This was filmed entirely on McEntire land and that’s her mama driving the truck and reading the Bible with her up on the mountain! Such classy ladies❤️
Billy had the same reaction I did when I first heard this song.I had a lump in my throat, tried to swallow, eyes became misty, and I started to cry. When a great performer sings from the heart, their emotions come through to the listener, and you begin to feel the grief and sorrow in their heart. The video was originally in tribute to Reba's father,Clark McEntire, who passed away in 2014.However,Reba's mother,Jackie, who appeared in the video, passed away seven years later..So the video has become a tribute to them both. What a beautiful song from an even more beautiful singer.
She dedicated this song to her late father. She recorded this song before her daddy pass but shortly after she finished recording this song he passed away. He never got to hear this song. He will definitely would of been proud of her.
Reba's 2019 Album Stronger than the Truth had one very special song she recorded for her mama called "You never gave up on me" that song hits hard. Very emotional. You should listen to that one please.
You should do “cowgirls don’t cry” by Brooks and Dunn with Reba
Yes thatis the best version of this song!
She has such a powerful, distinctive voice. Beautiful song, thank you
Horses are very important in Reba’s life. “ Reba Nell McEntire was born on March 28, 1955, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to a family of champion steer ropers. While growing up, McEntire and her three siblings spent time traveling to and from their father's world championship rodeo performances. ”” she was also a successful barrel racer herself and videos are online of her showing off her skills.
Reba actually heard this song before her father passed but knew he didn't have long. She knew the lyrics fit perfectly and told songwriters Liz Hengber and Tommy Lee James she wanted to record if for her father's funeral. The personal touches like the name of the mountain where he lived were added. It is definitely a heart-breaker. The video was filmed on the McEntires' family ranch: land acquired over the years from Clark McEntire's rodeo days. It is truly a work heart.
Cowgirls don't cry by Brooks and Dunn features Reba Macentire
Billy say it like this.... Reba MACK IN TIRE ... haha ❤️your reactions Tennessee
Brooks & Dunn - Cowgirls Don't Cry (Featuring Reba McEntire ...
She wrote this right after she lost her dad. Her mom is in this video with her. She just lost her mom on March 14th but had to delay the funeral because of the quarantine. Having lost both of my parents, dad expectedly from terminal cancer in 2006 and mom unexpectedly from a subdural hematoma in 2016, I can tell you with all honesty that you literally feel like a piece of you has been ripped away. My dads death didn’t affect me as much as mom’s death probably because it was expected, but there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of them and wish they were here to talk to.
Debi Christley may you find peace...some day. God bless ya.
I lost my dad when I was 22 and my mom when I was 32 (and I'm 52 now) and I still miss them. I'll miss them until the day they put me in the ground.
I still have my mom but my dad had cancer he was only fifthy its. Been eight years it still hurts
I’m so very sorry for your losses.. I know the pain of losing a parent unexpectedly, a pain that is indescribable. Prayers for your heart. God bless you 🇺🇸🙏❤️🐥🐥🐥
Yes my parents is gone am i 27 year old sister got killed I would love him to play In the Arms of an Angel that's what we played at her funeral by Sarah McLachlan the song sounds just like her
As someone who lost their dad when they were 6 years old when he was on his way to get them and their brother for Father's day weekend, this Father's Day Weekend will be 11 years since he passed. "This Hit Home "
"Still" by Reba...the official video. All the feels.
She loved her parents so much and, just lost her momma last month.
I love this song so much. Thank you for doing this one. Love Reba 💘
Try "Cowgirls don't Cry" by Brooks and Dunn ft. Reba McEntire
This was filmed at the family ranch where she grew up. That is her mom in the video.
I thought she said at the beginning it was a family friends farm but that's where she was raised
Reba is second to none in the country industry and she is who I look up to most when it comes to music
Back in January of 2017 my grandmother was put in the hospital for heart trouble. A couple days later while still there, I was visiting and she asked me to bring her DNR paperwork the next time I came back. Immediately, I had to try to hold back tears. I kissed her cheek and hugged her and told her I loved her and started for home. While driving home, this song came on my RUclips playlist. My eyes filled with tears. I was so scared that I was going to lose her. She will make 90 years this year and still this song breaks my heart. She’s still here on earth but I know my time on earth with her is short. We almost lost her a couple weeks ago. 😢😢
She is so amazing. I love ALL Reba songs!
I lost my dad in 2018 and my mom in 2020 a.d this song has me bawling!!! Right now I'm missing them both terribly. Thank God for still having my stepdad!!
