Hi Jeff, thanks for the video. I am going to build something similar in my van build.
Just a friendly reminder, don't forget to install a two stage regulator or the pressure will be too high coming from the tank and will leak from your stove, even when the stove is shut off.
Thanks again for sharing your video. Good luck with your build!

Awesome thanks for posting. I’m using the same water heater

I’m at this process myself. I like your box but curious how will you be able to replace the tank if that sits under the counter? That’s a lot of clearance needed under the counter to lift vertically out of if that makes sense.

It's sitting under my lofted bed! The lofted bed has about 41" of clearance. Take a look at my channel to see my bed video for more details of it. It will be tight to fit myself in the 'garage' to get out the tank, but it should have more than enough space to pull the tank out!

I am in favor of using propane in a van, with safety features like the locker being vented and its door gasketed and an appropriate gas detector. But, I am not sure you can run the propane distribution throughout the van using propane rubber hose, I think it has to be done using flared copper tubing.

Thanks for the input! You're absolutely right - should be using copper tubing. I may be forgoing my oven, but will still have my hot water heater mounted at the rear of my van. My plan is to only use that for showers and I'll turn off the gas to it when not in use so I'll be okay with rubber hosing for that part of my application! If I do end up still having my oven, flared copper tubing will be the way to go!

If u stay with the rubber hose u can get wire loom to wrap around the rubber hoes for Extra Protection
