- Bella is our youngest Chihuahua puppy. This video features just a few cute clips of her from her first time home at 8 weeks old to 6 months old. Right now she is on pace to be the smallest Chihuahua we have ever had, but boy does she have a big personality! She is a long haired Chihuahua who has lots of energy- will probably try out agility when she is a little more mature and passes obedience classes.

That's Lily for sure! I really need to train her to wear boots cause she could stay out in the snow for quite a while. Bella was just a wee pup last winter so this winter will be super interesting to see what she thinks of the cold and snow!
My chichi puppy was 8 weeks old on March 3,2023… i have a lovely cow cat that loves fogs and she really needed a playmate(being a solitary indoor cat!) . They lay and chase each other and have zoomies through the house chasing and wrestling each other! Its so adorable! My pup’s name is “Biscuit”, because she’s the color of my homemade biscuits! She has the same gumption as yours, she has no problem standing up for herself if shevthinks she needs to! I love that about Chihuahuas! They are little pistols!

My Chi was exactly like this one...coloring, hair, behavior, sounds, size, attitude, etc. She was like this until she was 16! She died when she was 17 and I am still grieving. The only difference is the ears. I made her ears stay floppy by rubbing them a lot when she was growing up. It made her look like a puppy her whole life. Total strangers would tell me how cute my PUPPY was when she was a senior.

Omg I’m a big guy 6’5 240 and we got a little deer head and I would pet her with my pinky that’s how tiny she was . She’s year n half old now. She’s all energy high speed and hates the squirrels in our yard . Best dog I ever had n she cuddles with me first in bed then when I get up she jumps in with the kid for n hour before I get her up for school and then sleeps with momma cause she works nights love her so much . I love the color patterns on your little guy

Yes, those little ones do grow up fast. They are the best next to a Great Dane. I'm not shutting you. The both act as the opposite. They get along so good. Your little one is so cute.

So adorable, I am trying to get my mom, the sewing expert, to add on a puppy pouch to one of my hooded sweatshirts to tote around my 3 lb. chi!! I think just for couch time, computer time, and just getting around the house it would be more comfy than a bulky carrying bag, what do you think??? Would you use one? She sells specialized coats and dog beds on ETSY, I thought this would sell!
I think that's a great idea! I have this type of sash thing (kinda fits like a messager bag, but without the bag part) and while it is useful it does fit really strange and awkward at times. I've heard of people modifying hoodies before but I've never tried it cause all of my Chi's are around 9 pounds and up, I just figured they would sag too much in the hoodie. But Bella is our newest and our smallest, and I would totally try something like that out with her! What's your mom's Etsy shop?

I have a dear head chi and he’s 5 months and weighs not even 2 pounds. I’m wondering will he grow anymore because you can still hold him in one hand he’s so tiny. He’s a dear head. He got his adult teeth. I think he’s probably a “teacup” because she’s so tiny and was the runt of the litter as well. Thanks for sharing your video your puppy is so adorable ❤️❤️❤️
Sounds adorable! Bella was 2 pounds for quite a while too! Now she is just over a year and is a staggering 5 pounds lol. I bet your baby will grow just a little bit more :)

Haha, potty training hasn’t been so good for me 🙃. My other dog Lily picked up on using puppy pads immediately. I thought wow that was easy. But then I got Bella and it took her a lot longer to potty train! She’s good now but we made a lot of mistakes in the house! 😅 all I’ve ever heard is that you have to be super consistent with it, get them outside or on a puppy pad as soon as the dog is showing signs they have to potty. But I think that is easier said then done sometimes!

How did you get the older chihuahua to befriend the younger chihuahua
Well, we have a few other older dogs in the house so I'll start with the seniors- they really don't care about much anymore and they all have their own special spots that the little puppy wouldn't be able to get into (so if they needed time away from the puppy they could do that, although we didn't let the puppy antagonize them either). Now for Lily (white fluffy dog) and Gracie (brown fluffy dog). We weren't sure how those two would react. At the time this video was shot Lily was 2 and Gracie was 6. We had socialized Lily since she was a puppy so she was around a lot of dogs all the time in training classes, so we thought introducing a new dog would be fine and it worked out good! Gracie was used for breeding before we got her so I think her maternal instinct just kicked in. None of our dogs are reactive or aggressive so I think that helped everyone get used to the puppy faster too!

My Chihuahua is such a good dog but a lot to handle some times he just lay down and stare at the wall I want to get another dog but that's a lot of work and my dog seems super lonely. What should I do ?
Hmmm that's interesting! How old is he? Some of our seniors really only care about sleeping and eating anymore. Does he just do that before he's going to nap? Do you have any friends with Chihuahuas? That way you could do like "play dates" and see how your Chi acts around other Chi's.

Hi! When I first got Bella at 8 weeks old, she weighed less than 2 pounds. Now she is fully grown and weighs 5 pounds.

Long haired Chihuahua. I thought she was a mix, but we had her DNA tested- 100% Chihuahua.

Im allergic to dogs im so sad
Oh no! Well, I kind of get it. Earlier in the year I found out my niece is allergic to dogs (among many other things). She was so sad. Luckily though, her reactivity to them is on the low side, so she would have to be around my dogs nonstop for a whole day before she would have any allergic reaction.