I LOVE Reba but I hadn’t heard this one... And now I’m crying like a baby! 😭
NocturnalVixen think this makes your screen blurry? Try to listen to Cowgirls don't cry like some others mentioned here with her buddies Brooks&Dunn, Ronnie Dunn wrote it
This made me cry! When my husband died in 2006, after he fought as hard and as long as he could with cancer, I kissed his cheek and told him I loved him and was going to miss him so much and he just let go and was gone. I wasn't looking forward to my life without him but I knew he wasn't going to be in that pain anymore! There's worse things than missing someone .
Carolyn Ryals God Bless!
Oh my gosh, I love this song, even though it makes me ugly cry. I lost my Dad 12 years ago, but I remember every sight and sound from that day. I will see him again, that makes the pain bearable.
Thank you for sharing, beautifully and lovely done!!! Your a very nice man to show your emotion to Reba's song. Touching, 🎙🎶💜❤🎤⚘🐎🙏🦋
This is definitely a dedication to her dad. He was an old cowboy from all accounts I've read/heard.
Kitt Crescendo her whole family grew up riding.
she grew up on a working cattle ranch and her daddy was just about as cowboy as you could get
Reba always sings song with a lot of emotions
Reba and my family are from the same town, Kiowa Oklahoma, my mom graduated with her brother, my uncle graduated with her. We have rodeo's and street dances in the area and in local towns. We would go to as many as we can, and every time Reba's parents were always there either sitting in their lawn chairs or dancing with each other. They were so sweet and loving. Us locals all respect them and treated them no different than we did before Reba became famous. Sadly her mom passed away from cancer last month her name was Jacqueline.
I’m sobbing. My uncle died a couple of months ago and you never real know how much you love them until there gone.
There's a reason Reba's had a 40+ year career in country music and she can still rip your heart out when she sings.
A really good Reba song is “Somebody’s Chelsea” give it a listen❤️
i love that song and the fact that es asner is in it makes it better.
i was playing it at my gramma’s house and my aunt walked in and pretended to cry while saying “I just wanna be somebody’s chelsea!!”
I lost both my parents. One in 2001 and 2019. Miss them both but I'm doing real good. They both raise me well.
My Grandpa Doc passed when I was in 5th grade. Grandma Verna passed 10 years ago. My first thought when Grandma passed was, "she's back with Grandpa and they're in Heaven's casino having a Bloody Mary and playing the slots". I'll be honest, I was relieved when Grandma passed. She battled cancer and was in pain every day. My cousin John sang at her funeral and I swear I saw Grandma and Grandpa in the next pew over listening. It was beautiful.
when she sang “he said chockie mountain is calling me” i burst into tears because she grew up in chockie oklahoma and this was actually filmed entirely on her family’s ranch in chockie. that was her mama- jacqueline mcentire driving the truck and sitting, reading the bible with reba on that log.
just after she recorded this song her daddy died so he never actually got to hear the song but she played it at his funeral.
The fact that you can hear her breathing heavy throughout the song definitely doesn’t help when i’m already crying
I’ve not heard this one yet... I’m crying like a baby, having my daddy cross over unexpectedly, I can relate. Gosh, I sure miss him. Excellent reaction, as most of the time. God bless you, Billy. 🇺🇸🙏❤️🐥🐥🐥
Turn On The Radio - Reba McEntire
And, would love to see your reaction to Reba's performance of Does He Love You on the CMA's in 1993
i've always loved this song and the story behind it, but it's even more bittersweet now that her Mama has passed as well.
Definitely recommend Stone by Ashley McBryde!! It’s dedicated to her late brother. Incredible song.
Oh, I hadn't heard this one until now. It's beautiful. Doesn't she make you love Country music?
Storm in a Shot Glass, Cactus in a Coffee Can, so many from her album including the title song, Stronger Than the Truth. I have only seen lyrics in videos, not actual song representations of them yet... Reba rules!
Your Reba McEntire's Just Like Them Horses was great. You were really brave. It always makes me tear up. Try her Somehow You Do. Be careful, it is a sad one.
I’ve learned the hard way that no one is promised a tomorrow and sometimes there are no words when you say goodbye ...sometimes the tears that flow down your cheeks in that moment carry the words and feelings from your soul that your unable to say... and all you can do is hold there hand and be present with them in that moment and that’s all they need
Oh my God, I hadn't heard this one before and now I'm standing here cooking supper and crying like a fool. My dad passed away three years ago; he was only 49. (Fucking cancer.) This hit me really hard.
This was filmed on her mom and dad's 8,000 acre working cattle ranch, where she grew-up with her 1 brother and 2 sisters (one of her sisters is an award-winning gospel singer), near Chocki mountain (like the song says - "I'm gonna walk up Cocki mountain").
That was her real mother.
