Bedbananas is a man of art. The beginning of his videos might be weird but by the end, you would have watched a entertaining story and would have seen a cinematic masterpiece.
him and buck + scp = good times
fr. he is a master of his craft
'if it was real physics they'd be flopping like fish' Correct, they did a later vid where they dropped in a tank, from orbit, and tanks don't have gravity plating, so they were tumbled around like clothes in a dryer ^^
Now they have those physics in-game tho, if someone makes sharp turns or goes into quantum travel, it will throw you off your feet
@@UncleBenjs Kind of like the unrealistic way you stick to the ship. Just makes it more convenient lol
@@nicobenji0248doesn't really seem unrealistic to me. I mean surely if we have the ability to travel through space in ships we also would try to figure out how to give those ships artificial gravity fields so our muscles don't deteriorate from the lack of gravity. Currently we fight that with weights, but if we had artificial gravity, it would make it a lot less of a problem so it just seems like the logical next step before or after figuring out faster than light travel imo
@@Wolfeygames Star Citizen doesn't have FTL travel (Its a common mis-conception) The Quantum Drive achieves speeds off 0.4 C at the highest end (About 40% the speed of light), Most drives sit in the 0.2-0.3 C range (20-30%), Jump Points (How we get between Star Systems) Are also not FTL, as they work more like a Worm Hole.
@@kyoko4651 fair enough, but my point still stands. At the point where we can inhabit different star systems, we probably have the ability to make artificial gravity fields. How else would the player not snap their neck during acceleration in the atmosphere from the g forces? Star wars and star trek deal with this problem via inertial dampeners/compensators.
I’ve been a fan of Bed since he was in the ASDFs. They made hilarious battlefield videos back in the day before the group split. I’m glad Bed stuck with making videos. He may not upload a lot but the quality over quantity is what sets him apart from the rest.
I miss their old gmod group videos
Bed's Videos are art.
i dont appreciate him adding elements to make the game look/sound better than it is.
The fact that you can't play this game without some kind of bug speaks to how long it takes to get some new content out, hence most youtubers regurgitating the same B-roll for years at a time.
You should try a purple mattress. So much better than a standard bed.
Same man, brings back so much nostalgia I remember watching their ASDF moments back in Battlefield 3 it made my childhood :)
Bedbananas is the one of the oldest channels I still watch on RUclips. Dude has been making quality content for 10+ years now.
He seemed familiar. I've seen his BF3 vids a while back. If all his videos are cinematic like this the dude is underrated lol
Attention to detail makes this possible.
Like, have you noticed how their voice chat adapts not just to direction and distance, but also to the location? When a place has a hall effect, their voices get it too, it's crazy.
Thats only the first part. When you escape your crime stat is maxed, you bounty is high so all bounty hunters can track you. You can't land anywhere other than Grim Hex, the designated criminal station. You have to get a ripper, and hack a terminal at a security post to clear your crime stat. Security posts are highly guarded by NPC's and player Bounty Hunters. It's a lot of fun. I'm a bounty hunter though. So I'm usually on the other end of it. :D
Had to do that once, bumped a ship, it bugged and slammed into a station and maxed out my crime stat when that was an issue, being chased acrost the galaxy by 6 players was nerve racking
you can get really into the criminal side of it and when you go to clear your bounties you can go disable comm arrays as you travel so bounty hunters aren't updated on your location. like for example you can go to a moon, planet or station with a security post, disable the comm array there that's pinging your location, then go ping your location at a different planet or moon leaving the comm array intact, then go back to the area with the disabled comm array so they think you're still where you just came from because you didnt disable the comm array there and were pinged there last. now you can go clear your bounty at the security post without worrying about people finding exactly where you are. Still keep an eye out though 👀
@@ToatsMcGoats534 See you at the disabled comm array
26:45 really glad they made shooting from turrets and honestly a lot of the mechanics much better already even since this video. Jail is very difficult because the jumps are pretty tough, not to mention needing someone to help get you out in the end. You get a bounty on your head and security comes after you. A lot of things have to work right, assuming the server doesn't run into any problems, too.
ggggg
I really hope he watches the other Bed video “Space Convention” it’s one of my all time favorite RUclips videos.
I concur!
