Wendigo well no. That was that they believe that the dying headphone jack would be a waste of space. That being said, it was no doubt force-marketing for airpods
Nah man, it's because they can make the battery on a gigantic tablet a few cubic millimeters bigger! SO much extra battery life....... that you can use to power the thirsty bluetooth module to connect to your airpods!!!
I'd say greed over stupidity. They know that the people that are willing to buy a phone without a headphone jack are dumb enough to not think about buying more of their over-priced accessories in dongle form. Also, they get to push their own branded goods over anything else. It's predatory market practice under the guise of innovation. It's Apple's way.
3:14 That is just flat out incorrect. Wireless transmission of audio delivers objectively poorer sound quality and is more prone to interference than cables. And as for digital connectors, there is going to be a digital to analog conversion anyway, the only difference is that it happens inside the headphone rather than the phone. Not to mention that the best sounding headphones still use a jack for connection, so you're going to need a headphone jack if you want to maximize sound quality, even if a better connector could exist in theory.
Amen, brother! I'd like to add that analog interference is not even a problem at such short cable lengths. In the professional audio world balanced audio connectors are used. but in those cases cable lengths greater than 5m are common.
Yeah but the best sounding headphones you are talking about are studio headphones and thats different, you are not going to be going to the gym with studio hp worth thousands of $. Not to mention that those hp use different type of jack than your 15$ earpods so you wouldnt use them anyway. And unless you are really fanatic into music using great headphones, the best sound formats and have excelent hearing you will hardly notice any significant difference going from cable to wireless. I have over 100$ headphones, listening to cheap downloads or from youtube etc like most people do and I hardly hear any real difference when I use them wireless or with jack.

“They need the space.” No, untrue. Strange Parts added a headphone jack to a iPhone. It’s just a empty space where the headphone would be now. “Waterproof” many manufactures waterproof phones with a headphone jack. I use my headphone jack much more then I go swimming with my phone.
He broke like 10 screens while doing that and he put it right on the corner, that extra space was used to help the phone sustain accidental corner drops, if they had put the jack there the screen would shatter as soon as you dropped the phone and it hit the corner. The waterproof headphone jack is patented and costs royalties meaning it drives the price up to give us something that most of us don't use anyway... no thanks. The water resistance is for accidents, not for swimming with your phone... if the water gets in, the warranty doesn't cover you. Many people accidentally dropped their phone in the water, they are most abused pieces of technology on the planet, so water resistance makes much more sense than a crappy 3 pin connector from 60s that takes so much space.
@jackthegamer Nope even from 2 meters the iPhone dropped on a corner does not break, you get scratches and dings on corner, so it's all cosmetic and both the screen and back glass are still fine, this is because there is some room behind the frame which really helps to absorb the damage... adding a headphone jack which is pushing against the screen is the total opposite... there just wasn't room for it.

