I got an S10e used (with a new battery) a while back for about 1800SEK. Upgraded from an S7 and didn't want a big phone. I have been very happy with it ("small", decent screen/processor and expandable storage is big for me). Simultaneously tried the Xperia 5ii but it just felt heavy and big, despite being just slightly bigger, so chose the S10e over that (this is about the same size and weight as the S7). Downsides so far has been the battery (though far better than the crapped out one on my old phone; that was way worse so I've learned to live with it) and the fingerprint scanner (too sensitive; doesn't scan properly if my hands are wet). Other than that a great phone in a PROPER SIZE. Phones have zero reason to be bigger than this imho; this is plenty big. If it's any bigger I almost consider it a tablet... Why would you need to go bigger? Does everyone have bad eyesight? Why these 6 inch, heavy af things in your pockets? Some people may have big hands but I don't (and I'm a man so I don't get how women do it; I guess the lug around purses all the time or always have it in the hand instead of keeping it in the back pocket?). Companies need to make more phones in the style of these.
I recently bought a brand new S10e (due to its size) for under $300 (coming from a 5 year old Xperia compact). Spent a few more dollars for a 128gb SD card, another few $ for wireless charging dock. I never worry about space and phone running out of battery. It's been very nice so far. So what if it won't go past Android 12? For 99% of the apps, you don't need the latest OS. This phone can easily last for another two to three years for me, at which point I will look for the next smallest phone to buy, probably S22 at a much cheaper price. If you want a smaller phone and you don't need the latest and greatest, this is the way to go b/c phones are just keep getting bigger and bigger. Very annoying.
Having took the plunge and bought a new S10e, the second one I've owned since I had traded in my original one a couple years ago...a choice I've regretted to this day. Now a lot cheaper, even brand new, I got the 256GB model with 8GB of RAM. It took a few days, but I had received a windfall of sequential updates and eventually Android upgrades. I sat back, upgraded to Android 11 and went right on past it to Android 12. And honestly, the way it performs, I stand by what I once said about flagship smartphones specs peaking with the S10 series. Oh sure, the processor speeds continue to get supplemental upgrades, but the average person likely won't really notice it in their day to day use. In short, the S10e feels like it could've been released in 2022 without anyone noticing the difference between it and the current competition. Best of all, I get a headphone jack and microSD card slot. Of course, my main reason for getting it was the form factor. And, at least for me, the battery gets me through the whole day with even moderate use. The only real con that reminds me that this phone is indeed NOT a 2022 phone is its slower charging speed. @@Kizarat I'd watch out with the Zenfone, it has a lot of software issues, mainly one being ramdump. Which renders your phone basically useless. I'd say at least 3/5 zenfone 8's experience this problem. It's a well known issue in the zenfone community with no solution apparently, ASUS knows this is a problem but they are very stubborn to fix the issue, so tread carefully with the Zenfone. I would personally go for 12 mini.
Does the s10e still have good performance as the s10 plus? I’m thinking of getting the s10e because I don’t want a necessarily big phone but I want one that can perform good while gaming. Should I get the s10e or the s10 plus? Is the s10e powerful enough that I can get good frames in competitive games (like pubg, Fortnite). Hey so i'm quite unsettled on my choice but should i get the s10e for 190$ and get the 13 mini next year since it's going to be cheaper or get the 12 mini instead of the s10e for 390$ ?
Yeah but no headphone jack, no Samsung pay, no capacitive fingerprint sensor, no charger in the box, and massive throttling because the chip runs too hot. And no expandable storage.
@@michaelcorcoran8768 I'm aware of the (painful) shortcomings, but my last 2 phones didn't have a headphone jack nor expandable storage. It was a little annoying for sure, but I just coped with it. How is the battery life treating you? I have a tough time deciding between a used S10e and a Pixel 4a
@@thomato981 - It's not like it was when it was brand new... The S10e has a relatively small battery, so you'll charge it more, especially after 3 years like now... I carry an external battery when I know I won't be near an outlet... However, I'm not sure how it would compare to a P4a... Remember a P4a came with a Snapdragon 730, so it probably uses less power than the 855 does in the S10e... I'm not sure of the specs though, whenever Google releases something with the "a" designation, other than their cameras usually being cutting edge just like the beginning of each model year...
