    What size of needles do you use?? Brand?

    • @cornwagonquilts
      @cornwagonquilts  10 дней назад

      We recommend using a Chenille needle size 22 or 24. Primitive Gatherings or Sue Spargo are both excellent brands and we carry both on our website cornwagonquilts.com

    Wonderfully detailed and clear Directions! Could you tell me what knot you use to knot your thread before you start to stitch?

    • @cornwagonquilts
      @cornwagonquilts  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, I use a basic quilters knot, wrapping the wool thread 3 or so times around the needle before pulling to knot. Thank you for watching!

    Do you starch or lightly pre-wash your wool fabrics before you begin (to avoid shrinkage later)?

    • @cornwagonquilts
      @cornwagonquilts  7 месяцев назад

      We use wool that has been through a felting process (washed in hot water and dried in a hot dryer). This shrinks the wool and mats the fibers together so that it doesn't fray for the raw edge applique. This way, starch is not needed.
