavour. 😚🔥
I remember when these large bags were around £1.50 but nearly always on offer for a £1. I would only buy if they were on offer for a £1 😂I refuse to pay more than a quid for crisps 👍
Bought some in tesco today for £1.50, which is a bit nearer the mark.
I just bought some from Sainsburys, £1.50 with a necter card, about as hot as i can handle tbh, just about right.
Or a one chip challenge be brilliant 🔥👍👌
I've done it on the channel
Do a new one mate,, double pack 👍🤣
They do the wotsits in the same package and also dorito's, both on offer in Tesco for £1.50

I do like their hot chicken wings pack. But the rest ? Not so much.
At over 2 quid a pack ? yeah, it’s a rip off.
I do buy crisps now and then, but I just buy a six pack of ready salted. I add a good shake of Worcester sauce maybe a bit of Tabasco and a picked onion or a pickled egg, that’s my crisp heaven.

In my local food warehouse its £2.25 for a bag of six, or you can buy four packets for £7.