I'm trying to decide between the ASUS Zenfone 8, the iPhone SE 2022 and iPhone 12 mini but the headphone jack on the Zenfone 8 is so compelling. What do you think?
Zen 8
@@matthews-tech What would be your reason? Just asking for confirmation lol.
S22 is comparable in size
How's thermal performance?
And battery life?
What's the name of this blue thème pls ??
s10e or pixel 4a? Just getting a refurb. Essentially a filler phone.
How are the 4 icons in your home screen also all in color blue? Mine still bears their original icon colors. How to?
Settings, color palette, choose something u like and select apply palette to app icons
You should check out the moto g100
Does the s10e still have good performance as the s10 plus? I’m thinking of getting the s10e because I don’t want a necessarily big phone but I want one that can perform good while gaming. Should I get the s10e or the s10 plus? Is the s10e powerful enough that I can get good frames in competitive games (like pubg, Fortnite). I know this was shown in the video but I’d like to hear from a commentor that has owned the phone before.
Si, sin embargo por la batería es mejor que te vayas por el s10 plus
S10e battery life should be better even compared to Iphone X/XS not to mention Iphone SE 2020 (if all phones batteries would be new of course)
Great content 👍🏿
I been thinking of getting one now is 2923 off Amazon
Watching on my galaxy note 10 plus back up phone
Supports voLTE?
Hey so i'm quite unsettled on my choice but should i get the s10e for 190$ and get the 13 mini next year since it's going to be cheaper or get the 12 mini instead of the s10e for 390$ ?
Depends on if you want android or ios🤷🏽♀️
The 12 mini is a bit too small for my taste.
@@noreenn6976 yea i ended up getting the s10e worth every single penny to this day
get a s10e on back market, its refirbished tho
i just buy a s10e and am very happy but instagram just crashes.what should i do

Nice!
Why your voice sounds like Chris from Family Guys?
Just updated my s10e to android 12 and the battery is draining like nothing. Anyone have any advice?
Even after the update there are processes running in the background for a few days
It should resolve itself.
hate those huge phones..I will keep buying NOS phones until I cant..
s10e or iphone 11
Is a note 10+ opened box for $420 a good price?
Yes that’s about right.
It's not open box. It's used
Don't trust that spec. Bcs nobody gives you any warranty. Don't be naive
Samsung s10 or S10e or Poco X3 Pro btw I watched ur reviews of the phones I listed
S10
Thank you bro
@@matthews-tech how much bigger is the S10 compared to the S10e?
I want that music
Luckily the s22 is almost the same size body as the s10e (the s22 is just 4mm taller). So maybe that's where I'll be going when my s10e dies
I don't know if there will still be any viable phones with those features by the time I'm ready to upgrade, though. Aside from that, l love the look of the s22, I love how small it is, and I already have a couple of USB PD chargers anyway. Always nice to get one, but there's a 99% chance I'll be buying the s22 (or any phone) used. I was just lucky the guy I bought this from still had the charger. Final point is that I love Samsung's software features like Bixby routines (which still work after killing Bixby through adb), charging limit, and Samsung Dex.
@@maxpaynethe3rdthe1st How long you using this device and how is your Screen on Time (SOT) in a single charge?
@@funizhere8691 bought it used-like-new. The previous guy barely used it since the phone had been booted up only 8 times before I got it. I've had it for 2 months now, snapdragon version. Screen time is 5-6½ hours over a 20-ish hour period. Medium to light usage. Texting, RUclips (1080p or 1440), scrolling socials, anime (1080p), maybe some gaming (like half an hour), web browsing... That stuff.
And I'm on Android 12 now so I use the 85% battery limit feature. I'd get an extra hour or so if I use the extra 15% of the battery.
@@michaelcorcoran8768 Hi. What do you mean by no Samsung Pay? That's available on all Samsung phones with either NFC or MST capability... Recent Samsungs have ditched MST, though.
Is S22 a good enough upgrade?
Si
we will never get a small flagship, check how many iPhone 13 mini Apple has sold
