Hey, if you’re Hispanic and prefer the term “Hispanic” over “Latino,” my apologies.
I tried to go with the most generally accepted term amongst Hispanics. Originally, I thought it was “Latino.”
But, after doing some post video study, I found that “Hispanic” may be the more preferred term.
There's a lot of overlap. You didn't do anything wrong
I don’t mind either way, maybe some people will care as the terms aren’t always interchangeable but it’s not a huge deal

I really wish miles music wasn’t just hip hop infused stuff instead of incorporating his Puerto Rican side too

But seeing as he lives in Brooklyn New York it makes sense that he listens to hip hop. If Miles were real he’d probably even listen New York drill lol
@@uzii6540 have you ever met a Puerto Rican person, I have a cousin who’s black and Puerto Rican who’s lived in New York all his life and he mainly listens to Puerto Rican music, same with the rest of the young people in my family, I don’t know where you got the idea that we don’t listen to our own music because where we live😭
@@dirtydan3512 his point is, influence and environment matter.🤦🏾 Ur friend prolly was influenced into enjoying that typa music, nun wrong wit that. But it’s a fact that due to where Miles is, he’s more than likely going have a liking to the typa music that is mostly played around him. Because the places u grow up in, influence u. Samething with people, they influence u.

I myself am Puertorican, p similar to Miles unironically (puerto Rican mom, black dad, from Brooklyn, real difference being my mom was the real hard ass growing up lol) and when going through Miles Morales’ game, while the score was FIRE, I think your approach really respected the character and his roots as Puerto Rican, Black and, above all, a Brooklyn Badass 🤙🏾

Dude the mix of the Hip Hop drums and the Spanish guitar. 9:00 *Chefs Kiss* But then that classic New York trumpet came in 9:10 and I'm like OMG this is a Black-Latino Spider-Man sound track I'm listening to!! Loved it!
And the piano and violin holding it together and giving the rest of the piece that nudge it needs. 🥲 Beautiful.
This felt a lot less generic than the official music
The official music didn’t wanna go full hip hop and wanted to mix it with that superhero music from the first game for the sake of series consistency. I wish they had gone further into Miles getting his own musical vibe

This was incredible, the guitair melded so perfectly with everything. Every time it came in it was exciting, loved every track you made. I had a thought, what if there were 3 tracks, one that incorporated more hip hop, one that incorporates more latin sounds, and one that blends them together, could be interesting.

But His father is still a black man and more than likely your going to have more of the black traits from your father than the Puerto Rican traits from your mother

These were some really cool ideas. It would have been so unique to Miles and it would've differentiated him much further from Peter, which is one of the themes of the game anyway.

Puerto Ricans love subjecting everyone to the same rinse and repeat reggaeton beat anytime they go to the beach so it was a nice breath of fresh air hearing this instead
4:31 idk if this is only in Peter’s game, but when you zip through a water tower it causes the music’s tempo to go faster for a second. I kinda remember it as drums but I’m not sure since I haven’t played the first game in a while. Also don’t know if it’s in Spider-Man 2 as well.

I kinda wanted him to have some regaetone music for a more versatile hispanic feel while still having the hip-hop feel and his black culture. Something with a Tres guitar and trap machine, I also think an electric classical bass would sound great for an orchestral version.

Absolutely amazing how you fit every single movement in the gameplay with the music. The only thing i personally would've changed is the guitar for something more Puertorican than Spanish. (At least to ME it sounded a little bit too european) I would've make it more of a reggaeton mixed with hip-hop.
