- Many times in/around Miami but never to Key Biscayne, you gotta pay the TOLL to get in there, so first time exploring Key Biscayne, at the end not too impressed with this expensive Miami suburb located just south-east of Miami off US 1. Pretty much similar with Hilton Head, SC.

So many changes I see on Key Biscayne. I lived there from 1972 until 2007, what a difference since I left. All of the once iconic places are gone sadly. The Rusty Pelican, Sundowners, The Sand Bar just to name a few. A beautiful place for sure, the natural beauty is awe inspiring.

Ahh I lived in Key Biscayne for 7 years so I spent my early childhood there. I miss it so much. I actually was neighbors with the actor Andy Garcia.

When you see the mansions on that island, they are amazing!

I miss you Miami! Where is the shark? I worked at the restaurant called Horatio's back in the day, before joining the Military.Miami Vice was filmed there a couple of times. We used to go to Sunday's on the bay and listen to the reggae band Pluto. Wish I could post pics here, but it's all good!
Almost, still ~20 miles to Florida City on US 1.
A millions times worth the drive from anywhere on the continent, Toronto included.

Key Biscayne is a nice place to hang out if you have friends there and you live in the Miami area. Other than that, a visit there is a complete waste of time.

MUST get a SunPass Transponder in order to enter Key Biscayne, cash or tokens no longer available.
IF you don't have a SunPass Transponder, the electronic system will take a picture of your car's license plate and you will be billed by mail at a higher rate.
IF you're driving to Florida using your own vehicle, I recommend you stop at the first Florida Welcome Center on I-95 or I-75 and buy a SunPass from there, they are open 7 days a week but until 5pm if I'm not mistaken.

Actually Chris, if you look up on the internet, you will see that the actual archipelago stretches from Virginia Key and goes all the way down to the Dry Tortugas. Soyez heureux et en sécurité.

Check out the Miami Seaquarium and take a bike to the State Park. I think you'll find it won't be a complete waste of time!!!

No, I don't recall that. But I do remember that Nixon, our 37th POTUS, had a vacation retreat there during his presidency.
He would fly to Key Biscayne just to get away from the pressure-cooker atmosphere of the White House, usually on the weekends. He would land at Miami airport and then helicopter to Key Biscayne.
However, his former retreat was razed some years ago to make way for a condominium or something.
The Sun Gym associated with the Sun Gym Gang is in Miami Lakes not Key Biscayne

Video is good but that techno music just ruins the whole experience.
Video is 5+ year old. At that time my channel was not monetized therefore I couldn't care less on the copyrighted music I used for ALL my videos and not just this one.
Since 2013 or 2014 my channel has been monetized and since then I have used only copyright-free music.
Moreover, since last year, no more music on my channel BUT date & time stamped on the video like in this very video:
