Special shoutout to Anthid for posting a video that showed off how actually viable the Short Circuit jump can be. Ever since it was added, I always kinda wrote it off as a weird bug that would never come into play. Turns out it's pretty useful (and at the very least, funny.) Thanks for the inspiration! • The Short Circuit is E...
If you're wondering why there are comments from 2 weeks ago on this newly released video, I hid this one within a playlist unlisted to see if anyone would find it. About 700 people watched it, which is cool. Shoutout to all of the secret-finders. But now it's time to set the video free.

Engineer can play Engineer
Engineer can play Scout
Engineer can play Spy
and now, Engineer can play Soldier
don't forget pyro!
And heavy too
Marketneering
Sentry jumping is kinda like soldier.
its more like a sticky jump with two stickybombs
I'm going to see more combat engineers do short circuit jumps from this point onwards
every single combat engineer from now until a few days/weeks from now will be short circuit jumping whenever they can
pops em up juuust high enough to be perfect airshot practice
It doesnt have to be applied to offensive capabilities, that extra jump can help reach more places easier.
I like pyro detonator jump so this one gonna be in my do to list

someone correct me if i'm wrong but to SC jump you need at least one projectile erased by it
@@D0NU75 I just tested it in tr_walkway, you just need to be near an enemy, and at point blank you can get really good height

engineer gaming
One of the reasons why I think TF2 has survived so long and is still interesting to this day is how there are almost infinite weird strategies and playstyles that aren't really competitively viable but work because the game is so goofy, but they never undermine the depth of the game and the skills you're rewarded for learning
NEVER?
*Sketchek and Delfy exploits*
its sad that shooters focus on perfect graphics and details, tf2 captured something no other developers will
Would be nice if there were more shooters out there that allowed for arcadey gameplay and encourage silliness while still being refined enough that a competitive scene is viable (or could be, if the developers behind the game actually bothered to continue development for their imminently popular game despite its age)
I personally think the state of hero shooters have grown to be one dimensional, I might be overgeneralizing but it feels current shooters just don't have enough depth for gameplay nowadays
@@financialproblems9308 Hero shooters aren't the problem, the problem is that TF2 set the bar so ridiculously high in the first place lol
Whenever Dane makes a montage the source engine casually rewrites itself to allow engineer to do something else ridiculous
*sees short circuit jump* He's beginning to believe

The engineer has developed a new evolutionary strategy to survive, exploiting a casual player's lack of object permanence. Truly remarkable.
can you hear it? it's the sound of every engineer player ever furiously opening tf2 and switching their loadout to the short circuit
Uncle Dane is so good at engie that when he wants to play other classes he just picks engineer and makes it work.

I remember when the short circuit jump was discovered a few years back, cool to see it's finally getting good use
I love how easy he makes this looks. He’s the epitome of “If you don’t want to be bad at the game, just play good lmao”
It also helps that he edits out only the successful kills. Sometimes he posts fail videos which I find even more inspiring.
@@AlexanderRM1000 What inspiring is there about? Unless someone regularly streams all of their gameplay(and showcases their godlike consistency) then it's given that any highlight video is cherry picked
@@tappajaav It's all about the contrast. Seeing how bad Dane fails is inspiring because we know he's a good player with some amazing highlights.

Wait you can do a jump with the short circuit? Learned something new
you have to bounce off an enemy. however you can get the best power if the ball collides with the enemy and the ground at the exact same time
the short circuit has three uses, and we’ll keep finding more until valve tries to rebalance it again (which is not anytime soon)
the thee we’ve found so far are
1.deleting projectiles
b.flash-bang
third.the new circuit jumping
Your making me mad with they way you listed them
1, b, third. XD
IV. AoE weapon for crowd control
35 damage aint much but it can penetrate multiple times and covers large distance
005. Spychecking tool ( both alt attack aka only useful attack as well as pathetic main attack)

I want there to be ways to do alternative rocket jumping like this for other classes. Imagine if spy was able to do this. The trickstabs would be amazing. Maybe I’ll try to figure something out with the big earner speed.🤔
you could do addcond 32 9999 to give urself the speed boost and lab it out on various maps with a lot of sloped walls/props, if you jump just right they'll convert your movement speed into height (or you could find a wild surf that opens up a completely new route to use post-stab (or when u get whipped by a soldier))

It used to be possible.
Back when the Dead Ringer let you take no damage from anything, backstabs were even on that list, so you could go FLYING.
