King of modern day rockabilly and swing. Setzer really is a bit underrated as a guitar player though widely recognized by many of course. He has always cooked!

As a kid in the hair metal 80's that was obsessed with 50's music this dude was one of my guitar heroes.
He’s the King of Cool- No contest!
Even though rockabilly isnt my preferred genre, I have ALWAYS liked Brian Setzer and his musicianship ever since I first saw Stray Cats on MTV in the 80’s!! He is a top shelf act!!

We played this tune back in my band days, playing in bars and whatnot, there was really no designated lead guitar player in our band, but this lead fell onto me to learn, I learned the radio version by ear, none of that tablature stuff, tho I've leave plenty of tunes that way, this one was more of a "just have fun and don't worry about playing it note for note", everyone seemed to enjoy our version, one of my favorite tunes to play, I have always thought of this as being one of the funnest songs to play..

I love metal, I love the classic rock era, and I even loved me some Devo back in the day (nerd-rock FTW), but...
SWING IS KING. There is no song better than one with a fully-erect horn section filling up the stage with sound. You can fake being a good singer, you can fake being a good guitarist. But brass is pure and demanding. These guys KILLLLLLLLLLED it.

As a guitar player I can tell you that Brian really helped to revitalize the Gretsch brand in the guitar world. And he really makes his guitars cook with his playing
