Your home will look awesome by the time your done with it ! It's funny cause I was just setting here thinking about painting an old lamp that I have . We have gone through an painted every room in our home . I'm so tickled with how it turned out . We used the same 3 colors all through the house . So now I feel like I have a new home and get to redecorate everything! So instead of new lamps ! PAINT !!! and they will be " New " to me all over again !!!!

Good afternoon Christina, the day bed turned out so inviting! Love the blue you used, and the white wax worked well, it was interesting how the wax showed the detail of the metal. Whomever is going to stay over will have a great sleep in that cosy bed. The crackle look on the furniture transformed it totally. Loved the new technique. Lamps are quite an important feature in a room, and I love how they can throw light onto furniture and walls. It make an astonishing difference to a room in comparison with just lighting with a main light feature from the ceiling. It was a good video and it went to quickly I was so interested at the paint techniques, suddenly it was the end of the video. Loved how the hairy kids romped about the garden. Take care, be alert. Are there times when you’d use the water mixture instead of glaze? What makes that determination? Thank you for sharing your lovely talents and time!
Actually glaze is much easier to use and I get a longer working time with it. I usually prefer glaze over water for this reason. 🎨🙏❤️

Great job with the day bed and the lamp Christina! Maybe you’d like to know that I had some AS original wall paint left over and I mixed it with AS Tilton chalk paint. I used it over primed laminate and.. IT WORKED FINE! 😊🎉

Christina, I just chalk painted my French provential China cabinet which had gold trim after putting on the clear glaze where the gold was it turned GREEN!!! 😭 HELP ! What to do now?
Hi Diane! Everything is fixable not to panic. It sounds like the gold trim had a reaction to the glaze and patina out. Probably had a copper base to the gold trim. One way to fix this is to finish your glaze, once dry use painters tape around the gold trim and then apply gold gilding wax to replace the gold trim. Another way is if you really want a gold look is do the same with the painters tape and then use gold leaf glue and reapply strips of gold leaf to the areas of the green gold. I hope this helps!
