my friend today I installed my TRD RAPTOR grill and this grill came in ready to install the sensor
everything went well all I did was unplug as per video the sensor from the top after re install
of grill no problem did not hook up the lights to fuse box ,went to store and the radar light came on saying clean sensor stopped at store when going home sensor was working after driving a few blocks sensor light came back on? we to auto zone bought electric cleaner and dryer applied
plugged back in everything ok ,after ten blocks of driving sensor light came back on? please help bub8golf@yahoo.com
Hey I was wondering if u know where I can do the add a fuse for the raptor lights to work off the parking lights instead of the headlights....mine are hooked up to the headlights and I want mine to come on when parking lights are just one do u know which one to plug into the fuse box to have them come on with just parking lights
I think the funniest thing I've heard is ppl saying it's illegal 🤣 maybe in Cali? I've had it allover the Westcoast OR, WA NM Texas allover not pulled over yet
Hi Jesse, I have a 23 Frontier, I plugged into the accessorie fuse, they stay on even when the truck is off, can you suggest a fix for this ? Thanks Tommy...

What fuse did you connected to? I have raptor lights already and I’m trying to put some alpharex headlights on my SR5 but don’t know what other fuse to use?

I only had a lil trouble making sure not to pinch the wires when putting back on the cover/cap but I made it work

@@AngeloU24 yeah you gotta follow the harness with the rest of the wires and group it with them and then it fits all nicely and tucked in
With that setup, do the raptor lights turn off/on with the headlight switch?
@scarillo31 yeah, there’s also a fuse to wire it to so it’s on even with the DRLs but not sure which fuse that would be

@@JesseRizo Something happened today that I was wondering if you could help me out in resolving. All of a sudden the LEDs stopped working. I popped the fuse box cover off and the add-a-fuse had become loose. However, I did notice a sharp crease in the add-a-fuse line from where the fuse box cover snaps down. Is there a way to run the add-a-fuse wire out of the fuse box without it getting crimped?

Hi great video i installed these just below the grill normally where people put a light bar. I have a question, I'm getting a custom grill with tacoma led lettering and i'm not sure how to power it, do you recommend just tapping into the add fuse i used for the raptor lights? If so would i need bigger fuse sizes? Thanks

Man the raptor lights really set that front grill off. I have been debating whether or not to do this on the ZR2. Looks great.
That would be a different look I havnt seen them on a zr2 🤔
Great video. I used different lights they are just round amber LEDs. The “add a fuse” tap was a new piece for me so that made the wiring super simple, went to the fuel pump fuse so they work as extra day time running lights. 7 lights in the same row you used. Thanks again.
if you add to the fuel pump does it go on and off wit hthe truck as the daytime running lights?

Yes the lights go on when the truck starts. I have 7 LEDs across the top of the grip as running lights. They show up better than the ones in the headlight. Using the Add-a-Tap means I can take them out easily.

and did you still use a 10A and a 15A fuse to plugin to the add a fuse connector?
@@trentswinarchuk3881sorry for the delay been cleaning up the Gladiator and working in the yard. But, no I used the F-04 on the edge nearest the motor sided edge of the fuse box. It is a 20 amp so just put in a 20 amp fuse on both. Massive overkill in the little LED s. I’m up to 15 bulbs now. 2 - in each of the outside vertical 3 in the center. Almost looks like a light bar … just not as bright.

Great vid. Only issue was the outer lights on the grill would not fit,I had to slightly trim the sides of the LEDs using scissors and then they clicked in perfectly.
I had to do the same with my Tacoma I just used a file though

I installed 4 lights already on top of the grille but I'm thinking of installing another 4 on the bottom. Can I use the same fuse that I installed with the first 4 that I used?

Great video. I have been trying to figure out where to plug in my fuse and your video steered me in the right direction. You mentioned 10A h-LP RH-LO, My 1st gen sequoia doesn’t have those exact numbers in my fuse box. The closest I see is 15A h-LP RH. Is that the one I am looking for? If so what number of fuse should I go with?
Jesse one more question for you I have a 2020 sr5 I don’t have the DRLs headlights I like for the raptor lights to run when the engine is running what is the best place to tap into maybe ignition maybe? 🧐

Question: why did you have to put two fuses (15 & 10) in the fuse adaptor? My kit came with only
one 10a fuse.
Do these turn on without the head lights or are they only with headlights? I have my raptor lights plugged into the DRL fuse and want mine to turn on with DRLs but also turn off when I have my light stock turned to DRL off.
How is the add a fuse working? Also can I ask why that fuse? I’ve seen a few recommended is why I ask!

Dude you are the man. The instructions from the company I got mine from didn’t include details on putting the fuses into the wiring provided and I was ripping my hair out for two days trying to figure it out.

Hi Jesse, I was wondering if you could help me out. I have 2008 taco but my fuse box is different from yours. I don’t have that fuse location. What location in my fuse box should I put add a fuse?
Is this can be powered or tap on 5 amp fuses?
Anyway you would know if these would work for a 2020 RAV4 TRD off-road? Grills look to have the same spacings
I don’t to be honest but check the website I linked in the description box and see if they have a option for yours
Is it possible to install that add a fuse to your side markers or your exhilarate lights rather than the headlights
When you set the lights up in the wide 4 pattern, did you have to use a Dremel to fit the two outside lights? I was going to set mine up like that and the lights on the end wouldn't fit. Needed a little bit cut out to fit right. It's also an aftermarket TRD grill, not the factory one.
Can u connect it to fog lamps instead of conncting it on DRL? What if u just want to turn it on together with the fog lamps?

My understanding is that they are mandatory for certain size vehicles, optional for large trucks, and neither required nor expressedlyprohibited for smaller vehicles.
Is the lights going to be on all the time or it will be turn on when using the amber side marks?

what fuse is that ? i have a 2000 tacoma that ima install the lights on i did it on my 2014 cherokee but i had to tap into the lighter fuse since that was the only one that didnt have running power after turning the car off. soooooo what fuse is that ? lol. headlights?
I pulled the same fuse as you did and my lights work but only on high beams not sure how that works as I pulled the low beam fuse? Any help would be appreciated thanks

Love the video, question: I’ve seen different videos with people stating different fuses for the add a fuse. I just bought a kit that came with 2 5 amp fuses, but you mention a 15 on top and 10 on the bottom. I’m really confused about this. Hoping you can set the record straight. Thanks again
Mine came with a 5 amp fuse but I went and bought a 15 and did what this guy did and I haven’t had any issues…what’d you wind up doing?
@@pewbangpew8109 i thought the accessory output (15A) cant be higher Amp rating that the vehicle fuse (10A). i thought it was supposed to be equal or less
I plugged it in that same spot and the lights are always on
And how did you run the wire out of the fuse box? Did you trim the seal or what if you just put the top back on the fuse box it crimps the wire?
My add a fuse grill lights came with another fuse connected that didn't fit in the fuse box like a car amp fuse but the same size. Have you seen this? I just installed it and it works but haven't seen one after watching the install videos.

Trying to put the fuse box cover back on its starting to cut the wire sleeve. Is there a channel to put the red wire in?
