After I watched a video with bias fx2 I got my first guitar and bias fx (bought both today) after something around 15 years without playing... I'm finally hiped to learn. Positive grid did a really amazing job
I'm a little late to the update and the comments. I've been playing with the acoustic guitar match and it seems if you turn the resonance, the presence and the bass all the way to zero and just add the mids and highs to taste, then it sounds really close. You also have to play with the acoustic amp settings as well.
I was very pleasantly surprised this was a free update, and not saved for a v3 upgrade. Like you said, it could be a demo/taste to drum up interest for a v3 upgrade, too. I remember when their original iPhone app came out, JamUp/Pro, and took a chance on it. Then BIAS came out, and now here we are with a full suite for computers. Nice. The basses sound... a little weird to me, but it's certainly useable, absolutely. I could also be suffering from confirmation bias, so I'll give it time and play with it more once I get my computer set up after moving. I think it's still like 90% there at least, though. Maybe even 95%. The acoustic still sounds like an electric guitar to me, most of the time. But it's a lot closer than it used to be. Still, it's a great update for sure.
Probably bc they got massively shamed by Steve Vai. Loving that I booted up today and upgraded for free. I'll be trying stuff out and repping them for doing that.
@@MakeTheMusic any tips and suggestions on getting a more convincing bass sound from your guitar? i have been doing the pitch shifting guitar to simulate a bass sound for years.
Is there some way to get into the BIAS preset of the MIDI controller to view/edit parameters? I'm using the pedal with my Headrush MX5, but the lights don't work when I press any footswitches, even tho, I can toggle pedals on and off.
It will probably will now include the new amps, but I didn't experience any change to previous amps. If you're concerned, you can just not download the newest version and you will be fine.
I tried the free trial and I could not get the sound to output to a Bluetooth speaker or headphones. Anyone else have that issue? Or am I dumb. Lol. I’m on Mac OS
I'm glad to have found a channel where Bias FX2 is being used. It has lost quite a bit of popularity in recent years, but in my opinion, it's still the best plugin out there. What's your nickname on Tonecloud?
Anytime or use a guitar match feature it would cause a huge input lag for my guitar. I always had to uninstall the software and reinstall so annoying. It’s been totally worthless for me.
Ahh man I was hoping to use my saved bias fx presets with the spark amp I just got….. but learned the hard way tonight. Never the less, I’m still happy with the amp

Really liking Bias FX 2 as well!

Thanks for the tips!
Finally a great update. Bias is great again!!
Very much agree!
When going from dual chain to single, it will keep whichever amp is selected at the time
Good to know!

Hopefully this all comes in V3... and doesn't cost an arm and a leg!

Bias fx is now competitive again love this!
Totally agree! What's your new favorite feature?
@@MakeTheMusic gonna try it out later this week!
Wait a minute…. That bass tone is from your guitar. Wow man
Yeah, pretty impressive. I have another video coming out next week comparing a real bass to their guitar match. The results were surprising!
Looking forward to that video!

Awesome! Thanks for the video!
You bet!
Sounds pretty good.. I did already get the LE version on some offers long ago..
Pretty sweet deal!
I have this but barely touch it as Amplitube, Softube Amp Room and the Neural stuff are just way better sonically.
Yeah, Positive Grid is behind a bit when it comes to AmpSim stuff.
Hi, what about BIAS FX 2 for iOS? Is it available? I got it but I cannot see the re-masterd amps. Thanks in advance. Alex.
I would email positive grid support about that.
still not native for Apple Silicon Chips. Is that right?
Correct.

I'm not sure how to address this. I would contact positive grid support.
I’m playing my guitar through the INL input but I’m getting no signal coming through on the metering ?
Check your interface software.
i have bias amp2 but not fx2. Since this update mostly affects amps, is it going to affect the bias amp2 models as well?

The bass sound great to me.
I know, I was very surprised!
hey, i hope someone reads this but, is there a way to use a wah wah onto an already recorded guitar? on pro tools 12 with biasfx2
Like a pedal, or in the plugin?
Your presets are really good. Can I get few what you made ?
Under "Make The Music" there's a bunch of them in the Bias FX 2 Tone Cloud.

What's your nickname on Tonecloud?
Glad I could help! BIAS FX2 is by far the most versatile amp sim in my opinion. My tonecloud nickname is "MAKETHEMUSIC.

Yeah, positive grid stuff can be frustrating at times.
How do we get the amps on mobile?
Email Positive Grid support about that one.
im using cracked version and i can't download presets... it said "Unknown error occured" when I try
I would recommend not using a cracked plugin.
@@MakeTheMusic do you know Turkish economy :D
Is the update only if u have elite license
I think the updates went out to everyone.
Which license of biasfx2 do u have?
I have the elite license.
@@MakeTheMusic any difference between the Pro license and elite license?
So I need to plug my spark into a computer to use it? Does it play through the amp like the app does? Very confused and frustrated.
Hi Gregory, BIAS FX 2 is a standalone guitar modeling suite separate from the Spark app and family of amps. Hope this helps!
Bingo.
Ahh man I was hoping to use my saved bias fx presets with the spark amp I just got….. but learned the hard way tonight. Never the less, I’m still happy with the amp
I bought this but been disappointed since trying out Neural Effects products.
This sounds a bit better than it did prior for sure
Neural has great products as well. Seems like Positive Grid is finally stepping up their game!
So little coverage for FX2 these days... Guess PG have other focusses.... Decent plugin with good sounds.
Agreed! Been using the plugin for years!
But... Can I play a six string bass and have it sound like a guitar? 🤣
LOL
