dude, #1 your video's are SUPER well done, a nice mix of amateur and pro all in one, to me, that's what youtube is for so keep it up! subscribed and looking forward to learning more. If I ever build, it will probably be a promaster so these video's are super helpful! the manual remote gate valve is choice also. Less hassle..
Dude ..your work is amazing! I spent 30 years as a design engineer for Boeing and am now enjoying retirement .... currently attempting my own van build. Your videos are an invaluable resource. We could have used somebody like you in the industry! Awesome no-how, craftsmanship and overall ingenuity, thanks for posting all these videos. Much appreciated!
Thanks Logan You make this a little less daughting with your awesome videos. I really appreciate the amount of work you put into all this for everyone. I have been researching and prepping for about 2 years and hope to pull the trigger soon on a van . Cheers man and happy trials to you and the family.
Love all your videos, man! Have you considered using an over the wheel well water tank? They come in a few sizes and you could move your plumbing components above the tank, making easier access? Just a thought...
Loving the solid design and clean connections. You've gone with a much bigger water tank than most builds I've looked at. People don't understand how fast they go through water, nor how convenient it is to have that large tank, even if you're not taking showers. Gotta have that big sink and spray faucet too, invaluable. One caveat- too bad that gray water tank can't be turned sideways and fit between floor joist frame supports, about 4" higher. Gonna have to watch out for high centering off road. Don't want to rip out all that sweet effort!
Hey man really informative. Newbie at this. You have the first build where I see your shurflo pump flipped like that. Pros and cons of that? Your idea with the air vent via the top side is unique - will probably do that too
Hi, this video is so helpful! Still wondering though how did you install both hot and cold water for kitchen and shower? Is there som sort of divider for the water output?
whoa those are big holes @6:23. i'm putting up my graywater tanks now and was a bit worried about drilling into that specific angled spot of the floor joist so thanks forthis example. i guess your van hasn't buckled, eh?
Love your channel! A quick question if you have time. How did venting your hot water heater work out? Was thinking there may be an issue with water collecting in a vertical vent. Thanks!!
It’s an emergency vent, if the pump thermostat fails and boils the water, It’s just a direction the gases/hot water can exit. Non-typical scenario and not worth over-engineering a vent system
Yes but needed to cut access holes to mAke bolted connection. Next build I will use Rivnuts (Supernuts) in existing holes. Check these tools / hardware out on Amazon. 3/8” all thread was plenty beefy.
Hey BigLogan! Would you be able to provide details/dimension for the structure you built to support the water tank? I have the same van and after watching your video purchased the same tank. Your insight is much appreciated!
Nice job ! What fitting do you use between the pump and Accumulator ? I have the fitting on the pump to the Accumulator but looks like just one fitting between both and i can't find one......other then get some tubing and another fitting.....thanks and watch every vid of your build !!
BigLogan well I thank you very much! I’ll be ordering one soon and I think the kitchen faucet to !! Great work and hope to see you on the road one day... Thanks again!!
Yea man for sure! What are you building?? Also the accumulator I have linked in description included this fitting... the owofan kitchen sink is awesome for the price! If you buy it, you should use my affiliate link in description! I get a kickback from amazon!
Is there a way to wire in a on/off switch from the bosch WH to the wall in a van? It seems really inconvenient to have to crawl in the garage to turn it on and off?
Just watched all of your build series. Very informative, thanks for sharing your build. I might have missed it, but do you need any type of pump from the shower drain to the gray tank or is it just gravity flow? I am considering putting my gray tank inside the van, so thinking I would need a pump in between the two. Looking forward to seeing the final tour!
No pump needed just gravity here. Yes, so the shower pan drove the gray tank underneath the van for that reason alone. You may need to run a form a sump pump that can be switched on and move the drain water vertically to gray tank inlet port. Good Luck! Yes I'm excited! Van Tour Coming soon!
Is there a reason you wouldn't install the gray tank in the other direction (ports to the front). It seems like it would make your pipe connections shorter.
@@redgiantvan189 main reason originally (and what i've installed in my last 4 vans is for road debris.. now that ive sourced such robust grey water hose / fittings I don't think it will be an issue and also help the Class A customs tank drain more efficently as the van after building still has a nose down stance... good luck on your build!
Watched all the way through, you’re so entertaining! 😂 we are doing a build series over on our channel and if we can be half as entertaining as you I think we’ll be alright.
You are God sent. I prayed for an answer to my build and your video fixed my problem. Thank you! A million times.
you rock dude! great build, may the Lord bless the work of your hands continually.
Your workmanship and attention to detail is impressive. Love watching these episodes!
Thanks so much!
I like your manual gate valve. Great idea!
Thanks! I hope you subscribed to the BLC!

Thanks Trevor! Gray tank is at same level as Exhaust pipe in this orientation! It’s the best one can do w exhaust running down middle of van!

No issues as long as the pump inlet is flooded, this pump will operate just fine!
“She’s a beaut Clark!” I love it.
Thanks Nick! Rock on bro!
You’ve probably said this before... what is the name/brand of the kitchen sink faucet? Thanks and keep up the great work. I really enjoy your videos!
Hey Jon, it’s a Torva 15x17” (9” deep). Intended for under mounting but the flange looks fine as a drop in. Link below in the description to amazon!
BigLogan awesome! Thank you sir! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

All good but we add rivnuts to those members now and it’s a lot easier install!

What’s up Jon thanks for watching! Amazon description below. I thought my accumulator came with this... I’ll check my order history
Shurflo 2088 Straight Adapter - 1/2"-14 F-NPT Swivel Nut X 1/2"-14 F-NPT Swivel Nut, Nylon, P/N 244-2866

And yes I’ll be getting some stuff with your links !
Never thought about winterizing a P trap !
Is there a way to wire in a on/off switch from the bosch WH to the wall in a van? It seems really inconvenient to have to crawl in the garage to turn it on and off?
That is how we convert every van. We use a rotary timer on the control panel to operate the heater!

Where did you buy the hose for filling water? Thanks!
Lowe’s, 1-1/2” PVC tube
That wood frame of fresh water tank is enough to carry the total weight when you filled it with water?
Very robust. Yes sir. Mostly 2x4’s and 2x3’s

Are you gonna lay flooring the in the garage area?
I have a special idea for that so yes and no.... coming soon!
HepVo is so much better than a P trap. No smells and more storage space on your end.