Almost all of these points are meaningless once you factor in samsung... 1. Removed it for water resistance - S7 and up have all had water resistance, while keeping the headphone jack 2. Removed for space for more features - Samsung literally fit a pen in their phone, while keeping the massive amount of features they normally bring 3. Removed for a bigger battery - Samsung fits very large batteries in their phones, with a headphone jack, and with the note, *with a pen* I do believe if apple didn't remove it, someone else would have, but it was much too early. Bluetooth headphones arent there yet
Sorry friend, but Samsung have one of the worst real world battery lifes out there. Don't try pointing me towards synthetic tests saying otherwise, i've already seen them. I've also owned a samsung and had to get rid of it after 9 months because of it's attrocious battery life, not to mention how fast their batteries degrade too. The only way a Samsung device's battery could get better is if it exploded. Oh wait, they tried that feature already. Didn't go down too well. You do have a valid point with the first and second points though, although most people never even touch the S Pen. The main reason people buy a note is purely for the larger screen. There is another point to be made as far as space goes too. Have you seen the inside of a Samsung phone? They still use the same small pack style batteries that have been in use for over a decade. They are generally much smaller than what other manufacturers use today, which begs the question: With the fact samsung have atrocious battery life and degrade very quickly, are their batteries even the amount of Amps they say they are, or are they modding the battery's built in firmware to report a higher number than is true? That would certainly explain how when I had an S7, it always died within 5 hours of being unplugged. I have never had that bad of a battery life with ANY phone before, Androids included. Even when I had a Sony Xperia Z2, that lasted all day despite having a 2K display, without problems. And I'm not the only one either. Every friend of mine who has/had a samsung reports the same complaints. Even Linus himself had to release a follow up video to his S9 review where he initially praised the battery - because he realised after some time that the battery is in fact, absolutely terrible. And by some time, I mean a mere few months, never mind the expected minimum device lifespan of 1-2 years.
Manufacturer: Were making it more water resistent. Me: do u think i swim with my phone? Lol Manufacturer: were just struggling for space. Me: not that i feel like i need half the stuff they throw in the phone, but the note 9 managed it and it was the best phone of its year imo. Manufacturer: wireless is the future. Me: my wired headphones are really high quality and im yet to see any wireless pair that even gets close. Maybe in 20 years that might change. Also i dont have to charge my headphones like the wireless pairs. Which in itself makes it a better option.
and Samsung: Here's a phone with every little stupid thing you asked for. It's thinner than the last one, is still water resistant and the headphone jack is going nowhere! Thank god that there are companies still out there that actually listen to their customers. I REFUSE to buy a phone without basic features! The fact they might cram in 50 mAh more of battery (at best) is completely irrelevant to me when the phone consumes more power with fucking bluetooth on anyways! Not to mention you have to deal with the tiny battery of the wireless atrocity itself and on constant basis. Fuck that :)
Manufacturer: Water resistance is for accidents, so if water comes in contact with your phone it is not a big deal. Manufacturer: the headphone jack takes lots of space for a 3 pin connector, could be used so much better and not all devices are same, note9 is a phablet and it's large, not even is the same category Manufacturer: Bluetooth sound quality is already good enough and smartphones aren't audiophile devices. They are generally used outside with a lot of background noise. Make it two years especially since we will force everyone to use the new technology, which means a lot of testing and that will speed up it's development. Also your wired earbuds are already "charging" on your phones battery, this is why you have these annoying wires that tangle, break and catch into everything they can.
What about removing the battery from smartphones so they can be super thin and light and whenever you want to use them you can just plug an external battery in the USB port
what if we made phones that have screens that are also transparent solar panels... then have capacitors that can hold a charge of a few hours! Im a genius!

Same. I charge my phone and use the headphone to speak to my friends and family all the time. So if I have to use a dongles I can't charge my phone. Also with dongles there are digital and analog dongles and some phones only use digital and other use analog dongles. So if you buy the wrong dongles it won't work with it. Using bluetooth headsets means I have to charge it and if I forget then well I can't use it. Also when traveling all planes ban the use of bluetooth headphones when it is in the air and the you actually need to have a regular headphone jack to connect to their 3.5mm jack to listen to audio. And the Samsung Galaxy S5, one of the first phones to have waterproofing, needed a cover for the charging port, and not the headphone jack, showing that it was easier to waterproof the headphone jack than the charging port. I'm gonna stick with my theory that they're removed to push the company's wireless headphones which coincidentally happen to release when a company gets rid of a headphone jack.
You got that right. Waterproofing is as weak of an argument as space saving, these are just excuses to push out more expensive solutions. It is no coincidence but a planned out strategy to get people to spend more money.

1. Wireless headphones are expensive and take a bit to connect compared to just plug and play of the headphone jack. 2. Bluetooth headphones require to be charged and if they do not use the same connector as your other devices then that is another new charger you have to carry around. 3. Latency in mobile gaming which (for better or worse) is a big deal is a major issue. Also mid game disconnections, re-connections require exiting the game most of the time. 4. Weight and heat are definitely concerns, those are the issues that would need to be addressed, new technology and innovations are always in development so with lighter components and better heat transfer solutions, it could be possible. In all honesty I thought the newer Samsung phones were close to perfect, but the poor android skin and the fact that they can't help but push Bixby down people's throat was a major turn off. In terms of public perception and marketing, developing a good brand image is hard and takes time, however not impossible. So you've added a cost factor there regardless of a DAC even being there, I'm still assuming analog out will be present (adding a DAC will be yet another cost again, which can never mach it's absence in the replaceable device's end). In case it has a DAC, add to that list power wasted on an extra power conversion stage, that would not be necessary if the DAC was inside the device that already needed those power rails inside. Not to mention that while USB Type C can be reversed, the round connector can, well, rotate even while plugged to infinite steps. Quality wise we could already use better external DACs (and thus USB headphones/amps) long before, so that's not an added advantage either. Not to mention that the DAC would have to be better than what the sending device has to begin with, not the case with the vast majority of USB headsets out there, that barely match a PC's on-board sound.

