know why Brian is so good,he looked way back in music history and learned from the best
I ALWAYS believed...THAT'S how you play music...with a passion...and those who love music,as you do,will see what you see in the sound.
Lee Rocker still playing with a broken D string, outstanding!
The stakes are higher considering the first song is in D!!
Well his name is Lee ROCKer afterall!
@@bluewallinc7878 ijua
A CRAZY good song, I heart it the first time when I was twelve tears old.😅😅😊😚😘
u do what u gotta do
Brian was literally the only guy with his talent playing this style of music...I love it
Brian is one of those special ppl that come along so few and far between, who does what he wants, whether you like it or not!
Thank god he did come along! xx
I love how I can hear the bass clicking and slapping so good rockabilly to the bone!
And with a broken string swinging
@@jeffreyjohn2037 EPIC
You get it
@@jeffreyjohn2037 D string, and the song's in D! He mighta wanted that one!
IT IS SOOTHING,ISN'T IT?
2020 needs a blast of good stuff from the past bring it back .
One of best live bands I saw in the 80's. So much energy ,style. Just plain fuckin cool 😺
You not wrong girl this and something else best .live obviously.
What a band! What a sound! What a look!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This gig was in the Merwehal in Dordrecht, The Netherlands and it was my first concert ever. I was 13 at that time and how spectacular and impressive this still is :-)
Stand up base very cool, stand up drummer even cooler, add genius guitar, great vocal, only 3 guys but WOW!
I remember that we had oodles of generes in the 80s, and these three kids come out blasting that old school rockabilly, and gene Vincent swagger and proceeded to slay us all. Just a giant burst of lightning and they got it right out of the gate.
The drummer for stray cats looks so much like Gene Vincent it isn’t even funny.
I ❤ this rockabilly sound
Me to makes me fell young again and just boppin and hoppin and having a hella good time😁👍👋🤗
Their music is fantastic!!!!!!👍👋
just love stray cats..im next generation but my DAD played it all the time & we use to jive together!love them memories..thanks Cats!
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE THANKS FOR SHARING THIS
they were always very underrated as if they were some sort of novelty band but they were absolutely great performers and Brian was very underrated as a singer and guitarist,
Brian is still so good looking🤗💕
This band changed my life.
I was a little tyke when those songs came out and I was watching TV and I saw Brian rocking that big orange Gretsch guitar and it was almost a religious experience, it was as if Brian came through the screen and told me
"You little dude, yes YOU, shall be like me, now get yourself a guitar and start playing."
I did and my whole life is all about Guitars.
good story
RastaSaiyaman they say a Gersch is nothing feat but brain knows his way around
The Gretchen and always loved all his music
Brian is the best guitar player of all time!
Lee on 3 string bass - totally unphased. This is what they sounded like in the pubs in UK in 80.
Excellent sound energy and style.
this is so good to see at last..not heard it since i was 7 or 8! just love the music..
You gotta love these guys. ! Theyre great. !
kudos to the bass player, just cracked on with his broken string....true musician
There is no other band for the last 40 years that can play like Stray Cats
True😻😻
REV HORTON HEAT
The Blasters in the same year could blow them off the stage.
@@SD_Marc First... I hate to compare artist I love... I love The Blasters and the Stray Cats, but I disagree, I had the privilege of attend both Cats and Alvins back in early 80's and neither Phil or Dave can match Brian on guitar picking and even singing. But I repit, them both are among my favourites
@@carlmarks8170 He is terrific showman and amazing picker... A crazy fan of the Stray Cats by the way :-)
They were/are a crackin' good band. They play the hell out of their instruments.
Shawni Ysais . If your in a three man band you better PLAY boy.
Setzer never compromised. The baddest kitty in the litterbox.
Tremendous performance. Great atmosphere/ audience.
Check out my new band Randy Thomas & the Insecures

How great a standup bass player is Lee? So great that he busted a string and didn't miss a note
You've got to have PASSION and these guys have got it in spades
Saw them last year in London. Still sounded as good!!
These guys ROCK!
One word can sum up these cats!! MONSTER'S
Was at the Farewell Australia Tour at the Forum Theatre in Melbourne. It was so awesome, then Brian came back and I got to see the Rockabilly Riot show. Just wish The Brian Setzer Orchestra would tour Australia.
unfortunately a lot of performers won't get to do a final tour because of the bat eaters.
