It was a great little adventure and there will be many more to come - I'll try to be better about recording the adventures, too! Chapters: 0:00 Intro 2:22 Climbing 7:52 Outro Websi...

Huge shoutout to my friend for helping hold the window in place ...
Ford Transit Camper Van Conversion Insulated Walls
Просмотров 1732 года назад
The 10th video in my van build series. In this video, I'm giving more details about my walls and some additional insulation details. I wanted solid walls that I could mount to without any concerns long term so I went with 1/2" birth plywood walls. It would have been much easier to fit to the surfaces of the van with 1/4" walls but this was the best choice for me! Chapters: 0:00 Introduction 3:1...

I'm finally back with more in my van build series!! The 9th video about the build! In this video I'm taking you through the details of my bed platform - a spot I'll be spending a lot of time in my travels! I went with a fixed bed running longitudinally because I went with a longer mattress that wouldnt fit across the width of the van. Under the bed I'll have my 'garage' storage for all my adven...

Beautiful scenery . No wonder why rich tech billioners from USA getting secong citizens ship in NZ
love your Adventure in NZ.
Gotta feature much eating, because it is an adventure Jeff will eventually believe in trunks again lol great take by jue-gee on first and bottle Loose gravel bike riding…. Zero fun and much stress Oh my goodness you jumped off on a rubber band Crazy hair appearance on the yellow boat again Then a sexy bald man running up a mountain E bikes?!? You guys have iron legs, no need for E How was this forgotten? Just because it’s small it had huge memories So much singing enthusiasm
I'll never believe in trunks again! The gravel feels really solid on the right set of tires. Ebikes were used so we could cruise and enjoy the wine more!
Starting strong with some Classic crazy hair lol I thought you were an engineer and you mess up units on the swim distance. Spent too long away from freedom units PB strong on the swim! Gotta be smart on no sunburn! But transition was close to your full time lol “legal” distance for the video ;) Always a good time over first Wind is not kind to your crazy hair Fan watching is hard Jeff is turning into a triathlete with the crazy sunglasses Thanks for no details on the run…. Never mind you went there At least the run was downhill ;) jk making yolks High fives for extra horse power Nice finish Gotta finish with the troll bun! Well done
I'm glad you noticed the goofy sunglasses transition! 'legal' distance was not just for the video! I was clean the whole time :)
Took you a while to figure out how to ski fast but you got there in the wnd
Definitely seemed like another fall. David would never lie
It definitely wasn't. Not on a leap like that - David just ruined the first shot by not capturing the whole jump!
@@seejeffdothings I feel like that’s something that someone would say who did fall ;)
David and Jeff definitely could’ve shown more leg in the swim suits Watch out for Julie the super competitor Nothing like a good birthday cak Everyone loves a good wipeout too Jeff is ded
What is length of m8 bolts?
Wow what a great view of your face climbing (or falling, however you wanna call it) Oh no! The troll bump is back Nice rainy biking face too Gravel road in a road bike… been there done that, no thanks A random hand appears Well that haircut escalated
What window did you get?
Hi Jeff, thanks for the video. I am going to build something similar in my van build. Just a friendly reminder, don't forget to install a two stage regulator or the pressure will be too high coming from the tank and will leak from your stove, even when the stove is shut off. Thanks again for sharing your video. Good luck with your build!
What happen to your build?? How much insulation did you need for your Transit??
Nice Jeffrey. old man Dan
Awesome thanks for posting. I’m using the same water heater
Wow! Did you actually finish an Ironman?
Sweet climbing. You’re partner is as white as you! And hooray the troll bump is gone
Are the R-values additive when layered? Also if you’re able to put a flat surface on her curved van maybe you should talk to the people that have tried to make maps for hundreds of years and failed
Super thank you
Just outta curiosity. Why didn't you just use a 30 Amp plug?
Very nice job on both the fan install and the quality of the video. thanks for putting in all the links for your sources. Be well and enjoy your van!
I’m at this process myself. I like your box but curious how will you be able to replace the tank if that sits under the counter? That’s a lot of clearance needed under the counter to lift vertically out of if that makes sense.
It's sitting under my lofted bed! The lofted bed has about 41" of clearance. Take a look at my channel to see my bed video for more details of it. It will be tight to fit myself in the 'garage' to get out the tank, but it should have more than enough space to pull the tank out!
Thanks for sharing! Your build-out process is very interesting. It's just the kind of info I've always wondered about (but knew I'd never do myself)
how much force is required to pull sandwich mounts apart?
I don't know! Might be information that you can find if you take a look at McMaster Carr
We used mineral wool on the side walls and rigid foam board for the ceiling and floor in our 2018 Transit 250 we finished a year ago. We have a very detailed van build series on my channel. My channel just hit 2.5 million views. ZI put in 30A service on the side of the van, but recently took it out because we really do not need 30A ever. And I hated the huge thick cord that plugged into it. I took it out and installed the Noco dual plug cord that you put in. After a year we added a window to the sliding door and Monday we are having a Victron battery to battery charger installed professionally by a van builder an hour away from us. He installed the new window because I was not confident about it even though I installed two bunk windows, the MaxxAir fan and MaxxAir passive vent in the roof. The Victron will protect my alternator and will send power back to one of my Ecoflow Delta units. I use them instead of the standard 100A batteries that most use. We are not van lifers - retired (70 & 67) - and we go on trips and happily return home after a weekend or month. Check out my series if interested . We love it and the ease of camping with it. Blessings and be safe.
Thanks for the info about your build! I’ll check it out!! I’m putting in a window in the sliding door soon, too! More on my electrical system is also coming up in a video soon!
4:10, how is the cute dog completely ignored???

