Hey Ry ! Thank you so much ! haha add-a-circuits are great ! did that first time when was installing backup cam / dash cam last year following your vid ) ah yes the truck is slowly moving the direction that I want to take it ) I know it still long way to go but its a fun journey Thank you glad you like it too 😀👍
Nice work! This is pretty much exactly how I did mine on my 05' with almost identical LEDs. I personally think it's the best looking array and position for these on an X.
Hey thank you very much ! I feel that way the same that those spots are the best location for the lights in there ! ) how did you secure the lights on your grill ?
Thank you very much ! Glad you liked it ! ))) it for sure adds some style to X and looks so good in the dark )) will be looking forward how it will come out on your Xterra )
This is awesome man! I didn’t realize they make a fuse circuit like that. I’ve wanted to do this, but wasn’t sure how. Electrical is always something I’m not sure of, but this gives a little bit more confidence to try 🤙
Hey I ma so glad and happy if this video was some help to you ! just check your fuses where you will connect and it all should be fine ! thank you again and goodluck on your project ! do let me know how will it go )
Hey!! I hope that this video might some what helpful ! but do please come back and let me know how you did yours would love to see them how they turn out ! and goodluck!
Thank you very much ! they do have I think 6 or 7 different color LEDs that they sell . and now they just came out with duel color on same LED so you can switch by turning them on/off . but I dont think it would be too card just will need to do slight different wiring so you can unplug them and plug new ones in that's about it.
Those lights dont pull alot of amps.. they range from 40 mA to 80mA thats like 0.04 Amps to 0.08 Amps so if you were to use this lights you can even get away with 5 amp or 10 amp fuse.. ( if my math is correct ) lol
as for the wire on the lights I believe they were 18awg those lights are very small and dont require thick gage wire ) as for the bolts I used M6 very short bolts to mount them to the grill allen type but you can see what fits best your style
@@tylercorkum3569 Oh... Honestly I think it was 5/8th if I am not mistaking .. but I just had one those those plastic clams with me ( the one I used to secure the lights ) and I tired few hoses to see what fits better )
Thank you very much ! . As to the wire I used one of the low voltage wire that I have in the boxes from work its a 2 conductor wire 18ga stranded wire ) hope it helps . Im sure you can find that wire at any hardware store or home depot or places like that
I've got my lights installed, all black wires together and grounded to a bolt on the frame, all red wires together and ready to plug into the fuse box. But the in-line add-a circuit is too big/bulky to fit in many of the fuse slots on my 2015 XTerra Pro 4X. And the weirdest thing is that when I plug the add-a-fuse into the slots that are reachable and will fit- -like audio and a lower front seat power outlet- - the lights still stay on even after the key is off and out of the ignition! I'm stumped!
@@davidglenn61 what fuses did you buy ? they come in few different sizes and small one should fit.. it did for me.. and where are you pluggin in your fuse ( red wire ) ? you need to plug it in to the right spot that only gives power when truck is running
@@DIY_AUTO_PHOTO Thank you very much for your several replies so far. Very kind of you. I bought the Littelfuse mini add-a-circuit pigtail. All the fuses in my '15 Xterra Pro 4X are mini fuses. I tried to do it exactly the way you did. My first choice was fuse #36 (front combo lamps). Very awkward to get to it, and because of the location, I can't actually get the pigtail inserted. The red load wire coming from the tap is too rigid and blocks full insertion into the fuse slot. Next, I tried fuse #25 (key switch- - whatever that is). Bingo! Raptor lights on! But when I turn the key off and pull the key, lights stayed on! Then I tried #29 (audio). Bingo again- - lights on. But also won't go off when key is removed. Fuse #37 (rear combo lamps) also worked. But each time, once raptor lights came on, they stayed on. I am completely baffled.
@@davidglenn61 No problem try to help as much as I can. now let me ask you are you going to the fuses inside on the passenger side or to the ones under the hood ? also is your taillight switch turned off when you do that ? or you left it in on position by mistake ? Also I believe the name of the fuse where to put it you looking for is ( F7 = running lights )
Was about to buy but wanted to confirm: Diameter: 11 mm Color: Amber Housing Color: Black Style: Aluminum (1W) Lens:No Lens Was not too sure about the aluminum and no lens?
That is correct ! this is what I got for my truck ) and used in this video Good luck on your install ! would be awesome later on to see the final result ! ))
That fuse panel just pops out in a second or two for easier access.
Right ! that way can disconnect it at any time if you longer need or want to use it
This is amazing I wanted to put that lights to my X 01, but I didn't know how to wire it, thanks for posting this video, this helped me a lot!
Im glad this video was helpful to you!! what color lights did you get ?
Yes! I love add-a-circuits! Great work man. I love the way that looks! 👍👍

Very creative. Perfect color for the Halloween/Thanksgiving season. How difficult will it be the change the colors for different times of the year?

Do u have to use a 15 amp fuse for the amber lights or can u go lower?

Excellent video! But what gauge wire did you use to connect the four LEDs to ground and the add-a-fuse? Is it just 18ga lamp cord?