@@Alovon Liking your own comment I see. :P 64 GB is ridiculously small because two thirds of it is already taken by the OS. I fill the remaining storage in a few hours, then I need to off-load it to somewhere else. No thank you. Besides, memory cards are orders of magnitudes cheaper than the same phone with better internal storage one step up. I could buy a terabyte of microSD cards from the price difference. I will not budge. My next phone will either have everything my LG G4 has just more of it, or I won't buy one, it's that simple.
the first 2 factors I look at when considering whether to buy a phone or not nowadays: 1) a headphone jack 2) no notches these are things that weren't even in question a few years ago and now it immediately cuts half of the phones out there out of the picture. It's always disappointing when you see a video talking about a phone and the phone looks really, really good and has a lot of cool features just for you to find out that there's a big ugly notch and there's no headphone jack. Huge turn off. The phone would have to offer something truly spectacular, like transforming into a flying car that can bring me anywhere in the world without ever needing to recharge, in order for me to even consider overlooking those 2 issues.
All the BS reasons given out by companies are simply to eek out some more money from you.. S8/S9/Note all have headphone jacks and are both thin and water resistant..
rahul nargundkar Don’t worry, Samsung is removing too. They only keep at right now because they know it’s Samsung fanboys that go LOOK IT HAS A HEADPHONE JACK and that makes people buy it. None of these tech companies are on your side. They all want one thing, money.
Apple: "Oh yeah we removed the headphone jack because it occupied space" * *Removes headphone jack on tablet as well even though it's got like 10x the size of a phone* * Also, who tf buys phones cuz they're thin? i can't be the only one that hates that trend right? Make the thing better not smaller. It already fits perfectly in my pocket
I love my Moto e4+ I just got. It's kinda large compared to other phones, cuz of the huge battery. Hate tiny phones. Can't type on it or hold it comfortably.
I agree. I work as a tailor, work with my hands, have done for over forty years, and I fumble with the thin phone to try to hold it just right so I don't accidentally press some button or other. Ergonomics dictates that a certain amount of thickness makes for much more convenient handling.
Honestly thin phones are uncomfortable to me, they're getting so thin it feels like holding a dull razor blade between your hands. A nice mildly thick phone is a lot more comfortable to use.
not to mention the iphone XR is thicc af. you'd think that they'd integrate aptx and aptx hd bluetooth codecs so their bluetooth quality is better. but nope, they just made the speakers on the phone better, because apparently people would rather hold their phone to their face to hear music than use headphones
What thin phone? Samsung put a glass back on our Galaxy S9+. It needs to be protected so we have a case on the phone. It's no longer thin. Thin isn't important to me. Weight is.
So I have to buy a new set of earphones/headphones because Apple wanted a slightly thinner phone? My computer has 1/8" jacks. My integrated amplifier for my turntable has a 1/4" jack. All of my musical equipment have 1/8", 1/4" jack (or XLR) outputs. My phone and my mp3 player also both have 1/8" jack outputs. The beauty of the jack is that it is so universal and it is a tried and tested connection that has been perfectly fine for audiophiles and music producers for decades. I simply wouldn't buy a phone that doesn't have a jack. Judging by the comments, this is not an uncommon view.
Robbie Grant They just want money. There’s not really any defense. All of these companies including oneplus, google ext. just copy apple to get more money.
@@hryank33 I actually dobt that. Yeah I'm sure like half a decade from now, maybe, but, wired headphones are just more convient and arguably cheaper, plus you don't have to charge it. I think a hybrid would actually be better though. Think about a pair of ear buds with a separate headphone dongle that can switch devices near instantly.
S.J 'Squid' Blazkowicz I actually have a hybrid set of headphones, they have a two way wire that can be unplugged from the headphones to enable bluetooth mode, which esentially means I can go with either bluetooth or headphone jack connection depending on what I feel like...
A true no brainer smartphone would be one you didn't have to care about wires, about where to plug what. The true concept Apple is always aspiring to get to is a 0 Port Phone. Just take off all of your hate and think about a future in which charging, listening to music and transferring your photos would not require a single cable! Ultimately they are striving for this, although they will gain a lot of money from their dongles they will gain even more when their smartphone is the easiest to use ever.
1:19 Don't most if not all desktop computers have headphone jacks (or several ways to connect audio), Bluetooth/WiFi is reserved for top end models? If there was any truth to their "water proof excuse", why do we still have charging ports, speaker grills, microphones, and side buttons?
*thing works and millions are happy* *No, we need to increase the price and cut millions of functional headphones/peripherals out of the tech loop so people will buy our branded, overpriced headphones*
And apple owns beats. People are that much of idiot that if beats sell a headphone sounding distorted like hell, they'd still buy it at $999 calling it an 'innovation'. Oh wait... Their monitor stand costs $999.
