Abby Phillip;I am not using Dr. Suffix with his name because there will be shame by using dr with his name.
He is the culprit who misguide people my saying anti about ayurved because he doesn't know his sciences well.
He thinks he will defame ayurved and will destroy it, but he don't know so many grt evils came and go and tries to defame ayurved but they couldn't destroy a hair of ayurved.
So i think he is the present (Bakhtiyar Khilji) who tries to destroy ayurved. 😊

You are a silver lining in the Indian medical science!!! Thanks Doc.
Keep growing and n u've my ultra support.
One of the reason people started believing these pseudoscience medical things is because they got a bad experience from medical doctors who were just paper doctors and not the ones with good knowledge and practice because of high corruption in private medical colleges.

I agree with the corruption part. It's sad that everyone protests about everything else, but nobody questions their state and the central governments for reducing the corruption in our healthcare system. Basic healthcare based on modern medicine should be affordable and accessible for all Indians.

For people who don't know about trials, every disease or search for a cause starts with a hypothesis. The study starts with describing the details about the disease. Followed by Randomized controlled trials which is the studies done on patients. When a lot of such studies are conducted, they can be analysed by Researchers to make a "Systematic Review" and "Metanalysis"
What sir is saying is absolutely true only because Metanalysis is the study that has been guiding science since ages. Research has come this far because of science. Ofcourse the ancient roots are important, but when science proves something it has to be unbiased and accepted just as we accept other things.
This concept sir is saying is absolutely Novel. This approach is new. I think it needs to be supported. Nobody is saying that Indian ancient medicine doesn't have it's benefits. But we also need to trust our doctors and Researchers with the same.
P.S.: Anyone abusing him should watch the video full and know that he isn't against turmeric if it is useful. Do not judge by the start of the video.

Dr Abby, You may be correct. 6:10 Only 5% of consumed turmeric is getting absorbed. But, I have seen cold getting cured by consuming organic turmeric (dose: 1/3rd teaspoon in 2/3rd glass of water) in water in myself, my family members & my students.
Thanks, One thing I learnt today. I shall add black pepper Now onwards.
By the way, A German Oncologist using turmeric-derived curcumin extract in chemotherapy. He mentioned this in his talk & 2022 book, Holistic cancer medicine.
So, It feels OK to consume organic 8:22 turmeric for 1) Improving Immunity 2) prevention and management of pre-cancerous conditions.
A Humble request, Kindly do 22:22 first hand objective study FIRST on people suffering from cold

One additional Note, I got spec during 1st year of MBBS. But, I was not liking it. Whenever I saw a specially-able person using crutches, I felt, I am using one on my eyes. By, Practice of #Yoga I got rid of it.
During my residency, I learnt Acupressure reluctantly on insistence of a friend. But, When i tried on different people, I saw good results in many people.
So, I switched to Full time on Yoga & #Acupuncture after 3 years of part-time #acupressure & acupuncture practice.
[Acupressure and Acupuncture has some theory. Only treatment method differs in them. Acupuncture work even if meridians are not proved in main stream except one study. Dr Richard Gerber mention that in his book, Vibrational Medicine. ]
Your dedication towards science is appreciable.

Hi doctor! I have 2 questions and will really appreciate if i get a reply
    1. Does fresh raw turmeric juice has any benefit? In my state (assam), traditionally fresh turmeric juice mixed with honey or milk for muscle pain and fresh turmeric juice mixed with ginger and pepper for cold etc are often used. Doses are generally in the range of 1 to 2 tbs twice daily. Is the juice of turmeric and powder the same?
    2. In Assam we have a tradition of having some form of a dish which will have cooking soda or a liquid alkaline derived from banana peel ash. Usually these dishes are made of green papaya or cucumber along with fish head and a lot of soda or alkaline water in it. Nothing else are added in the dish other than ginger and salt for taste. Tradition says it cleanses the gut and since we are primarily non vegetarians, we must have this side dish once a week. While green papaya, cucumber and fish are fine, does consuming soda or the alkaline water do any good or it might harm in the long run?
    Thanks

Please note: Doctors PRACTICE medicine. Please focus on the word PRACTICE....No one is sure Ayurvedic or Allopathic. Just live a stress free life and pray to the Almighty.

I would like to request pro - turmeric doctors/ scientists to publish/ do research . It should be based on valid statistical tools and guidelines for medical research.

See liver doc..... Again reiterating..... You are providing ample research questions.... Great going..... But that only proves that turmeric should be taken up for research even more......
