Nightwish Army south Brittany France reporting. This is Toumas's story, very emotional, this and dead boys poem can make me cry. We love you Toumas. That's the part, Emppu's solo, chokes me.
This is a man I would love to have an evening around a campfire with... The conversations would be deep and highly enjoyable! Emppu may be tiny but he has my greatest respect.

Welcome back to Nightwish! 🤘❤ "Wrote for the eclipse, wrote for the virgin, died for the beauty, the one in the garden." References to earlier Nightwish songs.
Basically, this song is the result of Tuomas asking himself, if I were to die tomorrow, what would I want my last words be to my family, friends, fans, and haters. It’s a self eulogy, It was also written during the Tarja era of Nightwish, so it predates Poet and if anything Poet is slightly related to this song. :) Nah, you didn’t butcher this, you were pretty close to the meaning behind the song even if you were a little off on the specifics and chronology. Glad to see you back on some Nightwish.
At 4:47 "This!" Sums it all up. The ultimate shot, capturing Floor in all her empath glory as she's reaching out to every single member in the audience. Who wouldn't miss that? There's another masterful shot of her final outcry where she spreads her arms tt heavens while the child (in Tuomas) mirrors her gesture, looking backward in Janus-like fashion. This!: 13:38 Cheers from Amsterdam! 🤘
My favorite Nightwish song, sooo beautiful and touching❣️ If only my heart had a home…… 🥹 And Floor’s stage presence is so subtle and mega powerful! ❤ It’s Tuomas’ message he wanted to leave to the world whenever

Seems an age Viking! Good to see you back. Good you got to see them live too. Notes and comments from the band: Tuomas': "Dead Boy's Poem' featured a child's voice. "I had an idea of a song with a young boy boy reciting reciting a poem", Tuomas says. "The trouble was that no Finnish so I had to find a 12-year-old could pronounce English so that it sounded right, so I had to find a native speaker to do it. My mother's Sister, actress Miitta Sorvali, knew [the English-Finnish director and writer] Neil Hardwick well, and my mum remembered that Neil had a son called Sam. I called him and asked him to do the poem, and Sam agreed right away. It was just funny that when I talked to this 15-year-old boy he seemed like such a citizen of the worldand was actually familiar with our band too. Sam sa is d he'd be free to record the poem anytime; I'd just have to give him a call. He even knew where Finnvox was and promised to meet us there. The professionalism of young Sam Hardwick made a deep impression on Tuomas. "When he arrived at the studio, had to ask him to wait for ten minutes or so and he just pulled a book from his pocket and sat down to read". Tuomas says, " I gave him the poem, and he read it through a few times. We did some editing and Sam just sat down on the studio floor and read his book, after which I asked him to read the poem a couple of more times."

It is almost always about Tuomas. Tuomas wrote this song at age 22, just after Nightwish really took off big time. He felt the band had cut his childhood short or at least ended it. He is mourning his childhood-self because the boy Tuomas no longer exists (Dead Boy). At the same time the burden of running a multi-million dollar company, being the band leader, write songs even better than the last is weighing heavy on him. And yet, he feels it is wrong to complain about this, because het got exactly what he wished for. He is living his dream.
Ah, it was basically the first thing that came to mind when I heard that specific line. But yes, i do get the eulogy written for himself thing. Deep... but what else to expect from Tuomas ;)
No, it was a question. I was wondering if that is what he meant when he wrote this. By now I know how much the situation had affected him so it isn't too far fetched to wonder if that is what he meant. You didn't hear the question in my voice?
Oh btw... not that I really care if you see me as a fraud but I like to give you the benefit of the doubt and explain. What I do when I look down or to the side is focus on audio only as my ADHD brain won't let me focus on singular issues otherwise. I also have 3 screens so if I wanted to look at notes or lyrics or whatever... there would be easier ways.
Basically Tuomas eas saying if he died tomorrow this would be his letter where he puts how he feels. It is his most personal song

🤗🍒🤘🏻Well done but I think you say at a time that the Tarja is but of course it is Floor !
Of course! But I was referring to something being said in the lyrics ;)
You should listen "Little drummer boy" from Pentatonix, an oldie but a goodie!
I'm planning on doing a whole lot of their songs during a very specific month ;)
@@VikingReacts That's great! Looking forward to see it❤
🤩👌💥💯🎼
🤘😎 🇫🇮 💙
Welcome back to Nightwish , we missed you. You mentioned Tarja in that verse NOPE . This is Tuomas's eulogy in a song . being a miss understood child
Ah, it was basically the first thing that came to mind when I heard that specific line. But yes, i do get the eulogy written for himself thing. Deep... but what else to expect from Tuomas ;)
Heerlijk weer nightwish en ben zelf meer home free fan dan pentatonix😮
Staat er ook nog 1 in de pijpleiding ;)
.. my friend you must be joking us, they took the original masterpiece and gave this? .... it's just a good song, this version and nothing more....
Please, no insinuation about Tuomas' romantic feelings towards Tarja... thats so nonsencical
That was not my intention nor will it ever be
@@VikingReacts no, i know. Just bored with that stuff, didnt mean you meant that
Oh, no worries. Just a habit of mine. Some people see it as me defending myself whilst I just try to explain myself :P
Really, Tarja?? WTF? Thumbs down. You guys really thinking that in that time period Tarja was only woman in Finland. so it just have to be her.
No, it was a question. I was wondering if that is what he meant when he wrote this. By now I know how much the situation had affected him so it isn't too far fetched to wonder if that is what he meant. You didn't hear the question in my voice?
Viewing down
See through u 😂😂
Viewing down? What do you mean? Onto my desk/keyboard?
Oh btw... not that I really care if you see me as a fraud but I like to give you the benefit of the doubt and explain. What I do when I look down or to the side is focus on audio only as my ADHD brain won't let me focus on singular issues otherwise. I also have 3 screens so if I wanted to look at notes or lyrics or whatever... there would be easier ways.
I think he/she is pointing at problem with your green screen
Chill dude just having a giggle 😂😂👍
@@harrisonj0679 One never knows on RUclips ;)