War for Jumptown is my favourite by BedBanana

There's internal gravity generation and stuff in the lore here.
But there *is* some outside influences if the force from the outside is hard enough.
I’m a year late, but I escaped prison in SC once before. My friends and I had been doing a bit of piracy. Bed took the longer route here- the pit is actually large enough to get a Pisces (the shuttle on the Carrack) inside. Someone got their Pisces and airlifted us out through the pit.
It's pretty fun, but really buggy, but it does usually get better with every release.
Yeah. . ground vehicles don't randomly explode anymore
They fixed the ship elevators so you can reliably but vehicles in
They added a server crash recovery so you don't lose cargo.
Bed logout is working 90% of the time.
@@tomsmarkovs1946 I heard they also released an update not too long ago that got rid of a lot of lag, especially in cities, is this true?
@@spongekiller178 they did, but i haven't played it in a while, so I can't confirm it.
They are moving stuff to the gpu.. So you should get better frame rates.
@2:47 The ship has antigravity, meaning it could control the gravity inside. If the technology were real, they'd still be feet firmly planted on the deck.
considering it was out of fuel that system would have shut down. Its a mute point anyways, since nowadays they probably would stagger or at least fall if it did that lol. But that wasnt in the game at the time.
@@LothlorianOG Fuel ≠ Electricity
@@LothlorianOG The fuel ships use in the game for their thrusters is independent of its artificial gravity generators.
@@LothlorianOG As others pointed out, fuel doesn't mean the ship loses power, only propulsion. They actually have a system where you can control these systems through what's called resource management and physicalized components (but it's not activated in the game yet).
@@billywashere6965 Im really confused by what yall are saying here. Fuel is what is used to create power. Where else would the power be coming from? There may be a backup generator, but I have never once heard that mentioned. Maybe they will implement an UPS system, but again, never heard that talked about. Now theres two types of fuel in game, but thats not folks are saying here. If theyre going to try for any type of realism, then fuel equals power, without some type of additional reactor. Maybe Ive missed that over the last few years.
The game is so good people think its scripted or a movie
Still is?
@raptorgod77 come to the verse and add me im a noob too. Oh and yes.
Even though it's an Alpha my friends and discord mates have a hell of a time in this game so many epic moment s you can put together. There is a desert planet with Ravines called Daymar and we often bring out Tanks to the planet and have legit tank wars within the deep ravines so there is cover and obstacles. Also ATV races and just so many incredible moments you can put together. Even though its Alpha still always my choice of games due to the truly technological advancements especially the weather system holy shit and the amount of armor and weapons you can get in game. Some of these ships are so huge it's like a Call of Duty map on the inside where you can have shoot outs.
This game is so underrated it has a long way to go before it reaches its promises state but it is making immense progress with the tech required. Not to mention the single player campaign is taking up most of the company’s resources. It’s a long wait but their is nothing else like or close to this games scale.
But there are always morons who scream SCAM CITIZEN LOL, like no shut the fuck up and play it yourself then see how hard it is for the dev team vision to come true
I love when people who dont know much about starcitizen see times they generally think in game time, but when it said 9 hours, anyone who plays starcitizen understands they have 9 hours irl to either kill, to mine, or to escape
Can't log out?
@@littlemonztergaming8665 risky, idk if more recent builds solve that inconvenience, but generally logging out deleted all progress and where your ships were until the persistsnce actual was patched in
I will say as a long backer and player.
Yes escaping prison is hard. just learning the route can be difficult and at low gravity a small error can send you to the beggining or worse you die and get time added to your sentence.
once you escape the planet's heat starts eating you up and making you dehadrate quickly and burn up oxygen. If you don't have anyone to pick you up you have to drive the rover to Norbert station to spawn a ship which is really hard because there is no way to navigate in game currently on a land vehicle so you have to know the way or use astrology somehow to find the way.
As soon as you exit prison a bounty is generated for player bounty hunters to come and get you, they also get a real time marker to show them where you are . it would realistically take 30 minutes to drive to the research center to spawn a ship which gives bounty hunters plenty of time to intercept you. once they get to you there is no much you can do in terms of self defense as the Rover's turret does not have any significant fire power to shoot down ships. if you somehow make it to spawn your ship or you get picked up you then have to fly to grim hex to buy a hacking chip and then fly to a security station (which most of them are heavily guarded by npcs) to try and reset your crimes , this takes extra time that bounty hunters can use to track you. if you somehow die in any of these steps you are sent back to prison and your sentence reset and time added.