Dude Im guessing no mirror in your house. if there is you need to use it more. You just don't need a handle on your head
Seriously umm ahh can you umm ahh not use umm ahh the word umm umm or ahh ahh the sound of ahh and umm it's pretty bad. In fact we made a drinking game watching ur videos and we went through one bottle of crown royal in 3 of ur videos. And before umm u get all pissed umm off this is meant as constructive criticism if you don't know what that is look it up umm ahh peace out
All that sound kill u got on the walls ( in my opinion is excessive but its ur build ) and u dont have any on them noisy wheel wells.
Do you get paid every time you say or make the sound of Umm or Ahh
4:02 material disappearing. Jeff has learned to break the laws of thermodynamics. Is it the power of the head pony tail? The world may never know (though I suspect yes)
Wow, as always, so much detailed work! You have a lot of patience!
Did you use Bombas socks?!?!? Didn’t see a link ;)
Haha! I was thinking the same thing!
Following. I want to be you at some point soon.
Great quick video.
Thanks! Part 2 coming soon!
It’s very important to prep the hole.
I am in favor of using propane in a van, with safety features like the locker being vented and its door gasketed and an appropriate gas detector. But, I am not sure you can run the propane distribution throughout the van using propane rubber hose, I think it has to be done using flared copper tubing.
Thanks for the input! You're absolutely right - should be using copper tubing. I may be forgoing my oven, but will still have my hot water heater mounted at the rear of my van. My plan is to only use that for showers and I'll turn off the gas to it when not in use so I'll be okay with rubber hosing for that part of my application! If I do end up still having my oven, flared copper tubing will be the way to go!
If u stay with the rubber hose u can get wire loom to wrap around the rubber hoes for Extra Protection
Isn’t the fire resistance of many thousands of degrees usually also rated by the amount of time it is able to be resistant?
Looking forward to hear more about your wiring harness 👍
Very interesting to see how this work is done!
What a timesaver for Independent Cart machine development! Thanks for making the video so straightforward, yet real. Well done, Jeff.
Great job Jeff. Love this video and really shows the integration of Emulate 3D and our Independent Cart Technology. Can't wait to see more of these types of videos from Rockwell Automation.