The Brian Setzer Orchestra is an awesome show to see, I’ve seen them. I think you’ll like it if you ever get to see them
@@KingRiverVlogs Oh man I envy you. Must have been quite a show. I've seen the concert Dvds and Blurays and they blow my mind. Can only imagine how astonishing it would to be there live. Brian Setzer just seems to have so much fun on stage with the Big Band. 🤘 🎟
Kind regards Rikki
Eddie Cochran would have been proud of them.
True indeed
Eddie Cochran would have killed her.Stray Cats are a shame for the Rockabilly.
@@billhaleyrock2471 Wow!.... I respect that you don't like them, of course, but calling them a shame for Rockabilly is totally misplaced... Don't know your age, but if you are younger than 50 sure you know who were Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent or Johnny Burnette thanks to Stray Cats or The Cramps
@@rolitamedia.emanagers Who dislikes Bill Haley dislike Rock and Roll and its father!!!!!
@@rolitamedia.emanagers bad day this guy 😝
K, so number one: The bass play has a BROKEN STRING on his upright bass (omg that is so fucking punk rock). Number two, if I were you, I would just thank your lucky stars that the Stray Cats ever existed because there will never be anything like them ever again. From here to eternity...
They are the best rockabilly band to ever exist besides maybe Elvis Presley and The Blue Moon Boys which were his 50s band from Sun Records who inspired Brian Setzer to start the stray cats. And how the drummer stands up while he plays is so punk rock as well.
Underated ..... pure passion and talent mix
Beautiful guitar
I've been a fan from the start, and that includes the Brian Setzer Orch
Brian ? On aurait dit un ange rock qui joue divinement de sa guitare jusqu'à ce que l'on en meurt d'amour....😘
Slip jim et lee rocker sont mimi Aussi hein ? Voila Pas de jaloux ...
Rockabilly forever!
Go Jim go!!! 🎶
You'll get more.!
Сколько животной энергетики и ража !
Brian is beyond Special...we all know it :)
You know it’s gonna be greatness when ya see an upright bass!
were they calling him KING back then ...'cause that's what I call him today!
All I had to do was see this guy play and I was hooked, after ofc,I heard his music
the goat rockabilly band!
Love this band long liive rockabilly
Crazy Good!!!!That where the 80's.😊😊😊😊
I love Stray Cats from Japan
Merci pour ce Souvenir. J'ai retrouvé mes jeunes années.
Buena música para un espíritu positivo👍👍
no one plays like him...no one
Such a rad time in history! Grateful I was a part of that generation, back when "Hey man, cool bowling shirt!" or, "Dude, where'd you get those crazy pink slacks?" were some of the sweetest complements one could hear.
Stray cats got most of their stage gear in the Kings Road London. Johnsons for the trousers and shirts, Robot for the shoes, American Classics and 'Flip' for the vintage stuff. You could but some fantastic stuff in the late 70s early 80s and the Kings Road was really the only place to get it. Eventually the prices became ridiculous as much of the 50s/60s stuff became rare. In 1980 you could buy red selvedge Levis in good condition for £10, an original embroidered bowling shirt for £7/10 and fantastically well (British) made brothel creepers, loads of styles for £20. You can still get the shoes, but they're £200+ now. Johnsons sold all new gear under 'La Rocka' label. They produced all the pastel peg slacks and box jackets, leather gear with the skull and cross bones studs and buttons, Japanese rising sun motifs on everything, tribal prints and biker boots. Johnsons was expensive though.
@@RicTic66 Super cool info, thanks! In the States, Los Angeles in particular, Melrose was the place to shop. Flip was super cheap in '81/82, $5 shirts (sometimes cheaper), $10 pants, and cool Flip Jeans for, I think, $20. Cowboys and Poodles sold new old stock 50's clothes and shoes (kind of expensive, but not bad at all considering what they were selling), and Let It Rock! sold new Rockabilly clothes from England, like what you described at Johnsons (definitely more expensive). We had loads of orignial 50's stuff here at that time that you could mine in thrift stores throughout the county if you wanted it bad enough.
saw him first time ledo beach long island in 1982 then Union Theater nj 1983.. they were raw then Sound Great
Brian omg😍❤❤wish I were that girl on stage!love him❤❤
In 2020 I wish music we got back to the basics like this
Runaway boy et rock tais Town restent pôur moi des incontournables. J'adore toujour ... enfin j'ai kiffe tous l'album ...