Escaping from prison is hands down the most challening and fun thing you can do in SC at the moment. the easy way out is just to log off and serve your sentence off line or reset your account.
Fun fact: some cry baby backers want to make it even harder to escape prison since they hate crim players and they assume all crim players are player killers which is not true, you can find yourself with a crime stat just from accidently taking the wrong mission.
every fucking time im sent to prison is because of my fast reaction to kill the wrong guy in 890 mission.
they RP, but its not scripted. this all happened live on stream
"I'm beginning to think my barber set me up"
14:00 that silly face reminds me of the old Left 4 Dead Gmod parodies 😆😂
Congrats on 100K!!
I had an epic solo escape until my friend picked me up. Got to the URSA Rover right when I ran out of oxygen. Crazy. Made it out.
i love bedbananas videos. his hitman series is hilarious.
As buggy of a game as it is, definitely some great content to be made and glad he came across the bedbananas videos
Buggy but fun. Great way to pass the time tho if you're stuck in an office for 6 out of 8 hours like me.
I wish I had gamer friends to do this kinda stuff with.
There’s a ton of discords you can join
Hope summit sticks with Star Citizen tbh, it was a bit of a struggle but this game's so crazy cool man

That's the problem. Not a game yet
Think its getting an update soon too or something..
@@tmcog395 You know how long we've been hearing that one. Why finish the game when people are still giving you money to develop it.

its weird to see mainstream streamers play star citizen
this game is insane in size and details.
I had a 22 hour sentence. Just did a few oxygen missions, and logged for the night. I got that sentence by staffing Olisar with a Sentinel EMP.
that's harsh
all the people saying its scripted, im not kidding, it doesn't have to be at all :D I had this exact same prison break scenario :D lmao
Damn I love this game and this hilarious video helps show its potential when everything comes together
Crazy how we all have seen bed and the ASDF at some point. Bed has always been on a certain level.
there is no way this is an actual game... im blown away from there development progress
Most of the game is like this but he did add in audio files of the background noises and collisions with things to make the video seem more immersive
almost half a bil in funding and 12 years later not even in alpha
@@HazardousFrk way to twist facts.
This game went to alpha in 2016 after many restructuring of studios , they started with an office with 6 to 12 programers and they now have studios around the globe working on the game 24/7 2020 was a rough year for everyone as everyone had to work from home. patch 3.15.1 was an amazing patch filled with content. they are releasing content every 4 months .
They were also fighting a law suit by cryo engine which they finally won.
Red dead redemption 2 took 10 years to make and they didnt make anything new. CIG is making a game from scratch founded by crowd founding almost exclusively

lol I saw this video of theirs for the first time about 3-4 weeks ago. This was absolutely epic! :D
Congrats on 100k Jaron
You need a plan like this to break out. Cause the second you escape you get bounties on you and players will try to get those bounties. So you absolutely need a space ship to get out lol.
But I think you can mine to make it shorter if you can't escape. Escaping is just more fun than mining lol
Summit is the sort of creator that would get so good at dogfighting. I'd love to watch him doing to GTA style RP in Star Citizen. In fact. SC should be courting the idea of fascilitating more RP and stuff to generate some new buzz. GTARP has been amazing to watch, but imagine the RP ideas in a game like SC. (If it worked properly lol)
Captain Berks best Tour Guide summit could have asked for

Fan of Bed since the Asdfs and remains one of my favorites and never failed to put a smile on my face
i love seeing all the GTA RP people in star citizen can't wait for no pixel to try to do a private server if they ever do get around to making that a thing
idt ive ever seen summy that stoned
One of the best games out there
Cool , I would like to see him watch I overclocked and adrift . Those are 2 very cool SC machinima series going on now
Star citizen is carzy underrated imo. It's unique.
