What can i say about the legendary Brian Setzer. Loved the Stray cats since 1980 still do in 2023 and beyond. King of rockabilly no competition the full package. Go go Brian.
Brian Setzer le meilleur guitariste du monde et le chanteur rockabilly de tout les temps . J ai été un peut pour le voir il est un génie. Salut Brian amitié à toi et tout tes musiciens.
I like Brian's 'Rockabilly Terminator from the future' look here, but he's a class act with the best sound I've ever heard from a Gretsch, long may he continue....
I loved the Stray Cats back in the day, I'm just realising now that it was basically Brian Setzer I loved. He's amazing! And that voice, oh my goodness 😍
Pay attention to his feet. He doesn't use pedals. That sound he makes is because he uses great instruments plugged into great amps and the rest is actual talent. This isn't compressed, auto-tuned and played to a click track. This is Rock and Roll as it is meant to be.
I'm a Rockabilly guitar player that has bought everything Brian has done throughout the years. However, because his label owner and friend over at Surfdog records (Dave Kaplan), started out and is still a huge Setzer super fan it seems he pretty much lets Brian release whatever he wants, giving us a ton of content that is basically the same live album/setlist from just about every tour, sands the occasional one or two different new tracks from whatever new release he happens to be pushing that tour. Because of this, there are close to ten or so live audio and or videos that don't really vary that much in their setlist. This is one DVD that I did not end up buying. However, I am possibly considering buying it, if it has some really cool behind the scenes bonus dvd chapters? I really enjoyed the behind the scenes Brixton footage plus the Xmas dvd bonus footage where he and Mark Jones show you the behind the scenes look at their chart writing process for the horns. Can anyone who owns this DVD please tell me if there is any cool behind the scenes bonus footage worth my buying it for? If not, I again really feel like I have a dozen or so different live Setzer releases that the setlist are nearly identical sands for the one single of whatever new release he happens to be touring/pushing for on that tour. Thanks. I mean I literally have close to twenty officially released live versions of all the major hits, (Stray cut strut,Rumble in Brighton,Rock this Town, Jump Jive, etc...).
What can you say? Nothing as exciting as this available today. I was 11 when stray cats hit. Still sounds awesome Brian. You're like Lee Van Cleef or summink 👍
Thanks to Rolling Stone magazine for directing me and others to the video. I saw the keyboard player play at last year's Christmas show and he is great too. Strange that Setzer doesn't say "Rumble in Osaka tonight...".
I know, I'm a big Brian fan myself, but I think that maybe because it was being filmed, Brian thought it was best to just sing Brighton. If it wasn't being filmed, I'm sure he would've sang Osaka instead.
Seems like there's another guitar but I don't see another player? Anyone know?... and don't just dismiss.... listen, you can hear Bigsy or whammy when he's just playing chords.
Hi, I'm a guitarist who plays this song live, and have done for 30 years+ so I know it very well, and I watched and re-watched and can't hear another guitar anywhere. This sounds like pretty much every other live version I've seen Brian play. Without other guitarists! He is definitely using left hand finger vibrato on some chords, Bigsby on others, and there is quite lot of Roland RE 301 tape echo too, so sounds can overlap - maybe that mixture of techniques and sounds is what you are hearing?
@@fernandomaron87 Yeah, I watched it again. I already knew he was a wizard, part of my top 10 guitarists of all time. I didn't catch what I thought I heard the first time. The guy is insane.
One of the most criminally underrated guitarists. He is a legend

So beautiful to see the japanese fans without almost no phone up filming, everybody enjoying the show and witnessing Brian's skills
Rock´n Roll is still alive!

I bought "Stray Cat Strut" on a 45 record in1981 and have been a fan of Brian Setzer ever since and he rocks that beautiful orange Grestch!!!!
The most talented musician ever.
You've heard of Jim Heath, right? If not the Revival is on... look him up, my good dude.
he's the 1st I'd go to see LIVE
Brian knows what he'\\s doing
Agreed...
He's the only musician alive who i would pay high money to see live.

Looks and sounds great, thanks for sharing!

I'm guessing because they filmed it he only sang "Rumble in Brighton" rather than Osaka.
Daniel Ford He usually substitutes whatever city they're in

Style and talent❤❤
I will never hear "Rumble in Guadalajara tonight" :'(
Saw the Stray Cats play at Brighton in 1981 !!! (y)
I am very jealous!!! I bet it was a kick arse concert!
So am I....
Ian Goldstraw What an amazing memory to have, I'd do just about anything to see The Cats live!!
Dawn Benedict yes, green with envy!
I would say it was in 1984 (23rd january), not in 1981. And 14 Karat Soul opened too. They joined the Cats on 2 songs. Am I wrong?
Wonderful quality. Can't wait...
В полный кайф!
Every time this comes up in my feed, I see the thumbnail and I think, "Oh, cool! A video of Conan O'Brien playing guitar."
This is my fav! So sick!
I'm surprised you and Danny Gatton didn't put out an album together!❤
as usual I am ahead of the curve
Lovely 😊
Still COOL & Amazing!
Amazing!!😍
This versus the new bands like Kaiser chiefs. No contest. Brian is the complete rock and roll guitarist.
すばらしい
Rock Father-approved!
I agree👍👍👍
Best Stray Cats song ... how I like
Awesome !!!
Thumbs UP!!
amazing!!
There may be a time when we realize Japan is more American than America.
yeah...like right NOW!
Good thing we stopped after Nagasaki!
They own the rockabilly scene, it's stronger there than anywhere in the planet.
i`m waiting for "rumble in cologne tonight" :-D :-D :-D
Fucking Killer song!
All black leather eh? back to the roots, awesome
Sexy as hell❤
Like his idol Gene Vincent

Who the hell thumbed this down?

Maybe you hear the Piano in the Bassline unisono in the Back

Setzer's a wizard, bro. You're not listening to another guitar.

Love it, but not the same with out slim Jim and Lee rocker,
Benedict Cumberbatch on bass? ;)
the Cats are a much better band, period.
too much slow
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