Hmm, lets see. 1. They need the space. It was demonstrated that a headphone jack could be added to an iPhone 7,8, 10 by using a method that takes up MORE space than the port does if soldered to the board. Not a valid excuse. 2. they need waterproofing. The headphone jack port is a cylindrical tube, with metal contacts (that can flex). This can (and has, a la the Galaxy S5 Sport in 2014, and current models have similar space for components) be waterproofed EASILY. This isn't a valid excuse. 3. Analog quality is worse than digital Actually no. analog just takes more bandwidth. That's it. It's a circuit issue. We have SOLVED this for a LONG time with a DAC built inside phones, that can easily handle CD quality audio (and with premium devices, FLAK quality output). Interference isn't really an issue either. The signal is quite shielded if you have any decent headphones. But then again, that's not Apple's fault, that's your shitty headphones. This isn't a valid excuse. 4. They wanted lighting royalties. Oh, you bet. I've heard that royalties can EASILY be $5-$15 of EVERY lightning device sold. Every one. That's ABSURD. Obviously 3rd parties pass this cost onto you, so it's really just your money. 5. AirPods were their solution. I'm still a bit torn, because they didn't make any BEATS branded headphones that had a lightning connector, so I'm unsure they would prefer their AirPods over beats they recently bought a few years ago. But the idea is there, and I'm sure sales DID increase, so I believe this was definitely discussed before doing the decision to remove it. So the main consensus is: It wasn't due to waterproofing, space, or audio quality. It was likely due to penny pinching, forcing lightning royalties (especially adapters for existing tech as that's cheaper for users), increasing AirPod sales, and making people more comfortable with wireless audio, such that HomePod and Siri could benefit. It really was anti-consumer.
*All* headphones are analogue. Even Bluetooth ones. The difference is where you put the DAC. And you're less likely to get a quality DAC inside a pair of bluetooth headphones.
for point 5, they likely realized beats were just garbage sold for their name only, something they could easily do themselves with a smaller item that has lower material costs
@@illdeletethismusic Oh they MOST certainly bought it for name and recognition and NOT for the tech. They wanted to tie the apple brand to beats to seem "hip."
One reason is probably because they are expensive to repair the headphone jack, and it is something that is easily damaged . But that should make iphones cheaper, as they then don't have to worry about warranty repairs of headphone jacks.
It's amazing how every single change being made to smartphones in recent years is the exact opposite of what I actually want. I want thicker phones that are sturdier rather than a thin phone that breaks if you even look at it wrong, I want generous bezels so I can actually hold the phone while viewing it, rather than having to gingerly grasp the edge, I want physical buttons that I can press without having to look rather than digital buttons that don't work if the phone freezes or glitches out, and last but not least, I want a fucking headphone jack. The only change in recent years I like is efforts to improve battery life, although often it is undermined by also adding more demanding software that completely negates the battery improvements.
"I want physical buttons that I can press without having to look rather than digital buttons that don't work if the phone freezes or glitches out" To be fair in the situation where your phone freezes or glitches out even if you did have physical buttons the program that's supposed to be registering those button presses.... is frozen or glitched out... so as a result it doesn't matter whether your input is coming from a digital or physical button. It won't do anything either way. The buttons that do work even in those cases are handled by the OS and again, it doesn't matter if they're digital or physical. If the OS can still operate fine, the buttons will work. If it can't then you're shit out of luck either way and will have to boot the phone.
This is honestly just not a good argument. The headphone jack is still incredibly useful for many, very common applications, where Bluetooth is either clunky to set up or not available. The space it takes up in the phone is negligible. They can argue "we want to make the most out of our phones" as much as they want but there are many, many other ways of doing that that DON'T require removing possibly one of the most basic and needed features in a MEDIA PLAYING DEVICE.
There's no such thing as headphones that connect digitally because you still need a digital to analog converter to be able to listen to them. All Apple has done is make you buy the digital to analog converter separately instead of building one into the phone that you pay over a thousand dollars for. This isn't a matter of practicality or enhancing the user experience, it's just intense corporate greed.
I don’t think so Linus... I have not accepted this trend at all. This is the main reason why I haven’t upgraded my iPhone. I absolutely love the convenience of the headphone jack and probably won’t settle without it
Because it's redundant. 3.5 mm jack has only one function, to output audio signal, which a USB-C port or whatever Apple uses can already do ~100000 times more efficiently. The 3.5 mm jack is just an extra hole, extra components and waste of space in a device that's supposed to be compact and efficient.
@@Mornys one component extra (plus wires) isnt an issue when phones are $1000 plus. also the space is wasted? the only real dimension that gets affected is the thickness of the device, and any device thinner than a 3.5mm jack is too small IMO

