My brother was a ref for a couple of fights (not a ufc fight) and since he was new at it big john helped him. I was too young to remember much but i remember him for sure. He's a nice guy.

Back in the early UFCs, fighters were not guaranteed insurance/health care from SEG. It also didn't help that families could not sue if a fighter died as a result from a fight. As Keith Hackney once put it, "They basically owned you."

I used to work for Big John's sister...Sheri Anderson married to Chris Anderson....they were both sheriff's...his sister is a bad a$$! They used to live in lakewood California..some dude broke into their house and Sheri man handled that dude all by herself....the company they owned wss called So Cal parking and security.....good times.
