Age of strings on the two guitars? The L-7 a bit brighter-but that could be newer strings than the Blackstone’? The Epiphone’ is more warmer mid punch. All around I like the Epiphone. I’m my years of experience- mid to low low end Epiphones- beat out Mid-Low end Gibsons
@@jaikwillis yeah they both sound good. The lower laminated Back Epiphone’s seem to have little more percussive quality. The fully carved like L-7’ Broadways etc have more clarity

Blackstone is a low end Epi
L7 was top of the line
The L7 to me is far more articulate & resonant.

L7 sounds much like a "gipsy" swing guitar. With Epiphone one might even do the accompaniment (country & western).