Yea i can feel you it's so freaking annoyingly frustrating at this point, respect to sony for keeping headphone jack on their flagships while making absolutely the best wireless earbuds in the market, so much respect for them.
easy solution: make your own battery banks, get rechargable high-capacity batteries for it (you can use AA'S but i'd suggest getting 18650's since they hold so much more battery life) and then get a LG/Sony phone or even a motorola.
Nope, a lot of people use laptops for music production so they need minimal delay time and good audio, that being said I doubt they will remove the jack from laptops, not only that but laptops don’t need to be water resistant.
Let's add a function to unlock your phone with facial recognition, so let's add a new chip to do this job instead of the headphone jack and replace the audio with the already present bluetooth. - Why did you remove my headphone jack? - Because you're too dumb to remember a password.
Soryr, but no. There's no legitimate reason. Every smartphone manufacturer before this nonsense somehow found it in themselves to put a headphone jack in there. "Oh but it's easier to make waterproof". So what? Don't drop your phone in the toilet, or, better yet, just waterproof the damn headphone jack like everybody else. It's bad enough that we can't get a phone with decent bezels or a removable battery anymore, but this is getting just too stupid. What, do we have to buy "vintage" smartphones now if we want basic functionality?

Headphone jacks are on literally any piece of tech that outputs audio and isn't a Bluetooth only device. You'll find them on radios, cars, desktop computers, laptops, studio audio equipment, tablets and up until recently phones, I'm pretty certain you will not see the headphone jack disappear from a computer because it's "old". It's fine if you don't use any headphone jack at all but don't act like your experience is everyone else's. In the end this is detrimental to consumers like you and me, you're getting less features and low quality replacements for a higher cost.
@@HatsOnJohn I don't necessarily agree with them, but that is the business model manufacturers have to push for new technology. The problem was with finding a unified standard for USB type C which phone manufacturers failed to do so. Call them shills or whatever but I remember when MKBHD, Linus and others were less happy about it, now there's almost no complaining when a new phone has no headphone jack. Fanboys will remain fanboys, some longtime users were angry when HTC, Sony and more recently OnePlus removed the jack, but eventually they accepted it. I bought the Note 9 expecting to still use the headphone jack but every day I use it less and less. It's good for some serious audiophile music listening, but for casual music streaming, AAC, AptX and LDAC are more than good enough. The latency was awful for games, but that was due to badly optimized software and has been improved greatly with the Android Pie update. Unless you really care about that SLIGHT difference in competitive gaming, it isn't the end of the world. Having to charge is an inconvenience at first but many Bluetooth headphones have either batteries or charging cases that allow them to last longer than a day. I'm more annoyed by the fact that many manufacturers are still using microUSB on their Bluetooth headphones for charging.
Headphone jacks dont harm water resistance anyway. Its a ridiculously simple connector, which makes it incredibly easy to waterproof. Second part is definitely true. I'd much rather have 5000mah and a couple more mm than a couple less mm and only have 2700mah. But my phone has 5000mah and a headphone jack and is unofficially waterproof down to a meter.