I am into this game since a few years and though it's surely still buggy and probably will be for quite some time in several cases, the potential is limitless.
yeah i can see it being a great game in a couple years but the way they market the ships is scummy as hell but i can see the game being amazing one day
@@nathandingy There are always opinions about that part. I bought my ship back in 2015 and never bought another one, just via the ingame shop, I support the project by testing & writing bug reports in the issue council. Despite that, every new ingame ship they sell, by now, is available in the ingame store just 3 months later.
@@veliostv9089 I understand and wouldn't have an issue with that but at full release that can really pose a p2w standard. Now if they stopped selling ships before full release (whenever that is) Then that's fine
@@nathandingy You got a point here. There will never be a full release though. But there will be a point when all the in-house-made core tech is done, there are no more resets and from that point on it's about content, content, content. But I agree with you that in a long term, they should not depend on players buying ships, there are already plans for that like cosmetic stuff. In addition, Squadron 42 needs to be really good and sell well, which is probably one of the points it's not here yet. Stuff like that simply takes time.
CONGRATULATIONS ON 100k JARON! You deserve every sub and sum should hire you because you edit better than his yt team
The Old Bedbananas and Asdfs we great!!! I miss those old vids
BedBananas is the GOAT
they left parts out also ... like codes for the FAN, they paid 1 guys way out so he could bring the ship, etc
Do you want to be a Canary….Well do ya !! Some of the funniest lines I have ever seen in an SC video
best part of this is watching summit fk those Doritos up
Thinly sliced ham sounds like he needs to blow his nose
"How hard is it to break out of jail."
Being completely honest, BedBananas and his crew had it easy because someone had already put in the code to slow down the fan blades. Once the fan's slowed down escape can pretty much happen at any time.
Getting off the planet is an entirely different story.
It Happened !
I don't scape prison, every few minutes there is a mission that spawns in prison that if you fix oxygen stations it helps to reduce the sentence significantly. max I had to do was 2 missions to get out, I had like 5 hours of prison time. Its long route to get to those stations but imo way faster than mining plus you get rid of your sentence where as if you escape you won't which on top of it you have to do another attack to a security station to hack your crime stats, its a lot of fun but risky if bounty hunters are on your ass, if they kill you, all that time of scape, and travel to go buy chip then travel to a security post to use that chip to hack your stats is wasted and probably you have more time to do now.
sum sums laugh is the best
that was AWESOME
The ships got artificial gravity, but when you increase the momentum like with hard brakes, accelerations or curves you actually do fall over and can hurt yourself.
That good good frankieonpc experience
nice. this is one of my favorites
I watched bed when he was making gmod vids like the pony war and insurgency “the anime war against al weeaboo”
whats the music called starting at 18:47?
Anyone else think the prisons are an exact rip from the prison in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie? Lol
Ships have Gravity generators but, watching people slam around the inside of the Nova Tank falling through atmosphere is fun it does not have Grav Gen 😂🤣😂
Edit: BTW if you are in Klescher you absolutely can find oxygen pens in the work mines its just whether or not it registers you using it, sometimes it's buggy down there in the mines lol.
The Ursa at the end didn't have gravity, when they got up it tried to put them on the ceiling. They got placed outside after they wouldn't actually fit, though it only looked like the windshield broke.
9:46 when a game turns into Oblivion.

When summit said he had to get a snack i also got some dorritos AT THE SAME TIME
I have Star Citizen, it is a lot of fun, even with my computer being a bit lacking
Imagine this in VR and it isn't scuffed
Is there actually a decent amount of stuff to do for solo in SC? I know its not a complete game, just wondering if i can have any fun not knowing anyone lol
I play solo. You won't have the same kind of emergent gameplay you see here, and multicrew ships are not as strong (which makes sense). But there are many ships that work great for solo, including the starters, and you can do any mission type solo, although some of them (like bunker or 890 FPS missions) are much easier in a group.
But you can do bounty hunting, mining, and trading without any issue solo. I enjoy the mining gameplay (it's actually one of the most fleshed out game loops right now, requiring multiple steps, and some skill and practice to get good at it) but the combat is pretty solid, although the NPCs have issues with AI (due to server issues mainly). There are other mission types, including cave exploration, derelict recovery, box transportation, etc. that you can do solo as well, however, I don't have as much experience with them.
