So glad it worked Mike especially when reading ebay description! Maybe because the cpu is pressed down on the pins contact is still fully maintained. Interesting combo for good price. Thanks Mike and Kath 🐈👍
I would say you dodged the proverbial bullet on that one. Us Intel folks have become accustom to the LGA sockets to be extra careful when installing CPU's. Glad it turned out good. Thanks for sharing Mike and Lady Kath. Take care as always. Cheers
I wish you booted it into the operating system, but the fact that you got a POST with significantly worse damage than what I got makes me optimistic about my motherboard.
I am also a cheepskate, bought a B650E Aorus Master, a £450 mobo new but it had a few bent pins for £70. 20 Minutes of pin rebending I managed to get it to work bar the third ram slot, been using it with my "untested and damaged 7900X3D" for a couple months now with no issues Got a top end AM5 platform for £237
I'd say lucky duck but that's quite brave of you. I hope I can fix mine, think I misaligned a few when I tried to clean them with a cloth (bad idea sockets are like velcro
Before getting my msi pro b650m-p, I ordered a msi pro a620m-e that was a warehouse deal. Effectively, the price was good.. But after getting it, I looked at the socket and the pins were in a way more bad condition than yours. In fact, I just packed it up and sent it back. I paid a bit more for the b650m-p, but I guess that I will be able to put a better processor later
@@mikesunboxing I consider it to be a nice no frull board for budget builds. A good board to be paired with an APU since almost any video card will condamn at least one pcie slot, 2 if a gaming card is installed. In normal time, an entry board like this one, at this price would have had at least average wifi, but now being now, it's what you get. For my current use, with a Ryzen 7600, 32gb of ddr5 6000 and the arc a380, it is working 24/7, restarting only for Windows update. So, I cannot complain here.. ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
A great score indeed Mike 🤩🥰🥳👍! Glad three weren’t any issues as an exult of those bent motherboard pins 😇🥳👍. I’d personally test the board completely, as you mentioned …. All the NVME port/s, usb ports, memory in ALL slots etc and XMP / Expo timings as well. In addition, try and fix as many pins as possible without causing any further damage to the motherboard🤞🤞
i got motherboard from amazon warehouse with bend pins not too many they where bit more close to centre line where are mainly ground and power pins what are basically the same, anyway i build pc anyway dint want to send it back XD but it turned on i done testing looks like everything is working, tested out memory lanes too make sure both socets work in dual channel also looks like pcie lanes working. if damage is more on the side of the socet then they affect some like memory etc
@@mikesunboxing the pro rs is priced higher in my country, do you think this msi is better than asrock's hdv? Considering the asrock hdv has 8+2+1 power phase
hello I'm not sure if you'll see this but I'm getting a 7500f soon with the same motherboard for my first ever build, and I'm wondering if I'll get screwed on the possibility of the bios version being older or newer than 7E27v11. should I be concerned or not? and is it easy to fix

hope yours is okay, mine was great used it in a few videos then sold it in a pc build and it is still going strong

The Flashing of the BIOS was Aired yesterday - mmmmmm, continuity Mike...????
you are the first to mention it :-) So i think it was okay.
and besides, it could have been the replacement board i flashed?

thank you
I've got the same issue and my motherboard is running but the problem is that it Burns as Hell So i need to repair those pins
Could always read the manual on your phone?
Which do you think is better? This board or AsRock B650M HDV/M.2? Thanks
this one or the asrock pro rs is the real question

a simple USB bios flash back and you will be fine, if it is needed, but you might be okay

haha not a bad idea
the important point I don't see how you unbend it.. haha
I didn’t, just because they look bent doesn’t mean it won’t work

well it was a okay deal, not perfect but it seems to work, so i am pretty happy
