THANKs , i would like to use Kotobee, but i am not sure if it works! Some Questions 1)So far i wrote my ebook as single .html page! I integreated pictures, and on some pictures i have links to videos as mp4! I resised all pictures xxx_r.jpg and i also have the full sized pictures. The .html file and all the images and videos are all in ONE SINGLE FOLDER! Can i import this html file into Kotobee?? 2)When i import it, will stay my files all in this folder or will that be changed into any invisible databases? So that i can do nothing when anything goes wrong? 3)Is Kotobee really free??? And portable? Or are there reclementations when i want to export my book as html, pdf or ebup which i have to pay??? Can i even sell my book without have to use Kotobee clients or anything like that????? 4)I also used textmarker function in "Kompozer" (my html wysiwyg Editor). I highligted and underlined text with multible colors. Is this also possible in Kotobee? And can i disable my underlined and highlighted text when i export the book? 5)As i said i integrated many pictures! I have always the resized picture xxxx_r.jpg and the xxxx.jpg picture. Sometimes there should be a link to a mp4 video (offline in the relative folder) and if it finds no video in there, then it should use a alternative link to youtube etc.! Is this possible? Or if there is no link on the picture to a video, then it should open the "large" picture xxxx.jpg if someone does a klick. Please help , i am really not sure!
Thanks for your questions. 1) At the moment we don't have an automated HTML import function. But you can see the source code of any chapter and paste your HTML there. Using the File Manager you can upload your own CSS and JS files. 2) We do not like to lock anything away from you. You have entire flexibility to the structure of the ebook (EPUB) through the File Manager. 3) Yes Kotobee Author is free, if you are exporting to the standard formats (pdf, epub). If you are exporting as a web app (with our reader embedded) it will just show a small watermark for Kotobee. You can get rid of this by purchasing the Basic License from our website (pricing page). 4) Yes in the web app of your ebook you can highlight and take notes. 5) Well if you can program it in Javascript then it will work. Can I change a reflowable layout into a fixed layout after I put all my content in? And if yes how?
Hello! Unfortunately that won't be possible. The layout can only be chosen before creating the chapter.