Great Guitar
breathtaking
Saw them in 1992 when i was 14 with my 2 brothers and then 2004, 2008 and last year and it was sensational everytime 😊
I saw Brian in 2016. It was amazing.
So nice!!!!
ROCK N ROLL
For ever rick on CATS👍👋💕🤔
This concert was recorderd in Holland in 1981 at the concordia in Bussum .
It started 1978 hosted by adam curry.
The show ended in 1993 .
The stray cars were huge in Holland .
Elvis my nr 1 ,but these guys
My favorite guitar player and rockabilly band all times. Great artists 🙏💪💪.
We're gonna rock this world.
Eu acho incrível como este batirista tinha esta agilidade pra tirar son de dois simples tambores ao contrário de muitos que precisam de um arcenal de baterias.
Damn their band and music is stilly great!!! I've loved the stray cats since 1962 and their still great as ever so glad i searched them keep it up till you drop LIVE YOU GUYS👍👋📀😍💕
1962? they must be older than they look!
¿?
1982?
Think you're born in ' 62
right ?
Great to see this. Thank you for uploading. Stray Cats are a fuckin amazin band
Agree
it's the root of punk' bily !
swing & shuffle & rock ’n’ roll !
shaiaaaaaaaaaaaaa !
SLIM IS AMAZING HERE!! HIT ME WITH YOUR RHYTHM STICKS ❤️❤️❤️
Hit me slowly hit me quick. Hit me with your rhythm stick. Haven’t heard that one in a long time.
Actually now that I’m thinking about it. Ian Dury on that same album did a tribute song to Sweet Gene Vincent who had a huge influence on the Stray Cats. At that point in my life I didn’t even know who Gene Vincent was.
Look it up.
Slim is so cool xxxx
@@jjp.8690 yeah didn’t need to look it up, knew about Vincent when song first came out. ‘Hit Me’ will always be a No1 tune!
Som pra quem tem personalidade!!!!!!
Absolutely no D string on that bass and absolutely no fucks given
Even though the song is actually in D
just love this when i first saw TOTP...I was dancing all over the place when i was only 11..then i got into PUNK!!
🐺,,,"The 0nly Thing That Matters..
...In The End",,😼
Amazing all around, but that bass with only 3 strings working!
yjtanaka only using what he needs to b
I hate it when my G string lets me down.
Lee Rocker kicks ass
profesional man, show must go on
Back before they had money for extra gear and roadies/techs. Nowadays, his roadie would have one of several basses tuned up and ready to swap on a moments notice in case of any mishaps!!👍🏽🔥😁
Out fooking standing
NICE to remember back to the days when no one held up their phones during a concert... Flea only wishes he could be that good on a BASS.
He's playing with one strimg broken
Busted string EPIC!
Brian Setzer is the greatest of all time rockerbillies.
Badass...sweet.
Just can't get enough.....
Wrong group think that was Depeche Mode
@@johnglennon5623 LOL
Coisa incrivel este baterista o cara tirar son de um só Tambor...
Certaines reprises m'ennuie.. surtout quan l'original est un must ! Merci
Gracias a la vida rock and roll !!
This is real Rock and Roll!!!!!!
Brians is MORE than a Guitar Player
Like Hendrix, The Stray Cats had to travel to England and then come back to America to make it big.
I have this on vinyl: I need to take a moment and convert to MP4. This and Setzer's Orchestra on CD ... This should knock out the virus!
J'avais oublié les stray cats... Rafraîchissant... Comme Billy Idol d'ailleurs
Brian played saxophone in High School Band,I played drums but sax was my 2nd choice if I didn't get drums and now we both play guitar
Моя молодость
Qué buenos!!
Кайфовая группа!!!
BEST QUALITY
Had I met Brian in early 80's I was the perfect drummer for him then
Where are the kids in the audience now! Love them!!
What a great performance