She only sang this song once, to record it; and then they played it at her dad's funeral---she said she could never sing it again, without crying.
Her dad died in 2014 from complications from a stroke.
Her mother died just this past March, 2020, from cancer---because Reba's faith in God is so strong, she knows her momma and Daddy are together in heaven, and that she'll see them again.
I love Reba I have all her CD some day I want to meet her.
Her mom passed away on March 14th this year from cancer she was 93 years old
Hey Billy! How about Lee Ann Womack's "I'll think of a reason later"? Love to see that one! 😁😁😁
I love Reba.
Never heard this one so glad I discovered it.
This song is from her "Love Somebody" album released back in 2015. Her recent album "Stronger than the Truth" came out in 2019. She released a gospel album in between those two albums as well.
This song....... I was 10 when I lost my "dad" he died 6 months after his colon cancer diagnosis ... my biological father was in and out of my life growing up except this man who I did call dad ..when he died he took a piece of me with him.... years later I've begun to repair the relationship with my biological father ... and I'm moving on the 5th of may to help him...he was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago and he is terrified to die alone .. he told me that he understood if I didnt want to help him because of him being in and out of my life growing up ...I told him at the end of the day he is my father and I'll do what I can for him and that he wont have to face it alone ...I feel like the past is repeating itself .... and let me tell you ...it is never ever easy saying goodbye to a parent...you can try and prepare yourself but it is never easy and is one of the hardest things you will ever do ..but something we all will face one day
Liz Hengber and Tommy Lee James wrote the song. Liz started writing it when a friend of hers was dying of cancer but couldn’t finish it , so she ask her friend Tommy to help finish it and when Reba heard it she thought of her dying father.
I lost my mom to metastatic cancer this past October and I can relate to this video.
Thank you for your service
Please please please react to Blue October Hate me and Into the Ocean!!!
I lost my dad from cancer ♋️ in the stomach and the doctors could not help him at all and I never got to say goodbye to him at all 😭
So excited to see you react to this. This song holds a very special place in my spot. She sang this at her father’s funeral. I lost my grandfathers I suddenly. He was the head of our family, the patriarch. Everything will never be the same without him, holidays, family get together, but we know where he is at and that he is no longer in pain. Remembering our last memory, all our family standing by his side and my Nana’s. Our family has never been closer. He had a special love for horses as well and we shared that love and bond.
I first want to say I am so sorry for your loss. I have lost 3 out of 4 of my grandparents and it isn't easy. I can't imagine if I lost my mom or dad. I agree with you that nothing seems the same without them.
Reba's Dad was a former Champion rodeo rider....and this is a dedication to him....
I can relate I lost my dad in 2002
This video is shot on the family ranch in Oklahoma it's in memory of her father but her mother makes a cameo in the video
Billy, WORKIN ON by Colt Ford for Memorial Day. For all with PSTD.
Billy you need to do Reba's cover of the Everley Brothers song 'Cathy's Clown'. The video has alot of the TV western actors from the 60's & 70's plus Bruce Boxlightner from Kenny Dodgers Gambler movies along with several TV series in the late 70's & 80's
One thing that gets me about Reba McEntire yes she looks a lot like my grandma and I lost from a heart attack in 2015 on my uncles birthday she’s driving out there to give him flowers she made it to his headstone but she had a heart attackAnd she had put up with over 18 years of diabetes
Dear agony by Breaking Benjamin featuring Lacy Sturm
Reba McEntire Back to God please

Reba was the first female singer I ever liked . She is to this day my favorite. You should do Trisha Yearwood She's in love with a boy .

Have a couple for you, Flint Michigan’s own Whitey Morgan waiting around to die, and Jackson Taylor’s old Henry Rifle

Hope they don't block this one. It is a great video thank you Billy for reacting to it. For a song in a similar vein try Donna Taggart's "Jealous of the Angels." It helped me when my Dad passed away in January of 2017

Just as I am - Brantley Gilbert
You gotta do "If I had Only Know" by Reba.
Can you please play the song for me Sarah McLachlan In the Arms of an Angel my sister got killed back in 1999 and that's what we played at her funeral because the song relates to her family so much sounds just like my sister God bless
Hey, Billy.."Never Comin Down" By Keith Urban
I refused to say goodbye to, my Grandpa (my mom's grandpa), the one who raised me from 3 to 16. I've yet to let him go. He went to meet the Lord in early December 2004 (I was in 11th grade), I didn't celebrate Christmas that year.
This was dedicated to her dad but her mom died in March so now I’m sure it’s dedicated to her now too.
Somebody’s Chelsea by Reba !!!!
The one Reba you have to do is What Do You Say!!!
This song was for her dad. She just lost her mom last week .
