Thanks for sharing this interview. Monsson is a very lovely person with a bright mind like her dad. I see Guy Spier a bit tired, I wish he does more walking and stay away from sugar. Have a long live Guy!

Respectfully, it does look like Guy simps over Mohnish in a way that sort of guarantees that Mohnish will never truly respect him as an equal. Guy could post a decades-long record of Buffett-level returns but the way that Guy voluntarily subordinates himself in every conversation as Mohnish's inferior tells me that equality is no longer possible. You can respect someone without falling over yourself to flatter them, which is what I feel like Guy does which is too bad; I like him and he deserves better but it's hard to have sympathy for him when he's doing this to himself.

@@billykhoabillykhoa7844 maybe you’re right and perhaps I should reflect on that. I just think Guy took the “be lavish with your praise” advice from dale carnegie and took it too far, passed the point where he’s sacrificing his own dignity. Mohnish does the same thing to Warren and charlie.

@@sillyhead5 if a person is deserving of praises, I don’t see how you would lose your dignity by praising them.

@@billykhoabillykhoa7844 I agree. I'm not against praise. I do plenty of it. I'm just saying there's a point when it becomes too much and it starts looking like you're submitting to them in a way that makes equality (of the sort that partners and friends need) impossible. That's what I'm noticing Guy Spier doing every time Mohnish's name comes up. This is just the latest example.

IMO, I guess you are have some respect for Guy in a sense, and you dont like to see someone you respect seem to be surbodinate to the others. But I think you just too sensitive. Why Guy, or you, or me have to be care to show "leadership" somewhere or with someone, the importance is inner scorecard, do we think we do good enough ourselves? And I think Guy confident in what he has done and will do, that's good enough. Other than that, some people have conservative style, some "shy" style, some humble, some little bit "arrogant", I think all should be acceptable as long as it doesn't impact one"s rationality