All that being said, the game is more fun with other players, which I mainly experienced during Xenothreat earlier this year. Multicrew gameplay is far more fun than it has any right to be and I highly recommend at least trying it. The community is pretty helpful in general and you can often find pick-up gameplay by asking in chat as a lot of established players will happily take on random crew to make bounty missions faster or do multicrew mining, both of which can be extremely profitable even with shared rewards. Most ships can be bought in game too although it will take a while, especially for the big ones.
@@hunteriv4869 damn man i appreciate the reply that sounds awesome, if its easy to find groups in chat ill definitely reach out! any suggestions on starter ship? lol
@@Velothresh That's actually not an easy question. If you want a minimum cost package ($45) there are two main options: the Aurora and the Mustang. Of the two I personally think the Aurora is better, primarily because it has a walkable interior, which opens up more mission types (such as box transportation, which are nearly impossible in the Mustang). The Mustang is still a solid ship, though, and slightly better at combat, so if you only intend on bounty hunting you may have a slightly easier time (it's not a large difference, though).
If you are willing to pay a bit more ($70) the Avenger Titan is pretty much universally considered the best starter ship. It has a lot more cargo space than the previous two ships, is a better fighter, has a good interior, and is a fantastic all-rounder for a single pilot. After that price point there are better "all-round" ships, such as the Cutlass Black, but as a new player they aren't really necessary. You can "upgrade" by paying the difference later, so frankly I recommend starting with the Aurora to get a feel for the game and, if you really like it after playing for a while, consider the $25 upgrade to a Titan. That being said, it's totally viable to make money with the Aurora, especially if you upgrade the weapons and shields (ship components can be upgraded and you can build specialized loadouts for what you want to do).
There's also a $65 Aurora package that includes Squadron 42, the single-player campaign. This isn't out yet and we have no idea if it will be out any time soon. I personally have it, but I've also been playing since 2015 as an early backer, so it's worth it to me. I don't know if I'd recommend it for someone who isn't already sold on the project.
I should point out there are periodic "free fly" events every few months where you can play for free for about a week. The last one ended December 1, not sure when the next is. These events are pretty popular and tend to be brutal on the servers, so performance is usually a bit worse than normal, but it will still give you a feel for the gameplay. I personally love the game but if you are hesitant to spend $45 on something that is *very* early access (early access games are typically much farther in development progress than SC, so it is very buggy and unoptimized) it might be worth keeping an eye on for the next free fly to try it.
Also, do yourself a favor and for the love of God install the game on an SSD. The world is seamless (no loading times after first entering a server) and so a *lot* of data is streamed in and out...a normal hard drive can't keep up and your performance will be horrific, even with a top end machine. A lot of new players make this mistake and wonder why they are frequently getting stuck in single digit FPS and have half hour loading times. It's the hard drive 95% of the time.
In-game tutorials are also limited so a "getting started" video is probably worth watching. It's an "open world" game in a very real sense so you won't be given direct objectives or have your hand held. I hope that helps!
@@Velothresh hey dude, if you're still keen on SC it's worth mentioning that if you'd like to find a group there's heaps of 'Organisations' (endorsed by the developers) which are essentially Guilds from other MMOs.
like for example i'm from HVC - Hyperion Vanguard Coporation and we focus on casual milsim but have players from every gameloop
For anyone that wanna play this game. i highly recommend these settings. if i was balling, my game would be fressssh. the game still have issue a regardless of how much power your pc have. bugs, glitches, freeze, stuck, blow up randomly, loot glitch, menu glitch, fps drops like crazyyyyy, etc. but its fun..

The amount of kids that have never heard of this game is mind boggling
The amount of kids still thinking it's a scam is mind boggling as well. Fellas literally just repeating rumors from 5 years ago, when there was barely a game out for testing and people were supporting the development only for jpegs and promises of ships in return. Back then it was a reasonable argument that people might never get what they paid for.
Now they have huge planets, moons, space stations, outposts, bunkers, land vehicles, weapons and armor, and most of the ships in the game. More and more core gameplay systems are coming into the game each patch every 3 months. The most recent patch introduced medical gameplay, the one before that changed scanning and missile/torpedo gameplay. The next patch is supposed to have salvage in it.