They are generally much smaller than what other manufacturers use today, which begs the question:
With the fact samsung have atrocious battery life and degrade very quickly, are their batteries even the amount of Amps they say they are, or are they modding the battery's built in firmware to report a higher number than is true?
That would certainly explain how when I had an S7, it always died within 5 hours of being unplugged. I have never had that bad of a battery life with ANY phone before, Androids included. Even when I had a Sony Xperia Z2, that lasted all day despite having a 2K display, without problems. And I'm not the only one either. Every friend of mine who has/had a samsung reports the same complaints. Even Linus himself had to release a follow up video to his S9 review where he initially praised the battery - because he realised after some time that the battery is in fact, absolutely terrible.
Manufacturer: the headphone jack takes lots of space for a 3 pin connector, could be used so much better and not all devices are same, note9 is a phablet and it's large, not even is the same category
Manufacturer: Bluetooth sound quality is already good enough and smartphones aren't audiophile devices.
@Tong Zou Because the headphone jack is going away now, from all devices promptly
@Tong Zou No the reason is that there are better ways like usb-c and bluetooth
What about removing the battery from smartphones so they can be super thin and light and whenever you want to use them you can just plug an external battery in the USB port

What exactly are people doing the Waterproofing Is THAT much of a necessity hell i often have snow in my pocket with my phone( middle coat pockets are great snow catchers when you got your hands in them). The amount of flagships today that don't have the jack are so many that simply having it in one flagship device can quite literally make it stand out from the competition now.
I wonder what would happen if a startup came along and released a phone that was relatively thick (at least by today's standards), that incorporated all features consumers looked for. A headphone jack, the biggest battery that's available, dual cameras, wireless charging, expandable memory, no notch display that's 120hz, and most importantly, stock android (no dumb skin or bloatware). I mean call me crazy, but I'd happily buy a thicker phone if it meant I got more functionality out of it.
Edit : Of course extensive R&D would be necessary to create a good user experience. Another reason to continue with the headphone jack, Type C can be used for royalties or just for a brand.
@@9SMTM6 can't agree. The Type C connector is inherently more complex by design, it just can never be cheaper to produce and to implement on production machinery, let alone hobbysts.

I agree. I work as a tailor, work with my hands, have done for over forty years, and I fumble with the thin phone to try to hold it just right so I don't accidentally press some button or other. Ergonomics dictates that a certain amount of thickness makes for much more convenient handling.

Don't most if not all desktop computers have headphone jacks (or several ways to connect audio), Bluetooth/WiFi is reserved for top end models?
If there was any truth to their "water proof excuse", why do we still have charging ports, speaker grills, microphones, and side buttons?
*thing works and millions are happy*
*No, we need to increase the price and cut millions of functional headphones/peripherals out of the tech loop so people will buy our branded, overpriced headphones*
3. Analog quality is worse than digital
Actually no. analog just takes more bandwidth.
So the main consensus is:
It wasn't due to waterproofing, space, or audio quality.
@@illdeletethismusic
Oh they MOST certainly bought it for name and recognition and NOT for the tech.
They wanted to tie the apple brand to beats to seem "hip."
I still think they are going to push more DRM, get rid of anything analog and thus removing recording devices.
One reason is probably because they are expensive to repair the headphone jack, and it is something that is easily damaged . But that should make iphones cheaper, as they then don't have to worry about warranty repairs of headphone jacks.
No, this is a terrible trend and actually a reason I'm hanging on to my current phone
At least most budget phones still have the jack. Ironic, isn't it?
*why the headphone jack is going extinct*
Me, a musician: are you sure about that
It's amazing how every single change being made to smartphones in recent years is the exact opposite of what I actually want.
"I want physical buttons that I can press without having to look rather than digital buttons that don't work if the phone freezes or glitches out"
To be fair in the situation where your phone freezes or glitches out even if you did have physical buttons the program that's supposed to be registering those button presses.... is frozen or glitched out... so as a result it doesn't matter whether your input is coming from a digital or physical button. It won't do anything either way. The buttons that do work even in those cases are handled by the OS and again, it doesn't matter if they're digital or physical. If the OS can still operate fine, the buttons will work. If it can't then you're shit out of luck either way and will have to boot the phone.
Not really. I have had numerous times on my iPhone 5s where the screen freezes and only the Home button can get out of it.
Stupid cheap phone companies making bad phones as always.
Yea - and removable batteries.
I have the HTC Bolt I wouldn't recommend it but the Samsung Galaxy s8 active is something I'd look into.
Especially considering that phones have gotten MUCH LARGER over the years - there's a shitton of space inside if you know how to optimize your shit!
