- We're continuing the expansion of our realistic north american metropolitan area, Riverview! This time, we're turning to some American modern suburban sprawl, building a suburb far away from the downtown cores, connected by highway/interstate, and complete with its own little shopping/commercial area, a few modern offices, an elementary school, a fire station, and a medical clinic. Try building a small city on top the mountains
I wouldn't mind a whole detailing-episode, where you revisit the older builds within Riverview Metro and make them prettier, and for your bigger infrastructure builds.

I think Kendrick needs it's own train station. Transportation to the city center / downtown for the workers.
It's north American themed, so as an American I have to say that it does not need a train station lol

The concentric circles of bushes as detailing for your roundabout is completely genius as far as I am concerned. Gonna have to appropriate that little trick for use in my own city.
Love the suburb, and it probably wouldn't be so bad to live there, but it'd be a lot nicer if it had rail service to Riverview.
I also think a rail service to that place would be a must, but Im afraid the train station in game is just too big to fit properly though
Yeah i really wish there were some different sized stations for small town builds like this.
I think it's time we stopped glorifying suburbs, they are the reason why our cities are in debt and struggling
Suburbs size if that rarely has a railway connection if not having a historic background. Only public transport is bus tops.
@@Electrodexify I believe none of us are glorifying the suburban sprawl urban design, but Infra is basing his city on the usa, so thats the reason he’s building suburbs like those and we’re just commenting about it :)

As part of the hippy population can we get a small forest outlined with a district named "hippy camp" and have nothing but trees 😂
you should add the unique buildings, like the rock musician, film actor mansions etc to that area and create more upscale hollywood hills style neighborhood up higher in the mountains.
I think upgrading services in downtown such as hospitals and a big police HQ, etc. But also a Medical University or something like that would be cool to see

Next episode you should look over your public transport options. Add a subway sysyem which stretches out to Kendrick aswell. Just dont over do the subway with to many stops, just add them to connect all the different small centers togheter
I would love to see kendrick also extend further up the mountains, a bit like Hollywood hills for luxury housing. With a beautiful view over the City in the Distance. Or some mountain villages with Serpentine roads
Time to grow the Riverview tram! Expand is the word, if roads can have infinite grow, so can have trams! What do you say, Mr Mayor?

As always great to watch your video! Thanks for that. Although for my personal taste, there's an "over-smoothing" in the whole CS2 community, for example at 11:22 the little steep hill to the side of the road seems a lot more realistic than after the smoothing out. Just my two cents, just something i noticed most creators do a lot
I agree with everybody about a train station. I think flat area across the river from the school would be a nice place for it. You could add another commercial section near it. I also think that you need to add some specialized Industry out in that area. Maybe something as simple as a Rock quarry. Maybe the town developed because of the rock quarry and then changed over time into a more affluent high income community because the folks who don’t want to live in the city moved out to the suburbs.
All I can say is wow! This is one of my fav Cities II build so far, I cannot wait until it releases for console and I will totally be taking some inspiration from your content! ✨😁
Thanks for the kind compliment - I am looking forward to the console release as well, as I feel there is much more potential for creating realistic builds in CS2 than CS1 without mods!

You should up-zone more of the main island of Riverview to medium and high density buildings like manhattan since they have a similar shape and you have the demand

I think that custom buildings like "pop star house" may fit very good in the Town of Kendrick
Man, you pretty much ruined my other City Skylines youtubers for me xD Your love to detail and patience is unparalleled and I always get so annoyed now when they don't take the time to zone it like you or don't connect the roads up properly with off/on ramps etc :D all the little things

Love you building Riverview county, it’s just fascinating to watch😊 especially with all the these mew tools available! Waiting for public transit episode, now a pretty bad bus route is required to serve Kendrick as in the best traditions of America😅
I think You should now unlock the Grand Bridge and have it in the city as a historic landmark.
For a city in America you really need more parking, both on street and parking garages in the metro areas. We rely on cars here as cities here are built with that in mind and we dont tend to have mass transit like the EU has. That lovely tall hotel would have a garage on that lot next to it for its guests.
This series is very enjoyable to watch. Your city is really beautiful, I wish I could build cities like you

Honestly I love this city so much that you can put me in the worst district and I will still will be happy to live there. Anyways, I would like to live in Lower Eastside, because of the location, so I could walk thru downtown, and the Riverview Central Gargens that are by the corner. Also the beautiful view to the Love island and New Chalsea.

Looks great. The new surface detailing is such an improvement already. To the suburb i'd just add an elementary school and some public transit into the city.

I feel like the last 'detailing' element you miss on the highway is adding lighting!
I've already gone back to playing CS:1 until paradox mods roles out but I am really enjoying this build the most out of all the CS:2 content creators! Especially with the fact that I live in the New England area. (The highest concentation of "Rotaries" exists here). Great Job and keep up the good work!

Maybe I was thinking you could do like a commuter rail from the new suburb that you just built in the episode all the way out from downtown because more Lanes doesn't always mean better traffic it is called induced demand.

You could name Kendrick "The Gap", based of a suburb in Brisbane, Australia. Its geological features are similar, with it being straddled by two decent mountains on either side, and it offers the only connection from the neighboring to Riverview, hence the name (a gap in the mountains allowing passage). The lore for it could be similar to that of the actual suburb - it started off as a small and spread-out community of farms and logging-mills, but over time it grew in population and began to sprawl and fill in, resulting in the calm suburban suburb it is today.

parks often have other city services located in or nearby them, at least in the US cities I've been in.
I would love to play this city, as in take your save and just run from where you left it.
