Oh i love this show, David Tennant and Michael Sheen are so great, their chemistry is amazing! Really hope you continue will the other 5 episodes especially episode 3!
This particular episode , and the title of the show, is a parody of the very successful 1976 horror film "The Omen" where satanic nuns swap the baby Antichrist with an American diplomat's son, with the son being named Damien, who is then raised by a satanic nanny. Of course in the horror film the switching of the babies goes off without a hitch unlike in "Good Omens". There is also a nice little Dr Who connection between "Good Omens" which stars the tenth Doctor David Tennant who is trying to stop Armageddon and the 1976 horror film "The Omen" where the second Doctor Patrick Troughton plays a priest Father Brennan who tries to warn the American Diplomat about the Antichrist and thus stop Armageddon (though, this being a horror film, he fails and is killed in a fairly spectacular manner).
The most unbelievable thing about _Good Omens_ is that anyone in politics would accept the name "Warlock" for their child. Everything else is believable.

It really sucks they didn't react to the whole thing. :( This show is severely underrated and more people should react to s1 and s2
In the book. Aziraphale was the one who suggested killing the boy, not Crowley
Which was weirdly out of character.
@@aldiascholarofthefirstsin1051 to be fair, the book personalities differ in many ways from the screen adaption.
@@apollosperineum
No i meant it was out of character compared to his other actions in the book.
Wonderful! I really hope you continue this series.
You guys should REALLY finish the series. You seemed to enjoy a lot of the first episode.
This was a limited series based on a book. It wasn't meant to have any more seasons.
And yet there will be more....
@@daffy8995 Yep, filming season 2 now.
@@wereleopard58yepihavetwo2 No fucking way,
@@panicgwny They finished filming a week or so ago.

Brilliant script by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman such different kind of humour
Now would be a great time to pick back up the series since season 2 just came out!
Jon Hamm was so great in this
Got exited when I saw this, sad you didn't finish the show
It's a little slow at times but overall very good. I love David Tennant and Michael Sheen.
